  1. highway cruizing (100km/h in 5th or top) is the only way to check true oil pressure, oil pressure will not build up on idle. its not something you have to do straight away, but it gives you a good indication of the oil quality etc. currently in the car.
  2. i imagine if the neck fits they should all be the same. i will look into it
  3. is it an aftermarket pump? when you turn the key the ignition over do you hear the fuel pump? my car started to conk out the died when i tried to accelerate... all it ended up being was my earth wire wasnt earthing right, ended up replacing my fuel pump for no reason, so have a look and run the earth wire directly to where your battery negative goes to the car behind the seat? cheers
  4. PM's replied, the actuall glass doesnt need to be in contact, mainly the rest of it
  5. will the supercheap pod filter adaptors be the same???
  6. i have a 3A POD filter and cant seem to find an adaptor plate to suit r33 GTS-T (RB25)... will any other brand adaptor plates to suit r33 be compatible with the 3A POD??? cheers 4drftn
  7. would it help to maybe drain all the fluid and replace it???
  8. i have searched for it but everyone has the reverse problem to me. i have noticed that in the morning when i start my car and drive it the hicas light is off and my power steering is fine, now... when the car is shut off and i go to drive it again the light will come on and my p/s is heavy... But if its a hot day, the light will shop but after time it will go off and p/s returns... sometimes... but the next morning its fine... until i turn the car off when first got car it never happened often then it the light come up when the fluid went low, because one of the hose clamps was a little lose and seeping out. so i tighten it and now it happens all the time. could it be that i may have used a power steering fluid that wasnt compatibale with the stuff in the container? has this happened to anyone else? could it be the power steering pump? any suggestions will be great... thanks 4drftn

  10. im after a lsd diff for a daily driver, so nothing to agressive, but tight with a good lock on it.
  11. anyone got any pictures of the hood hack to an r33?
  12. looks like a retune for me then, unless the humidity is hot then it willl play up even if warmed up after driving for awhile. but it might pay to check my plugs and my coilpacks also, hopefully its only as minor as this otherwise a retune down here is pretty pricey...
  13. would definatly make a mess trying to fill the filter beforehand, as said above, it would be a waste of time as it would fill itself once car is driven
  14. sounds as if this could be the case ^ i know with v8's with large carbs or to bigger carbs will do this because the fuel will swish up the side of the barrels in the carb causing it to stall when on the gas. sometimes can happen in v8 cars (with big carbs) when stopping to fast or comming to a hault to quick at the lights... which sometimes results in a flushed looking face
  15. thanks guys thought i might have had it all in my head, about what your saying about the denceness of the air and it sounds to me it makes sence when put that way. as far as getting in contact with previous owner im unsure as to how the car really performed as to when it was picked up in sydney. didnt really take much notice to how the car ran being new to the turbo scene.
  16. hi, iv noticed that my car runs pretty poor in general, except when its a hot day... the car doesnt keep a steady idle, idles high (1000-1100rpm) and poops and cackles ect. (in the mornings when cooler, or of a night), but when driving on a hot day seams to keep a pretty steady idle and lowers idle down to about 500-600rpm now, the car was bought from sydney and i am in tassie where the weather isnt always as hot as it is in the mainland. iv been told that the weather could be a factor... does anyone else have this problem? could the weather be a factor? can it be fixed by a tunner? does it have anything to do with the microtech ecu? could it possibly be the heat range of my plugs? anything will greatly be appreciated cheers
  17. haha, why not... mine turned out like this... 中島 Nakashima (center of the island) 駿 Shun (fast person) fast person... yeah!
  18. ha ha ok. well i only wanted to know how it worked ect. i never said i wanted it
  19. thats a really cool effect, it looks alot better than large amounts of it comming out the side like in the movie
  20. what gives it the blue effect? is it part of the purge kit or is it something you have customly done?
  21. thought it might have had something to do with nos, i take it your car is a street car, how well will it go down with the law... have you had any trouble with it being fitted with transport or anything?
  22. watched 2 fast 2 furious today. near the start of the movie when he first comes to race in the r34, as he drives through the pack of people he gives it revs or something and gas, steam or something comes out of the side of the car... i think it comes out of flutes in the guards or something. i thought it was pretty cool. NOW. does anyone know how its done or what creates this cool effect? is it something to do with releasing pressure in the atmosphere via turbo/turbos? and if its possible for it to be done with a wider range of vehicles? or is it just a movie thing.... and i know it would be illegal... :laughing-smiley-014: cheers
