you shouldnt even need an engineers certificate... the engine is smaller than the original. its also cleaner and quieter... just get a blue slip done to have the engine number changed. too easy, good choice of engine! cheers Linton

i reckon dont waste your time with a 2510. the effort required to change the turbos doesnt justify the little bit of extra savings for a 2530. before you go changing turbo make sure you've got all your other bases covered. you could get an exhaust manifold, dumppipe, cams, other things like that. cheers Linton

a mates 180 only has one cannon on the back, its ridiculously loud. he had to get a sound test done to clear a defect. we packed steel wool around the silencer and squashed the intake on the silencer. got 91db, dude knocked it back to 89 for the effort. was quiet as though, sounded like shit.

is there a website or something where i can have a looksie at some specs and sizes on the RE55s??

dont get the 400r, it looks good sure, when its by itself, but when you take it on a cruise or something and there are other cars there with the same kit, its just looks tacky. cheers Linton

i got some r33 ser 2 coils i got when i thought mine were playing up, turns out it wasnt the coils, have been checked out by an auto leccy before i bought them, then i checked them against mine, coils are in excellent condition. $150 + postage. if you want them. cheers Linton

dont do it mate, just get a c/f bonnet or a fibreglass and paint it black. the mate i mentioned earlier, is selling his car, he has a black f/g bonnet, his stock bonnet is also black, as i mentioned. he had someone really interested in it but didnt want the bonnet and wanted the standard bonnet, then he told him the standard bonnet was black. not sure if the dude is gonna buy it or not, but he seems to have taken a step back. just some food for thought.

no they dont fit. they can be modified to fit, but that involves welding an eye to the bottom of the shock, which isnt a very good idea. look around, there are plenty of people with aftermarket suspension for your model. cheers Linton

i say do it all at once. its easier. a proper build will not need much engine run in time, 1000kms will be well and trully run in. a proper tuner will be able to set the pfc up to a safe tune without even checking it. slight road tune or dyno tune will be able to get it to a safe level while running in. then at 1000kms you can get it properly dyno tuned for the boost of your choice. cheers Linton.

that sounds more like the RTA examiner that did your car has done others like yours and the RTA is a bit wary of him... i may be wrong but thats what it sounds like. if this is the case, someone will come to your house, check over your car for defects. they check others that the examiner has done and iff a few are found to have defects, they go to the examiner and find out whats goin on...the old "that wasnt on there when i checked it" excuse doesnt work very well in this circumstance and the examiner will lose his inspectors ticket and cop a fine, the business will also cop a fine. if this is the case, maybe you should have bought one of my boxes rather than finding a dodgy mechanic... hope this is not the case. cheers Linton
