You grossly overstate the unreliability of Commodores and Falcons. They make up a large proportion of cars on the road so of course a lot of them are going to be at the side of the road. The only reason theyre there in the first place is because morons dont maintain them properly and they fall apart just like any other car. I have a VP Commo with over a third of a million kms on it and its still going strong *touch wood* still its original engine and auto.

The anual RWC system is fundementally flawed, and having lived in both NSW and Victoria I know from experience. The NSW RWC is so easy to pass its ridiculous, RWC while you wait, 10 minutes later its all done and fine, most cars my gf's family or friends have wouldnt pass a RWC in Victoria in a million years, yet year after year they pass in NSW because its just one big money making exercise.

Yeah but you can always say "Can you get to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds". And Plus cars are fun to drive, I have a blast sometimes just burling around (at or below the speed limit) in my VP Commodore wagon, can you put a price on something that puts a smile on your face and lets you feel that freedom, like for those few minutes you can do anything. I agree with RBNT, i'm already looking at what car i'm gonna buy for when I have kids even though thats probably 4-5 years away. And fuel economy will not be an issue, the only issue is how much I can afford to pay, money no object Audi RS6 wagon

I think its a brilliant idea but its also flawed in one large fashion, you cant rely on something like this for the majority of Melbourne's water because if it breaks it will take time to fix, I still think we should build it though it is a bargain to supplement Melbourne's current and future water usage but should be used in conjuction with more catchment areas and dams, no point having all this extra water from Tassie and no damns to store it in because the state government is too short sighted to build more.

I'm all for quieter exhausts on cars but these statistics are just a joke, personally I would be more worried about the coppers catching burgulars and rapists than people having noisy cars. I also love the way they included dangerous driving in with the noisy cars making these statistics even more of a joke, everyone knows at least one person who drives like an idiot.

I would love to actually see a graph of driver skill as a value, I know it would never happen because that would require massive retesting or honest participants, but it would be interesting. Your right most of us consider ourselves not the best driver, but god damn there must be some dishonest people out there. I really wonder sometimes if people are that bad because they dont pay enough attention driving or there just that f**king stupid. Like could they be good for 30 mins and pass a driving test again or would they all fail miserably.

I hate you guys right now, my internet is about half as quick compared with that, when its working. No problem with the ISP mind you, the lines in my area are f**king horrible, thanks Telstra. Add to this I only live less than 1km from the exchange. I spoke to the techie when they put my phone line in and he reckons they've needed to replace and/or repair most of the lines in the area for nearly 8 years now, so you just grit your teeth and deal with it.

You would get crucified by optus uploading that much, I uploaded max 40gb a month, most months only 20-30gb and they cut me off no warning no nothing. When I rung up to complain they said "Oh we emailed you in your optusnet email about your service being suspended for excessive uploading." Naturally I was dumbfounded at the fact that the only way I could of been aware of my service being suspended was access to the internet during the time of suspension, naturally I dont use Optus anymore, the only limit to my uploading now is the physical limit of the connection

Victoria is in no way over populated, it has a few bottle necks especially around new housing estate, but over populated is a huge stretch. Better driving as in driving at the speed limit and keeping left would solve many a problem, a lot of people are fearful of driving at the speed limit with all of the government wipe of 5 campaigns and all of the insane drivers on the road, then the same fearful people drive too slowly end up giving people the shits, people with the shits then do something stupid or illegal to get around said slow coach and it results in accident.

I completely agree with you mate. You think Melbourne is bad try driving in Sydney, more cars and even more dickheads, here in Sydney though they all love driving 20kph below the speed limit in the right hand lane. Just for the record I've lived and drove in both places and Sydney is by far the worst place to drive

Had both, found them to be much the same. Except with my new ADSL2+ ISP my uploads arent counted unlike Optus who suspended my service twice for "excessive uploading". Had no problems in the nearly 2 years i've been with my new ISP Comcen.
