  1. Have you checked your fuses?
  2. that's going to be one hot little car  interesting brake rotor design.
  3. If your still using the standard loom and it hasn't been modified then i would say the problem is with your high/low beam/blinker switch as this controls the headlights (ie. there isn't a relay for switching between high and low beam, it's done in the dip switch itself). Use a multimeter to test where you've got voltage as that will help you work out where the problem is. You would've been better off posting in the General Maintenance section for this, but I'm sure a Mod will move it for you soon.
  4. Very nice Chris. Definitely looks like fun
  5. Rip the fan heater and A/C core out, it's just unnecessary weight that you'll never use. It's up to you whether you want to weld the fire wall up or just plug it. If you do need a hole down the track you generally will drill it where you want it rather then try and use an existing one.
  6. Our to do list seems to be growing.
  7. Yeah mate anyone can go. All you need is a L2S CAMS licence.
  8. R32 GTR FTW!
  9. I see you were in front of Eddie on the track and and on the time sheet. Well done Chris.
  10. Price Drop! $100
  11. It's just an old 4 cylinder turbo Volvo motor, 8 valve single OHC. But you should see the size of the hair dryer hanging off the side of the thing. I tell you what, it had us worried Nicest guy driving it too. Came all the way up from Victoria. It was his first drive at Wakefield and only the cars second outing.

  13. Webber might not have ever won a national championship but I'm sure if he hung around in each series until he won said championship then he wouldn't be where he is today. I'm sure that if any of you guys came 2nd or 3rd in the ute series and then got a drive in the V8's you wouldn't be saying "no I wont do that yet cause i haven't won the ute series" You'd all jump at the chance. He simply advanced he career as fast as he could just as anyone would and no matter what any of you think of his driving ability he's racing F1 and your not. Besides it's a well know fact that if your parents don't have money and lots of it then your not going to be a race car driver, Dick Johnson even said it him self in an interview a few years ago. You can complain as much as you like about current driving styles/standards but you all have to remember that F1 is a business and teams and drivers will do whatever they can get away with to win and make the big dollars and that means blocking on straights and racing to catch a safety car. It's just the same as a telemarketer calling at 8pm to try and sell you something. We all hate it and it's rude as hell but they're aloud to do it so they will to make money. Any form of top level motorsport is the same. Hell, club motorsport can be the same. If your half a lap behind the safety car and about to restart your going to push to close the gap so your not left behind.
  14. These are the D2 and G4 kits that JustJap sell http://justjap.com/store/home.php?cat=285
  15. Smashed gear box Chubbs. Brad was changing from 3rd to 4th at the end of the straight and it was all over red rover. It's currently stuck in 4th and we can't get it out. Had to drive it onto the trailer with the starter motor. We'll pull it out and strip it next weekend to inspect the damage, we're predicting stripped gears and smashed selector forks. Should make a good addition the the GTR carnage thread The car was on fire up until then but, should of spat out a 1:05 easy. Worst part is the 2hr drive each way + fuel + 2 lots of entry for a combined total of 7 laps between us, but that's racing for you

  18. Mine smells of fuel sometimes, they just do for some reason. Have a look for any fuel leaks. Welcome to the world of high performance (read: high fuel consumption) cars. I get 400 to 450 out of a tank if I drive it economically. Are you still running standard boost?(about 7psi/0.5bar i think) It's pretty common for the rear wheel arches to rust out due to the salt on Japanese roads and sounds like your was just patched with bog. Mine were cut out and new metal welded in. You'll have to take it to a panel beater to get it fixed properly.
  19. Looks like there were a few hot cars out there, would've been a good day. Some very nice pics there Matt
