Yeah I would be interested in Sat nav only. Then get a Spec Doc + ipod for music. I just like the thought of having sat nav tucked away instead of on a window suction cap, but I guess the options are endless now with touch screen tablets on the market. Stage222, any pics?

No, the DVD rom is not there, so I guess its useless getting the screen again. Was the TV an option on the ARX or standard? I thought it was standard but I have been told it was an option.....

The reason I ask is that my standard screen has been removed before it came to australia. Would it be worth buying another second hand sock one + mechanism (i have seen them for $200) and going down this route, or just go a custom install of an aftermarket screen that will do gps?

Has anyone figured out how to replace the standard screen with an aussie compatible screen with GPS + still running the fuel economy software. I'm sure there would be enourmous interest if someone could figure out how to get an aftermarket GPS to fit the stock mechanism so it could still pop up and retract.... I would be first in line. PS. I have been running searches and this is the closest I came.

Another question along these lines.... If the stereo fails in an ARX, is it possible to just replace the double DIN with an aftermarket double DIN? Or even if it hasn't failed. There would be some cutting of the dash etc. But if it was done properly would it be possible? Cheers

So I am trying to piece together all the info from this thread.... I like the look (and descriptions) of the Fujitsubo Legalis. Its not too loud is it? Wow. That Sucks $1k to fix a screwed stereo... So is that to replace it with an aftermarket stereo and new dash panels from a non ARX model or something? Hopefully It doesn't happen to me.

FYI If you are in Adelaide you can get Gulf Western Sougi S6000 for about $70 from Autopro at Modbury.

Cheers Chris. I am pretty much set on an ARX so I guess i will have to cross that bridge when i come to it. Are they difficult to repair/replace? Can you just disconnect them when they fail to avoid it taking out the air con.. Or does that take out the whole head unit. PS. Had another look/listen to the stereo in an ARX I was looking at and I could not see Bose written anywhere, so I guess it was the standard system. It sounded pretty good to me.

Just wondering about M35 ARX's Standard stereo equipment. Do they all come with Bose speakers? Or are there cheaper factory options? I know the sub in the spare wheel seems to be a pretty rare option but not sure about the speakers, head unit etc. Reason, being is that I'm looking at one that is currently 'on the boat' from Japan so they don't have any stereo info yet. ... Comparing this to one that I have looked at that does have the Bose (The sound is great!) Not really a huge deal to me but interested just the same. Edit. OK, after some more searching, I found that there is also a Clarion deck for ARX, so I suppose they would have lesser quality speakers? Do they still sound OK?

Hi, I have been lurking here for a while now...... I have been wanting to get a Stagea for about 7 or 8 years and I am finally about to make the move. I am looking at M35's but after hours on this thread and others I am a bit concerned about the turbo issue. Are they guaranteed to go about 100,000km, or is it just a few that it happens to? And would an ARX4 be worse due to the higher boost? As far as I can tell this is this case and the repair bill can be around $2k. If anyone could clarify it would me much appreciated. Cheers
