Buy aftermarket OEM style replacements, they will last 50,000 kms and only cost $30 ea

if your running the car really low, use a FD RX7 rear shock, like a bilstein and move the spring seat etc. They are 50mm shorter in extended and compressed length.

Design 1 is a bushed option better for street, it also allows you to stuff around with caster which is a bad thing. Design 2 is a rose jointed and much stronger design, but it doesnt allow for as finite adjustments. Just curious what the prices are for both?

take them out of the car, see if the pillow ball has any play in it.

The ones that whiteline supply on say a supra or soarer are far far worse than stock. Do not use whiteline spreical ends, they wear out in under 3000kms. Find a greased alternative, there are many many universal ones available for about $40 ea to do this job. Almost every car made after 1990 uses a dual greased ball joint. This is why ghosan axed all the nissans because they were outdated.
