  1. Misleading topic, it's not really a Godzilla Looks nice though, GL with sale
  2. Just had a good look at all the belts and the tension seems to be fine. I think I will just take the car to a mechanic/auto electrician tomorrow and have the alternator tested. Will update thread with result in case anyone in the future has this issue
  3. Heyas, just need a few quick opinions on the following problem I just ran into with my Subaru.... Was driving for around 20 minutes when suddenly a wicked sound from the engine bay occured (sounded like a rubbing belt) and I was slowly starting to lose power - engine started slightly hunting and bouncing a little on the taco, and interior lights gradually became dimmer and dimmer. Stopped the car (belt noise was freaking me out) and checked the battery with volt meter - which said the volts were a little low (11.6) but never the less was in working order and is also fairly new. Tryed to turn the car over but no luck, engine just clicked. Ended up clutch started the car and ran it for another 20 minutes; the belt noises did not come back. I am thinking that the alternator belt needs a little bit more tension, and perhaps the noise was the belt slipping off the pulley and rubbing the cover? Just wanted to bang heads with you guys and come up with a possible solution Cheers, Michael
  4. Fair call mate - just noticed the km's as well GL with sale
  5. Sorry dude but I have to ask.. If your quote to fit and respray new panel is so cheap, and there is nothing else wrong with the car, why are you selling for $6k?
  6. Your add sucks dude, make it more appealing to the reader GL with sale

  9. Make: Mazda Model: 1991 MX5 NA 1600cc Milage: 87,000 km's Transmission: 5sp Manual Colour: Blue Location: Sydney Complied? Yes Currently registered? Yes - May, 2010 Price: $7,500 Contact: PM here or contact my mobile (Michael) - 0401 225 340 Up for sale is my Jap imported Eunos Roadster (rebadged as a Mazda by previous owner, who owned the car since new). I have been using the car as more of a weekend ride, as did previous owner hence the low GENUINE KM's. Apart from the dark tinted windows, the car is bog stock. 4 x newish tyres (80% tread), clutch is fresh, gearbox is tight, brakes are fine. I performed a service last week and changed the following: * Spark plugs (NGK) * Spark plug leeds (Top Gun) * Oil change (Castrol GTX2) * Oil filter * Fuel filter * Radiator/coolant flush Bad points: * Still has the stock Jap radio * Drivers side window can sometimes take a few extra seconds to open (go down) - possibly due to an ageing contact * Air con does work, however it suddenly doesn't want to blow cold air (compressor still works) * Needs a new air filter - I can supply buyer with a brand new K&N POD filter * Slight leak in the boot - During all the heavy rain over last couple weeks it has seeped through to one side of the boot, simply needs a seal * Paint work has some scratches/dints in it, as expected from a car this old This car IMO is all you could want in a car, looks good, redlines at 7,200rpm, electric windows, speakers in the head rests and has a kerb weight of ~ 900kg This car has been a bunch of fun to drive and own, but it's time for a change - would suite someone looking for a ultra reliable daily, or someone looking to make a track beast Depending on whats on offer, I may be willing to swap + cash either way All inspections welcome, and I'm more than happy to answer any questions or enquires relating to the car. P.S feel free to PM me for more photos. Cheers, Michael
