Love the suede dash - did you do this yourself? I've been considering doing a suede or flocked dash myself, is it made out of 1 piece of material and just glued down? (I can't see any stitching or seams?)

From what i've read on here about the oil pumps, the standard RB30 oil pump is actually stronger than the RB26/N1 pumps... has a different design on the gears (sawtooth vs georotor or something?).. anyways refer to this post: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/N1...30#entry4822519

Turbo was always on the cards, if not from factory... It wouldn't have been long before someone swapped a wrx turbo motor into one... Thanks for the link scathing, that's 2 awesome looking things to wait for (FT-86 + GT5).. Wonder which one will be released first lol...

Wow, you learn something new everyday... Who would have thought a caravan shop would have something that is actually usefull? Can also get them from ebay too for those (like me) that wouldn't know where to begin looking for your local caravan shop

Yeah I can see how people would go crazy doing it... It's one of those things that seem like a good idea at the time you start doing it, and about 1/4 of the way through the first part you ask yourself what the hell you are doing lol... Ceramic coating would be nice, but it wasn't in the budget - the wet and dry sandpaper I got was $6.50 at supercheap That porka motor looks the goods, my motor wont look anywhere near that clean I'm sure, but I'm more worried about the rebuild than keeping it clean at this stage. Besides with the "polished" (I'm using that term loosely for my handywork) covers I'll at least be able to see the dirt, as opposed to the standard black ones. On the timing belt cover I started sanding off the grease initially, was wondering why the paint wasn't coming off as easy as on the valley cover lol. Didn't have any degreaser around, so used the industrial strength hand wash on it instead, worked a charm...

My engine crane is still being used by my dad, so was a bit bored this weekend while I wait to pull the engine out... So started this: Camera phone pics help hide the poor quality of my work on that...

Didn't think it did come on, but thought I'd check.. I have recently replaced my ABS unit as well... Gave it one test, and felt the peddle pulse... No thanks on the gravel road, suspension is harsh enough on normal roads

32 GTR's have a yellow warning light for the ABS... It's with the left hand side warning lights on the top left of the 4 lights there. Mine lights up on ignition but goes out very quickly - not sure if that is normal operation or not... Can anyone tell me if the warning light comes on during activation of the ABS?

If the police/qld transport pull you over to check for defects etc one of the things they will look for is number plate visibility at 45 degrees... i got done in my 180sx because the factory rear bar partially obscured the number plate... they weren't too bad about it to me ($60 fine), but i imagine if they pulled you over and looked at those number plate covers they wouldn't take too kindly to them....
