  1. hey mate i had a similar problem before i upgraded my turbo. the idle was rougher than it should have been and the car would stall if i took to long to shift gears. when i got the car back there were two problems that it could have been. i needed a new oxygen sensor(could that be your problem?) and my manifold had four broken studs that needed replacing and redrilling. gaskets were replaced also. sorry i cant give you a definite answer id only be guessing, but i hope that helps you out.

  5. hey mate i just recently got a garret gt30 stuck on my rb25. ive got all the usuall mods, fuel systems upgraded, n1 exhaust, FMIC ,cams, power fc, avc-r boost controller ect. im pretty happy with the results, if you want to see the dyno read out to try and decide what you want let me know.

  7. its really bad, im sick of getting pulled over by cops for no reason, every time i shite myself thinking that they are going to defect me. i got pulled over 3 times and tailed twice in one night.
  8. well thats a good thing i probably wouldnt want anything over 400kw. so il keep the internal by the sounds of it. i havnt heard much about this day on the weekend.... might be interested. ive got friday and sat off work, which gives me a bit of free time

  10. yeah im still thinking about my next step, but my plans were for an aftermarket exhaust manifold and plenum, aftermarket crank and pistons and new valve springs ect. after these mods i would feel more inclind to increse boost. my gt30 is internally gated for now, i opted for that as i didnt have the extra 1000 at the time for the external, but that will have to be changed also. i havent considered wmi as yet, ive got the .82 housing too, sounds the same as yours. ive got pics on my phone of the turbo, hopefully get them onto the computer soon. its low mounted, but is obviously not stock, which makes me very paranoid.
  11. yeah im pretty happy with my gt30r, simon at morpowa said it was more responsive than the gt35 which i was thinking about gettn, ive only had it back a couple of weeks. ive limited the power to 280rwkw tune coz ive still got stock internals. once all that is sorted like you said im hoping for around 340rwkw
  12. im not a fan of the stock rb25 turbo being high flowed. i was runing around 14psi and mine shat itself mostly because of wear and tear. i got a gt30 stuck on, my dyno read out was 280.8rwkw and its no so agressive as the stock high flowed turbo, but created heaps more power. has any one else had the same kind of experiance?

  14. I was thinking about buying some zeal coilovers. if anyone has zeal coilovers(function x's) i was just wondering how useful is the 6 way damper adjustment on it
  15. yeah i paid 19 000 for my r33 gts-s series 1. just car insured me for 12 900. my mods alone would be worth 30g's new. i got a quote for a pretty much standard series 2 1997 and they were going to insure me for 17 200. i guess i will have to be extra carefull not to write it off
  16. yeah i love the look and the performance of the 32 gtr, it seems like its 15-20years ahead of time, but it seems to hard to find one that hasnt had the absolute crap thrashed out of it. im sure there may be some decent ones out there. all the best with the 32 search. i would swap my car for a decent 32 gtr any day.
  17. yes there is alot of variables with different engines and how they have been treated, tuned ect. 270rwkw im guna keep it at i reckon. but about the turbo i find it hard to find any info on the hks gt30r. morpowa said that it was obviously garret running gear in the turbo, but hks flow it differently and lable it as a hks item. i would really like to hear from someone with a hks gt30r
  18. i have the same problem, the gtr is superior in every way to the gst-s rb25. i want a gtr, so to kill that urge ive just got a hks gt30r stuck on my gts-t r33. apparently they pulled over 300rwkw with mine, but il be limiting that to 270-280. obviously the complete fuel system is upgraded ect.
  19. yeah 280rwkw is what i was thinking too. im picking it up tomorrow, just had a hks gt30r stuck on it. but yeah to strengthn my engine the way i want will cost me 8-9grand. That will deffinatly be the next mod i do tho, sooner rather than later is the key or i reckon i may be back to the workshop
  20. I've been building my r33 up for some time now. im pushing 300+rwkw now and im starting to worry about the reilabilty. what are peoples experiances. what power figure seems to start killing an rb25 with stock internals?
