Only my opinion but the HKS camshafts look alot higher quality and nicer finish compared (yes i have seen both) to the tomei cams i saw and the 3 cars with HKS cams that i know of average over 600rwhp so yeh my preference is HKS cams but only my opinion. Mine havn't even been dialled in yet at 608rwhp.

BLK180 your thinking of buckets. Need tomei buckets with anything over 11mm lift. I run HKS 272 272 step II with 10.25mm lift and can use stsandard buckets and retainers. Very lumpy idle but i love it sounds so nice .

The AVC-R's solenoid is a toy. Maybe good for a stock turbo running 13psi and thats about it. NEver seen one hold a straight boost curve

Blitz dual solenoid EBC;s for serious use at decent boost levels. AVCR for unstable boost , shitty rice factor and a gay solenoid.

I used Pauter rods in my engine and are holding 610rwhp without a drama i was told rated at 250hp a rod. They are quite light and have a weird design (+ beam ) thats seems to work well. Brian Pauter (shop owner) told me they make rb30 rods to order. WWW.PAUTER.COM

My mates r33 gts-t stock motor with one of these master power turbo's runs 11.8 . Some other guys i know use them as well run good times . GOTBOOST r32 gts-t ran 11.1 i think with the t70.

I think this is true to a point but with turbo techonology of today and eveyrthing else advancing so far i think you can have the best of both worlds now . I ran a 10.9 babying the stock gearbox , the car makes 454rwkw's and has a power band 4000-9000rpm .

Thanks for the reply brad but i think u might go past me horspower power wise as u got a nice forged crank to rev ut hard and 2.7L ! I would like to try miine on 2 bar in a few weeks with some bigger squirters and see what the t04z is capable of because at 24psi its showing no signs of letting up yet.

For a 3L bottom end id prolbably go the 1.06 rear housing. I didn't read that it was for a 3L sorry.
