  1. My R34 was broken into in an attempt to steal it, at Strathfield. It was parked in the carpark right next to the old Korean coffee shop "Taro" across from the Bus Stop. 10 people witnessed it and only when 1 of them said "Im calling the police" did the guys go away. That same night my friend had his porshe broken into in a secured car park at Strathfield. The cops said that Strathfield had quite a few break ins. BTW this was a year ago. All up from people i know personally, I know of 2 200sx, 1 Mr2 which have been stolen from Strathfield/Burwood area and 3 break in's for stereos etc. I dont go there any more except in the daytime. Kinda hard when all your Korean mates want to meet up there.
  2. Just to clarify, you are saying that is uses a serial cable to plug into your speaker input and not into the USB port which is what the Net MZ uses is that correct ? If it is a net MZ model and you have the appropriate software to go with it consider it sold. If not then thanks for your time.
  3. Is the minidisc a net MZ ? In other words can u record from files situated on your computer ?
  4. Yes you are correct Blitz its a good fun road but driving through it should be done sensibly. As long as the leading car goes at an appropriate pace im sure they wont suffer any casualties.
  5. Well i live just around that area and also do most of my fishing in that area so yeah i know it pretty well. The 8th should be OK so ill most probably turn up. As for meeting up well up to you. For people coming from Hornsby and or Strathfield your best bet would be to meet up at St Ives at the Maccas or something like that since thats were the 2 roads meet up.
  6. I ummmm didnt do anything to the person  . I merely pointed out that he should not mess with other peoples possesions.
  7. They were trying to steal the car but i guess couldnt see that i have immobolisers. And yes i meant Mac Centre. Its usually OK as long as you dont park in the cinema level there at night. I really am not too bothered by all my experiences, I still love my car. I put up with it because I understand that its a risk you take when you drive a car worth stealing or vandalising. Visually my car has a full cwest kit with no spoiler so its only a little bit more different than say ecls car. Whoops ECL i forgot to measure my side skirts for you will do it tonight.
  8. Actually the road through Akuna bay via the marina called (Liberator General San Martin Rd) is not the best. I drive that section nearly once a week for fun with friends. However the road to West Head is an awesome drive. Unfortunately that section is now closed off at sunset. If you really wanted to go through Akuna Bay you would need someone who knows that road and knows when to slow down when there are potholes. MOST of it is fine except the section just before the marina if you are heading east. It is a good twisty road though. Your best bet is just to skip the Akuna Bay section and just go vai McCarrs Creek rd and then through Bayview to Newport then palm beach. The BEST section of that whole area is coming back from Bayview through Mc Carrs Creek rd. Once you pass the intersection of McCarrs Creek rd and West Head Rd, the road is all 2nd, 3rd gear uphill tight bends. Hope that helps guys.
  9. Here are my experiences. Its the 35th post. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...00&page=2&pp=25 I have a black R34. I am quite wary now when I go out. I also just bought a 89 Camry to drive around for normal things. These things never happened with my R32.
  10. Hey thats what ive done until i go and get them replaced. It looks funny though, bits of string holding the tray from scraping on the road.
  11. I have a r34GT as well, that i use as a daily driver. About a year ago i had a coil failure but still drove around about 2 months b4 it got too bad and had to be replaced.
  12. HAHAHAHA I thought i was the only one that had lost mine. Mine came of as well with a huge bang.
  13. OK mate well since u guys are leaving at 10;15 or so i guess i can be there around 10;30pm. Ill meet u boys at those lights cnr mona vale at Terrey Hills in front of that Fruit Shop if i end up coming.
  14. SW20-GT hmm do u guy go down pacific hwy then turn right onto mona vale RD to go to palm beach ? If so i might join u on Mona Vale rd as i live in that area.
  15. I had a series 2 R33 GTST, which was stolen a few years ago. Instead of buying the same car i bought a R34GT. I know the GTST is definately quicker but i wouldnt say that much quicker. It really depends on what u want. Personally im getting a bit older and i dont need the speed factor. Also IMHO the R34 looks nicer of the 2. In terms of running costs I only need to have a service every 10000 instead of 5000kms. Tires and brakes are not replaced as often. Fuel is about 3/4 of what i used to spend. Insurance is the same though. Figure out what is important to you. If u enjoy speed then the R33 GTST is for you. BTW there are 2 people who have turbo charged their R34 GT, Dan666 and HKS34V ask them how much it costs. Im pretty sure they were quite happy with their results.
