  1. last time i heard that it was because a welsh plug sprung a leak and lost most of the water....cost me a whole engine
  2. I'm taking it that you used Fc edit right? If so under setup what "Fc-box" do you select for it to recognize Fc Hako? Also Paul i could of sworn that there was a list of widebands that were compatible with Fc edit/datalogit in the faq but i had a look again and didnt see anything... or it was probably somewhere else i read it but.. Does it matter the brand of the wideband or will any one be compatible with Fc hako once it has a 5V output? Btw...nice work guys
  3. Anything new on this guys??? I'm particularly interested in its compatibility with Fc edit/datalogit .....any hicups???
  4. when u are connecting the battery does it give a huge spark when u touch the terminal??? if so could be a direct short somewhere
  5. Geeze u guys do like if 95 is kerosene or some shit.... Where i'm from 95 premium is our best brew and we run all skylines on that with no probs...just keeping the boost down on hot days
  6. The pfc supports BNR32, BCNR33, Power Intake, Rb25 and VG30....if u use the Nismo afms what setting do you use???
  7. Priceless!!!!
  8. Forgot to mention i will be running water/meth injection as well
  9. I checked out a mines dump pipe for a 26 that was lying around and noticed the insides were thick with black soot /carbon build up which to me seems more than usual... This engine did come thru the importers and was stock except for a pfc and the O2 sensors disconnected Is this proof of one of those rich ass tunes again????
  10. Hey guys just wanted to know if it makes sense installing a single egt probe immediately after the dump pipe on the rear turbo of the 26 although i already have a wide band sensor/gauge permanently installed in the front pipe after the two turbos meet. Is it necessary to monitor egts even though i can monitor my afrs??? are there any advantages of having them both??? Thanks
  11. I measured up the 33 dump to 2 3/8" for sure...I believe the 32 is 1/4" smaller, maybe 1/8" i measured it also but i cant remember I'm sure someone has a 32 and 34 dump lying around they can measure up for us to confirm and set this straight once an for all 32 on the L and 33 on the R .....Notice the O2 sensors
  12. I'll be more than happy to show u guys around if u come down here.....its really nice and i'm sure we can even find time for quick tune too I remember Hitman was down here a while back and tuned my mates 13b....best that car ever worked!!!
  13. Yeh i know the difference.....Definitely 95 ron and i'm as far as u can go south on the Caribbean chain We got some fast shit here too....stuff from Trial, Signal etc and some good local projects too....but they dont seem to last very long
  14. Nah....not in the US Our 95 is shit....although running it with the base pfc map at 11psi on the 26 still not produce more than 25-30 knock...Strange!?!
  15. Ok so most likely its an air temp sensor.... Should have seen me handle this thing! didnt even want to unplug it either!
  16. Dude...u dont need such coarse paper!!!! U are just giving your self extra work by creating scratches with the 400 and then trying to clean it up moving up in grades....after a few polishes that way u might not even have any lens remain! 2000 alone is more than enough and u must use it wet
  17. Had a look the other day at one of our "better" tuners on a stock turboed Rb26, 1bar and pfc From the word go ie. low rpm coming into boost he set afrs to 10.8 to 10.9 all the to limiter...when asked why he said it makes more torque that way Is it that he is just playing it safe or is he just plain lazy to tweak the timing from the off to on boost transition, from which i understand is a little tricky to get perfect in that area??? At the end of the day it made 360rwhp(dynojet), knock was no higher than 20 and this is on 95 ron Guilt toy mentioned richen it up on top because of the shit fuel.....u guys would not have a problem as u run 98 but we here with our best being 95 i think the only other way to add some knock resistance it to richen it up a bit....we have an excuse....still not sure about the japs I see if a can get the tune for u guys to have a look
  18. Oh yeh.....and another thing now..... These million and one dyno sheets here......Where are the afr readings taken from??? before the cat or in the tail pipe??? I'm guessing different shops have different methods right???
  19. With a name like Toshi I'm guessing you are a Jap tuner??? I for one dont mind running my car from 12.0 coming into boost and dropping gradually to 11.0 say from about 6000 up(ie. before the cat).....That way fuel consumption would not be that bad and the extra fuel will be there to protect the engine higher up in the rev range Is there some thing i am not getting????..... Is there sooo much power to be gained by leaning out the afr from 11.0 to 12.0 on pump??? or is it that skyline owners are so cheap they cant afford to keep on filling up the juice so they go complaining to their tuners that their fuel consumption has gone out the window after he has raised the boost a couple of psi and retuned the ecu so now its up to him to get more power out of the car BUT maintain its factory consumption rate??? Again i know which way i'd rather have it.....
  20. Someone did mention that it could be airbag sensor.... but i want to be sure because placement would be critical Its on a C35 Laurel
  21. Can anyone tell me what this unit is for??? It original position is on the front of the lower radiator panel but i need to move it as my intercooler is now in the way Its not in a gtr btw
  22. Meguiars now has this kit minus the drill of course Although to get best results u NEED to get some wet 2000 grit paper and give the light a rub first....u will actually see all the yellow/brown shit running off with the water then u use the buffing pad and polish as recommended The wet sand produces a much better finish and it last longer than if u use just the polish The Mothers kit has the rubbing pads included...dont know why the hell meguiars didn't include it too
  23. The Japs know what they are doing.....i mean they made the shit to start with. There must be engine failures of course but check out how many skylines get shipped worldwide some stock some with all kinds of goodies and they are still mostly in good working order for us to trash Have u ever experimented with one of these rich ass tunes Anthony? Would be interesting to have an idea as to how much timing can be added with running say 10.5 as compared to 12.0 Dynos here suck....no afr readout on the graph
  24. I remember reading some sort of "known" problem that exist with the V44 on skylines but i believe it was on 34s only or might just be a simple input/output setting Download the pdf on their site and have a look
  25. Ahhhhh....That make sense but i've also seen a few pfc with full tunes ie including low load areas, with rich as high load mapping
