  4. can get customs superlights for like $260 a rim i was told. dude had em on his mr30 at mallala
  5. cant change lock with tie rods. need 2 either shortern the steering knuckle or stuff around with the steering arms. rack n pinion is easier cos can space of the rack ends. ive got s13 hubs/coils in my dr no dramas. never drove it with stock struts so unsure of lock changes?

  9. if using it 2 learn how 2 drift, dr would harder 2 find parts if stack it. same for hr31's. shit load of aus r31 four door parts around. but also shit load of em on track already lol
  10. dont think it matters man, as long as it can drain back to the sump and is above the oil level? sorry didnt see urs, posted at same time chump
  11. both the fittings i made up just sat flush with the sump. mates car is still running yr or so on so must work. unsure how the factory sumps r set up...
  12. hope that helps in some way. i also welded a hose tail to a mates sump for his set up, but this was fair bit easier to do as both engines were still in the car.
  13. yep they'll fit. all the l6's have the same flange pattern (l20a l20et l24 l26 & l28). only thing with turbo'in the l24 is ecu options. i just used stock everything with vlt injectors and leaned out the afm. was shits n giggles set up cos had everything bar the zorst mani but mates set up is still goin fine yr or so on. rb30 injectors, rb20 turbo tapped down fuel reg and vl fuel pump. get bout 300ks to a tank tho lol. can go l20et or l28et ecu, loom, dizzy and injectors set up if can find them all. lot of l28et stuff on ebay motors. or aftermarket options but can get fair pricey there probaby just a nice na set up would b the go, specially if a daily. the autos in them r not the best tho. very sluggish. manual is much nicer. but if keeping the auto maybe look at shift kit etc? i no stuff all about autos.
  14. i just drilled into my sump and used a fitting off the ac compressor as a hose tail. can get a pic later. was on l24et set up ive got in the shed still
  15. need help wiring up the afm plug. as the previous owner has wired up a r32 type afm which doesnt work. have the proper afm now but plugs r different. so using a rb30 plug need to know what wires go where. on the engine loom have: black wire with grey spots white wire with grey spots white wire inside grey sleeve black wire also inside grey sleeve. just need to know where they go on the afm pins A, B, C, D, E, F cheers...

  18. quick q. whats the thing behind the airbox? and its purpose? looks like has diaphram at the back with 2 solenoids on top. VCM valve i think its called? found 1 in the boot of the dr when i got it cheers...

  20. need some help wiring up my rb20 into my dr30. using a l series alternator, ive got it all wired up apart from the ground (-) wire. just the single little spade type plug that goes on the back of the alternator. not sure which 1 it is on the fj20 loom. possible yellow wire on its own all i can see being a possibility. can some 1 shed some light on the subject? or take a pic of their alternator wiring would b ace cheers...
  21. thanks mate. So build date is 09/1983? na not for the 2nd one. bit of a weird car, had a l24e in it with mr30 plates. all the mounts etc look factory 2. cnt see any signs of cut and weld job around the chassis number either. off 2 sims metal soon anyway lol...