  16. Well mine is lightly modded. Manual Black - 98GT with 85Kms (ive had it for 2 years) Exterior: Original Full Cwest Body Kit - bought from Powerplay Imports with receipts. Also have taken off the rear spoiler and had the boot lid repainted to cover the spoiler holes (still have the spoiler though). 17 Enkeis Wheels dont know the model number. Performance: 2.5 Full Exhaust - not too loud. Aftermarket Air Filter SAFC - removed but will come with car (took it out cause this car is my daily and I wanted to keep it as stock performance wise as possible also less hassle from the police). Interior: Sony Double Din Headset. ALL SERVICING and maintenance has been handled by powerplay imports, whom i trust quite implicitly. It HAS 12Months rego. Car wont be on the market till about late Feb/March but I will ask $28K for it when I put it on the market. Hey ECL - How was the cruise ? Well after I sell both my 32(being sold next week) and 34 next month, i really dont know what I will buy next. Ive decided I just want 1 car not 2. Part of me wants a 33GTR but part of me is thinking im getting too old and perhaps i should buy some sort of Euro car like a beemer. I really dont know at this stage. Hey those new wheels look really good mate.
  17. hey Dragzz, My R34GT is insured with Just Cars for 28k. BTW It will be for sale in March or so.
  18. Parked at Mac Westfields, but i NEVER park there after 5 and never on the top cinema level carpark. I know plenty of people who have had break ins there but usually only at night whilst they are watching a movie. Parked at Parramatta but only in front of the Fitness First. Places I've had my car broken into, keyed: Strathfield station in front of 20people person breaking into the car pissed off when a bystander said he was going to call the police. Burwood: Westfields, broken into. City: Pitt St, keyed. Brighton Le Sands: coles, keyed again I stopped worrying too much, if someone wants to be an ass they will be an ass. Anyway thats what insurance is for.
  19. Well, i know powerplay have some sort of conversion kit.
  20. Spotted Thurs 7pm nice black R32 on Vic Rd. West Ryde. Gave a wave from my 34.
  21. What a silly statement ! By your reckoning a person who drives a GTR must drive it fast else he is a poser. Who cares about traffic laws or the fact that you share the road with others or the fact that some of us dont desire to drive a car fast.
  22. Powerplay - Alistair and Joanne are always honest and actually seem to give a damn.
  23. Hehe i got buff on the weekend by trying to buff the scratch out but it wouldnt go. Shonen where did u get your panels done ? 500 for 2 panels is pretty good, ive only got 1 panel to do and ive been quoted 450 or so. Thanks in advance.
  24. Well no point getting angry over something I have no control over. I mean no point really, its not like I'll ever catch the lowlife and it wont fix my problem anyway. Hmm well the scratch is pretty deep but I've had some good reports about ChipsAway before so it wont hurt to see what their quote is. Guess I dont think I can justify a few grand for something so small. Either way ill have a before and after shot of any work done and the cost of the whole operation. Itll be nice for people to have a reference as to what options they have if their car gets damaged by *ucking scum (hehe theres your swearing). Anyway Guys ill keep you posted.
  25. Oh well bound to happen sooner or later. My R34 got keyed last night, funny thing was it was out of my sight for only about 5 mins whilst I was getting some Ribena from a Coles. Hehe most expensive Ribena ever. For those who want to know it was the coles near Brighton Le Sands. Funny how these things never happen at any coles ive been to in the Nth Shore. Its surprising how such a small thing that at most took 5 seconds will probably cost me the same amount as working for 2-3 days. Hehe well thats a total of 2 break-ins and 1 time keyed, thats got to be a record of some kind right. Anyways there doesnt seem to be much on the forums about what people have done to fix deep scratches on their cars without taking it to a spray painter, so I've just called ChipsAway and see if they are any good. Ill keep you guys posted to see if this company is any good and also how much it will cost me.
