I have the JJR split dump on mine, great little piece of equipment. Only thing is the wastegate by pass pipe sits nearly on the water cooling line to the turbo due to it bending back toward the block where as the other travels directly down the back of the main pipe- not a biggie but something to consider. BP ultimate or Mobil 8000 only, mine runs like a hairy dog on anything else. Never run normal or 95 without octane booster or you may find funny things begin to affect motor integrity due to lean out thus higher temps

Change your plates and if your really keen respray the car a diff colour too. An intended affect is to modify driving behaviour of the recipient of such a 'black flagging' and make him/her consider before any erratic driving takes place. Just make sure that your attitude when pulled over is the right one. Be polite and courteous and forthcoming with all requested info when asked. Make a point of it. Any negative comments on police databases will stick around forever and may colour any officers manner when they pull you over next time, so just be polite. Sooner or later they will leave you alone if enough cops have a favourable encounter with you and tag you as co-operative and polite. Remember there is a reason they exist and the number of people who actually give them respect is probably very low, so start a precident. who knows they might just get the hint that because we drive great looking cars that are usually pretty fast we are not all w*nkers/w*nketts & no longer worth the effort to harass my 2c

By my understanding CF & Fiberglass bonnets are illegal unless they are ADR approved, which involves crumple zones to be present in regard to CF due to bonnet shearing bolts off in an impact & decapitating the driver/passenger and Fiberglass which alters the frontal rigidity in the case of an accident.(maybe wrong but don't think so) The only way to know for sure is to ring Qld Transport and speak to modifications officer who will be more than happy to answer your questions

Thanks for coming along to our very 1st SAU QLD drag day. That is one beautiful ride you got there and hope you had fun All in all it was a fantastic day at the bank. Coolish temps due to being overcast were a godsend and everyone was looking like they were enjoying themselves. Oil is like PS3 games, every1 has a favourite, How I chose was to read as much as I could from testers, and looked at what race teams in Japan were using too. As long as the oil is fully synthetic, you should be ok. Just for the record I use Motul 8100 5W 40 Live on Gold Coast, temp gets to nearly 40 in summer and 0 in winter as I live in a valley. Its good stuff, bit pricey but worth it. Just make sure Oil & Filter are changed every 5000k's-thats the true secret

Any who wish to stay on for TNT after we finish are welcome to at no extra expense. The time issue is this; We originally hired a 3hr window due to the large interest showed at the enquiry stage to members about numbers. QR set a minimum number of vehicles at 30 for a 2hr slot at a preset track hire rate, addition cost for extra hour/s above initial booking. We did the math-carried the 5- and worked out an extra 10 cars would cover the next hr and not take time out of peoples runs on the strip from 30 into the 2hrs which was roughly 4 runs each. When the paid numbers remained so far below the required target we nearly had to cancel the event. It is with the true kindness that QR have displayed by allowing us to run without 30 cars in the first place that has enabled the Event to continue, however, we were unable to do an extra hour at the rates we have charged. So, this comes as a request from me to 'you all' to allow us a 'bit of grace' with the changes we have had to make to get the event off the table & you into your cars to post some times, rather than cancel it altogether. Old radar guns- law had a 10% leaniency to recorded speed & due to speedo variation of vehicles New guns are Lidar, use light spectrum analysis to detect speed and have a high degree of accuracy, error margin is less than 5%, 3% I think The only way around is as previously stated, A Judge in good mood or possibility of the charge becoming a civil matter in which no points are lost but fine increases. Not sure whether this law has been amended, but worth ago-maybe? In any case speak to a lawyer unless someone on here is a Judge/Lawyer/Police Prosecutor I would still just pay the fine & take it on the chin as my f*kup as p*ss*ng on the cops will get you nothin but grief-sorry to be blunt
