  1. Dont forget that in a road car the catch can cannot vent into atmosphere, hence no filter at the top.
  2. upgraded oil pump head mods for oil return to the sump I also think that you should get bigger cams with the 2835's
  3. I would make sure you confirm if it is a stock pump. If it is, you better keep the revs reasonable.
  4. We tapped and threaded a large 90° brass elbow intothe back of my RB26 head and then fitted braided hose down to a -12 fitting on the RHS of the sump, just below the dipstick hole.
  5. Not all dyno's are the same.... But I won't say no to an R35.
  6. Nick, who did you place your R35 order through? I w as told that here is a one year waiting list in Japan. That would translate to well over a year here, if not two years.
  7. My bet is that the R35's will be available via grey importing before Nissan Australia imports any.
  8. Unfortunately there is a lot of double standards when it comes to the law - ADR, EPA, etc. Prime example is noise pollution. Noise is noise and should apply to all types of vehicles and parts thereof. Cars, bikes, and trucks all have different noise pollution levels and are not on the same restrictions. Even within each class of vehicle there are differring categories. Futhermore, noise pollution from pods does not equal noise pollution from exhausts. Many of the defects are issued at the police officers discretion, so what saliya said is very applicable. Don't be a dickhead and you might not cop a dickhead attitude in return - and a whole lot of fines/defects.
  9. Great stuff, Mark. Well done and all the best for that record time. + 1 for videos
  10. I know that there is a company in Japan that makes the original ones, but they aren't cheap. Someone local should make a batch of them and sell them to all those rebuilding RB26's...
  11. I think it was Desynz Motosports. Good luck getting anything off them though. I don't even think they answer calls. lol
  12. Yes, the Ikeya is no good with the dog boxes. The Stillway shifter works by locking out the gear that you shift up from. ie, 1st to 2nd cant go back into 1st; 2nd to 3rd, cant go back into 2nd; etc etc. This allows you to not miss shifts as you go up through the gears and effectively becomes a 'sequential' H-pattern box. When you want to go back down though the gears, you can do so up lifting the lock ring that is on the Stillway shifter and then engage the lower gears. It is mainly aimed at drag racing so that you don't shift into, say, fifth gear when doing the 2nd to 3rd shift.
  13. Stillway in Japan make a gear shifter that locks out 1st and might be applicable in this case.
  14. Need a front diff axle - the one that goes through the engine sump and connects the two drive shafts to the diff.
  15. This is next Friday. Best of luck.
  16. I finished in the state top 50 in legal studies in high school.
  17. No Richard, the docks are fine.
  18. The Dent Man in Castle Hill does great work. But I know his phone is already flooded.
  19. The EVO 9 had the insurance expire two weeks ago. The insurance company would not renew it this week because of the forecast storms. The other cars are normally stored inside but was working on two customer cars so had the others parked uncovered but secured. The Pajero (my sister's car) was about to be registered and insured this week. R33 GTR was under a carport but the hail was coming down sideways and it got hammered. R32 GTR got hammered as it was outside. All in all, 10 cars got smashed. What was worse than all of this was he was driving the EVO with his baby daughter in the back. Hail cracked the rear glass and he just managed to get her out before a tennis-ball sized hail stone went through the rear window and smashed through the rear parcel shelf. Very lucky little girl.
  20. Blacktown got nailed. Every single car at my cousin's workshop got hammered...'07 BMW 320, '07 Evo 9, '05 Pajero, '04 Forester show car, R33 GTR etc etc. Only the beemer had current insurance. I'm off to inspect the damage...
  21. LOL I will be going to Summernats, hopefully with the Skyline entered. The place we stayed a last year was great. New 2/3 bed apartment/hotel rooms 10 mins from EPIC. Looks like plenty are going...SAU meet up?
  22. I should be there tomorrow
  23. woah...Not an easy decision to make, Pauly. But maximum respect for it and what you guys have achieved with this car. $65K is a reasonable price for such a consistent and well packaged car with plenty in reserve for better times.
