If its a knocking sounds that seems like its coming from the rocket cover, or somewhere below, the harmonic balancer might be loose. You can tell if you rev the engine and the tapping increases. Obviously while at higher speeds it will be unnoticable. If this sounds like a familar story you could be ok and its as simple as just tightening the bolt which feeds through the harmonic balancer, may also need to adjusts your belts as well. However if you have left it for to long and its slowly come loose over a period of time which btw will be completly oblivious to you, kind of like a cancer through your bottom end and treating cancer is expensive...aka bottom rebuild. Never the less if your only just noticed you might be ok, as i bloody hope so, but i sugguest you get your car to an expierencd mechine asap, as this is an inherent curse RB's carry, i know i had cancer too

Adjusting Tein Super Streets - How?
Dos replied to Birds's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
TEIN SS coilovers using the 2x C spanners Decrease Height (lower car) = lower the collars Increase Height (raise car) = Raise the collars Dont touch the nut only the collars Note a) adjust the collars while the suspension is on the car b) Once your finished the car wont really appear to have changed, you need to drive it in order for the suspension and shocks to re-adjust might take 20 mins. Going over speedhumps and swaying from side to side helps the shock adjust quicker Simple. -
Cant believe none of you used the 'Grand Torino' approach: If they dont speed off 1 Slow down 2 Wind down your window while your next to there car driving or at the traffic lights (my favourite) 3 Extend your hand out while you glare at them in the eye with a mad dog look 4 Give em the old Handgun action at each there heads. 5 then if Im in a really pissed of mood i tailgate them as if im following them home Normally scares the shit out of them But tailgater get is worst neutral dump floor it, ive never see a car spit so much shit out the exhaust in my life, i guess thats why im get 260 to a tank..... haha there cars covered in black shit haha

Don't worry ill go through North bridge for all those people disappointing they couldn't go through cos all the lamo old ppl thought it was a bad idea... Friday nights in North bridge are far from hectic, my goodness its hard enough trying to find a place thats good enough to persuade me to get out of my car let alone looking out for places to avoid. Friday's nights in Perth blow and not even going to start on the night during the week, that's why i assume allot of people would prefer to go on a cruise on Friday opposed to Saturday because there really nothing else better to do. Who knows maybe a few extra cars would lighten the place up? :starwars: This is MADDNESS!

You don't exactly join the police force for the money. I thought they joined because they were natural assholes, so why not get paid for being one? EXCEPT Clarmont cops, they rule.

Hey guys, It took me 30mins to scrub off the black shit of my rear bumper let alone the small area just above the exhaust last night which got me thinking its time to invest in one of those carbon exhausts guards (a) because they look badass (b) i nearly had a sad when i thought i had burnt the paint off so i ignorantly scrubbed that patch over and over above the exhaust thinking 'its still good, oh god its not coming off' which it did after a good 20mins and a sore arm. i cant confirm but Im pretty sure there's not cat and im shooting flames I found a site in japan that sells them, http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/Attain-Car...per-Guard-21447 But there $220 which isnt a big deal but prefer something local and immediate Anyone know a dealer or possible shed some alternative adive which does not consist of putting the car back?

There is a lot of good advice being circulated about how to go about things. I just returned from buying my 34r from Brisbane as well, and going over there was well worth the money for piece of mind. But if i can give you my 2 cents its be patient. Times is in your favour with that state of the economy, and every once and a while theirs a real bargain. Generally if the cars have been on car sales its for a good reason and theirs nothing special on offer at the moment. That black one was up there for 62g about 4months ago, now its 58 or even lower now as he took off the rims and a few other things well, its also done too many K's as already mentioned. Even though your buying a car you need to think about selling it one day as well bro. P43ce BTW black is really nice, but white, you wouldn't know it but is tough as, and it looks chunkier as well, black hides definition on cars i'm talking about ha ha (had a black 34t before the white 34r)

Hey guys i just bought my 34R and the engine is completely forged, rebuild and chipped with stock turbos running Low 240atwkw and high 280kwatw. All the components are top quality but what strikes me as odd is its running the stock metal twin pods with the gold short pipes that attach to the AFM. Even the intake piping is stock with rubber piping along it as well. Sure i know more then your average joe about cars but I'm no mechanic, and I'm sure the guy who build the car knew a lot more then me which leads me to assume that obviously the stock intake and piping does a good enough job. So is there any real benefit from replacing the pods and inake with steel pipes. I seen some people get the inside and outside of the metal that has the TWIN TURBO badge on it as is helps airflow from less friction. I must admit my bov and internal gates sound like wooden flutes its horrible will the steel intake piping change the sound? From the information i have gathered i seems the best way to go is: Arc Induction box and custom intake pipes? But whats your advice about upgrading? Will the aftermarket piping change the stock from a sickly flute to something more badass and provide some real benefit on performance? Please no smart arse comments i really want some real constructive advice from people who know there stuff, have been there and done it, as im sure this could also answers questions others may have in the future let the learning begin!

You give them far to much credit Kelvin haha, im guessing there just to fat and lazy to get out of the car and set it up normally so they just set it in the back and open the boot lip btw come over and check my new ride, been in brissy for a few months, she just arrived last week!
