Dean, I would be very careful in any dealings with WSID due to what has happened to SAU NSW at its last private drag day. Is there a contract or written agreement with WSID? What happens if veryone turns up and thn it rains: (a) before racing starts and before track is prepped; (b) before racing starts and after track is prepped; © after racing starts. I am not personally worried about it, just don't want to see the club holding the event to be in a similar situation that SAU NSW was in whereby the WSID management were going to keepa substantial amount of money which meant that each racer would lose about half their money.

or just swap the battery over for a charged one to start the car. Trickle charge the other overnight via a battery charger.

Those cars you see using space savers on the front while drag racing are more than likely using front runners (drag tyres), not the actual space saver tyre.

From the reports on the accident, no one was wearing their seat belts and the child was thrown from the car. Car was also overtaking at the time.

Strictly speaking 275/40/17 tyre will have an diameter of 651.8mm (plus tread) A 255/50/16 tyre will have a diameter of 661.4mm

I live a few minutes from there. Nothing I can say will change what happened. I just hope that people can learn from others mistakes. RIP
