  1. Have a quick search, 0.8mm isnt really necessary unless running higher than stock boost or if your coil packs are on the way out where the 1.1mm gaps werent giving you a good enough spark due to it being blown out by higher boost etc, if you car is relatively stock to mildly modded you shouldnt require 0.8mm. 1.1mm should be fine but the choice is yours Steve
  2. if it was going to turn a different color people wouldnt wear gold jewellery... and it wouldnt be difficult to clean. if you want to go gold on the gear knob, maybe also try the button for the handbrake? spray the areas around the window controls in a gold colored paint?
  3. I think it would depend whether or not the guards that you are lookin at getting were designed for the gtr or the gtt/gt, if they are designed for a gtr then you probably will need a new kit to match them but otherwise you might be able to get away with it if they are designed for the gtt/gt. That said, being that much wider (which should look hawt!) do you know how it looks coming down to the skirts? ie: does it stay wide? or pull in as it gets lower? Steve
  4. thats brilliant man, great job, very good idea with the metal bar too, i would even suggest doing the same for the passenger, there is nothing worse than having a passenger come in and kick the crap out of your nice new setup, and it looks kinda stylish too. I agree with the placement of the tweeters that they should be up higher, i think that you can go wrong putting them on the panel opposite the door mirrors, considering its a common place its probably because it works well. But anyhow nice work, look forward to seeing the tweeters in
  5. i use the Z145A without a problem, i have a 98 model 34, its what my mech recommended my 2c
  6. ive read alot about idle problems with aftermarket bovs, apparently having an aftermarket ecu can solve the idle issues, do you have one or is it just standard comp?
  7. my jaw dropped the moment i saw this car, seriously dropped, its such a beast! hmm, i see what you mean but at the same time, i think that it almost makes it look like the tree or something is creeping up to the car, it works kinda well i think
  8. As a matter of fact Ryco filters are proven to meet and exceed OEM standards...
  9. are u serious dude? how did u miss this? its 3 topics down from yours... (not to mention countless others you can find using search ) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/wh...ic-t229471.html as for the filter Z145A, Ryco brand, will do you fine
  10. i too use motul turbolight 10w40, but wondering if there is any harm/gain to be had from moving to the 5w40 full synthetic?
  11. lolz totally agree with the above
  12. sounds good, thanks for that
  13. been done plenty of times dude, might be a tight squeeze for 3 guages unless you allow it to take up both pockets although i think i have seen it done in the one pocket, you could try using some aluminum sheet and just cut the holes for the guages where you want them to sit, the fix the plate in place where the din pocket screws go
  14. i think you should go as stated above, did it take you 5 months to recieve your mirrors?
  15. ah this is hawt!, glad i saw these, now i know what my white 34 is gona look like or similar to when i get around to some rims, im wanting black gt-c's with silver lip your pics just confirmed my wanting for them!
  16. I think theyll look pretty good man, but if you just bought them, why dont you just put them on and see? or havent you got them yet?
  17. hey Amec, just outta curiosity, i have a 34 gtt and im comin up to my 100k service too, would the cost be the same for my car since it too is an RB25DET? also, is it possible for you to guess how much extra it would cost to get a rocker cover gasket fixed at the same time? hoping to save on a bit of labour doing it then. Ill also make sure i shoot a call ur way too ECC
  18. sure thing, whats the design, pm if you wish
  19. pffft, lmfao, looks hot with the black rims though
  20. pfft no ur not, just take it off, takes 2 minutes to remove the cover and bracket......

    Mini Cars....

hey aj, nice tut man, you are right, we do ours quite differently as a matter of fact, for side on views its very basic to move the wheel after shrinking the car, but for the angled views i deal with those on a case by case basis, i prefer to turn the wheels a bit sometimes depending on the angle because when shrinking a pic of a car thats on an angle the wheels already look thin and it just makes the car look squashed as opposed to being a mini, i also sometimes warp the body a little, its not noticeably warped but makes the car less squashed, when i get time ill show u guys what i mean. Steve
  22. lol, damn any company that tries to sell 4 litres making us all go and buy a second bottle to be able to fill our rides!
  23. Repco sells the 10w 40(semi synth) for $48 for 5 litres, thats what im using atm Thinking of changing to 5w 40 (full synthetic), $68 for 5 litres, although not sure if i want to fork out the extra evrey 5000kms. Im tempted to jump on board this buy for some plugs if possible, wanting some iridiums for the next oil change, not too keen on doing the copper plugs every 5-10000 kms and they seem to have decent prices on them
  24. that is what i said in previous posts above... the question was how do u do it in PS, hence i explained it in PS, that said... its essentially, the process to create this type of art is the same in illustrator or PS or Corel
  25. take your photo int PS and using the pen tool, run lines along the main lines of the car to give it its shape, start off with the parts that make up the shape of the car, ie: the main body, headlights, wheels etc... then move onto smaller details like the insides of the lights, indicators, and any other finer details until your happy with the end product. you dont necessarily have to do them in that order, with practice you'll probably develop your own technique.
