I didnt see the sugestion of the SSS Pulsar coming from you at all Marc R31 is always a good cheap option if it blows up just throw it away and buy a new one. EA-EL Falcons on gas can be found on LPG for 2-2.5k which reduces running costs massively and in a year or less (depending on how much you drive) it would of paid for itself. Also you can sell on a car on LPG for the same if not more than bought if for even 4-5 years down the road.

How To Prove My Intercooler Is Stock?
FrangaR33 replied to Owens's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Fail on my part, now I know better Maybe try and see if you can find a brochure or something that shows the front mount in a picture otherwise I dont really know how you can convince someone otherwise, especially considering they already seem to be convinced that its aftermarket. -
How To Prove My Intercooler Is Stock?
FrangaR33 replied to Owens's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
To the best of my knowledge the R33 GTR didnt have a front mount stock, it had a side mount intercooler and I dont think it is that size either. So its probably aftermarket. -
Yeah they come out in sedans, much rarer than the coupe but there are still millions of them. Link to Carsales
-
I agree, although the 32 sedan looks a million times better than das boat 33. I love the R33 coupe, but the sedan is just plain wrong, especially the way the rear is different to the coupe.

My mate wrapped his Gemini around a pole at 50km/h made a right mess of it too, so in the wet with a RWD car spinning it out is always an option especially when cornering. I've nearly spun my wagon out turning out of a street onto the highway in the wet doing all of 20km/h, when I first got my P's. Remember the ANCAP frontal crash testing is done at only 64 km/h and that makes a right mess of cars, if crash was a side on impact you can imagine how much worse the carnage would be.
-
+ 1 Personally I think its all about driver education teach the inquisitive younguns when there 16 and will take any excuse to drive, so that when they do get their P-Plates they can control anything from a 1.8L Pulsar to a 6.2L Clubsport. I spent my P's driving big RWD Commodore and Falcon wagons and learned the cars limits and my own quite quickly, so now I drive more or less grandma style keeping to the speed limits and only really giving it the boot at the traffic light GP. As far as the NA GTR goes I can only echo my fellow SAU'ers opinions, it is one of the stupidest project ideas I have ever read about on here. OP do yourself a favour and just buy a R31 with the dirty 30 and have your fun, wrap it around a tree no biggie and your not out of pocket 20+k.
-
That is a brilliant looking car and you can have one for 3k no doubt in rubbish condition but still it seems like a bargain. It would make a great crusing/project car.

What's Wrong With The R33?
FrangaR33 replied to hylian's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
All I know is I want one and I wish I had the cash to buy one at the moment. I know the R33 has been bastardised by every bogan wanting a turbo and "fully hektik" wogs but its still a brilliant car. I plan on having mine long after they have all sold theirs on so they can all buy the next cooler newer car for "fully sick" people. -
The Power difference is the GT is the RB20 which has 114kw and the GT-X is the RB25 that has 147kw. So an extra 33kw for 1k completely legit on P-Plates sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me and better resale value to someone like yourself in the future is after the R34 NA but with that little bit more power.
-
If your heart is set on a R34 definetly keep looking for the RB25 model, the hassle and cost involved in doing a conversion it wouldnt be worth it. Its not too much more for the RB25DE model sometimes you end up with it being the same price or cheaper than the RB20 model. If its just the N/A skyline your after and you want to go a bit quicker I reccomend the R32 with the RB25DE it would be a fair bit quicker than the R34 with it being nearly 200kg lighter and probably better resale value when you get off your P's too. It seems the R32 RB25DE Skylines have bottomed out in price especially with the new P Plate laws.

I was talking about an amount of black powder in say a 5 or 6kg sack, i've watched enough Mythbusters to know that can make a fair bit of mess especially in a confined space. Sorry about the confusion

Never under estimate the stupidity of your fellow man.

Poor old James, thats a major bummer. I was really hoping to one day be a member once I had that sort of cash to play with. Hopefully an investor steps up and buys up the company if managed correctly its clear it could be very profitable. Maybe James could be the boss

Call me crazy but I think maybe they should try and detect gunpowder, it can give off a hell of a bang. Not that testing for explosives is necessary on a domestic flight, theres more people on the rush hour train to the city for god sake.

"Microsoft and FOXTEL are working together to launch the FOXTEL service on Xbox LIVE towards the end of the calendar year. Packages and prices, the full channel line-up, and further product details will be released publicly closer to the service launch." Stay tuned for full details in the coming weeks and months.

Welcome to SAU. My girlfriends the same way, Most of the time shes got no idea, but she's learning and she's keen to learn more which is good. Just dont learn too much about cars he might start to feel threatened

If your already thinking of selling I would put a bit of work into a cheap 180sx. The skyline NA's are worth heaps now thanks to p platers so you could get relly good money for it. Hell for about 4k you can buy a 180sx not in great condition but if you dont mind fixing it up, you could have both. And when your off your P's you wont have worry about the Auto to Manual conversion making it harder for you to sell it.
