You could drive it around normally. However, it will be whiney, noisey and clunky to drive as it is a dog box with straight cut gears. You will also have to change gears more agressively as they tend to need to be smacked in with more force than a normal box. Too slow a change will result in crunching as the gears don't have the softer meshing like helicals have. The difference is akin to upgrading from a stock spring clutch to a multi-plate solid clutch.
Enjoy
PS, rev matching helps
Bad luck Wil. On the positive side, it could have been worse mate. I would check with your insurer, but if your car is registered (or primarily used) for work purposes, then you could have the costs of a hire car reimbursed.
I agree, Nick.
I do recall years ago at the old Eastern Creek drags there was a guy who had a burgundy (Aus-spec?) GTR who ran 11.4's. He claimed that they were with stock turbos. I didn't believe him. Up until now, I don't think anyone else has claimed anything close to that on stockers. I would suggest that they would probably be highflowed turbos as standard GTR turbos just do not make 290rwkw.
The GTR will always be KING. Unfortunately, it wasn't so on this particular day as a few of the big HP cars were not able to make it. That is not to detract from what appears to be quite a successful day. Well done to everyone involved.
Yes, well done to NFS13B, running a 9.8@134.
Well done to Shane on his 9 sec grandpa-spec pass
How did the GTR's go?
It was also unfortunate to hear that BLODIS RX3 had a major crash, as well as Micks Motorsport's car.
Adrian, SFWD win?? hahaha
Try Sean Morris in California, USA - I am sure he would have one or two RB26 blocks around that could be used to make these gaskets.

I have one pair of R33 Skyline and one pair of Z32 300Zx wheels (16 x 7.5 +45) that I do not need. Perfect for drift or drag days.
$60 per pair.
Charlie.
Unfortunately, I copped the heat for it. Although, I wouldn't mind being frisked by ay least one of the police women.
Was a great night and should be done more often.
