it's not so much the paint I'm worried about it's the holes into the bumper, the cross-section left from chopping out the middle bit, I need something to cap the ends or plug them up, I suppose I could buy some bog and fill it but I'd bodge it.

I attacked my front bar with a hacksaw yesterday, I enjoyed it waaayyy too much :alien: , chopped out the centre section of the stock series 1 bar to...errr...maximize airflow to the cooler (yeh that's it)...and as an added bonus I can actually see the cooler now. Has anyone else done this themselves and if so how did you go about tidying up the ends that are left near the indicators? I've just got 100/mph tape around the holes at the moment, doesn't look completely ugly, better than nothing, but I'd like a nicer finish. Any suggestions would be great.

thanks skyzer, 20,000 huh...hmmm thats roughly 12 months for me I think, that's how long my current crappy no name brand tyres have lasted and they're really starting to wear on the insides of the rears. Anyone know the price and availability on 2 x 235/45/17 and 2 x 255/40/17 Nittos? I heard Jash had some coming in and i think $370 was the price but I have no idea what sizes he was getting or how many.

hey GTS-t VSPEC, can you use Nittos as your everyday street tyres or are they just a drag tyre? and how long do you think they'd last on the daily driver with a fair amount of "spirited driving"?

I have a stock BOV and mine stalls every now and then if I don't blip the go pedal when nearly stopped. Just heel and toe (or whatever it is I'm doing) when down shifting into 1st when your coming to a stop, just a little flick of juice, enough to stop it stalling. You get used to it. Seems to happen more in the hot weather though.

I have a LCD projector you could use but it's probably not bright enough for outdoors, only 800 or 1000 lumens (i forget which). Let me know if you need it though.

How about a TV/monitor next to each of the display cars showing someone like gtrken (or other talented driver) giving that particular car a little work out at a trackday or mc day or summit? I would like to see what a car can do, not often you can tell what a car can go like by how it sits in a paddock.

What's the easiest way to check for exhaust manifold leaks? Are they easy to hear just at normal idle wit hthe hood up? ...and please don't say "you put your ear right up against the manifold..."
