  3. agreed mate, you are going to have to shop around for blueslip.. I had to transfer my rego from WA to NSW not long ago, went to a couple of blue slip shops and get quoted ridiculous prices.. this is after doing the straight forward stuff myself like plumback BOV, std exhaust, car height.. was picked up on stuff like heater core.. i feel that there is a lot of grey areas needs to be covered in the handbook.. basically if they want to get you done, they can.. best of luck..

  5. As per april apparently you cant even have well secured pod without permit youve got 2 option 1. kyp had it approx one month ago when I call for the same exact reason should cost 80-100 2. apply for a minor mod permit, cost u 25-30 but the catch is gotta wait 2-3 weeks but hey from then on your pod filter is legal hope that helps
  6. So I went to one of the approved mechanics on friday without any changes.. and guess what they passed it all except for the pod filter, they offered to pass me if I come back with stock airbox in the same day.. and consequently passed me the next day after I installed stock airbox (kudos to voncina). they are really nice, as long as you rock up with something that isnt illegal and not acting like a prick, they would actually listen to your argument and decide on that, really helpful people imo.. just a heads up, apparently new rule on pods so called "minor" mods, not matter how minor you have to have a permit as per april 2012.. from now on I will keep my stock exhaust and suspension.. cheers for all the help and reply guys..
  7. True, I've seen those threads.. But really doubt different pits have different opinion, would they, since they have the same database?
  8. thanks for the reply guys.. that is my plan, to just get it to the approved inspection station.. any skyline's friendly station that you guys may know? As for mitch, PM sent.. Check ur inbox please..
  9. So I went to the pit last friday.. Change everything back to stock, stock exhaust, stock suspension, stock everything basically.. But u know them, they can always find something, so heres what I get done for.. 1. Well secured Pod Filter I heard that this is a grey area in the pits.. Some inspector would say yes and some wouldnt.. 2. Steering pulling to the left WA suspension checked this when I told them its pulling to the left before wheel alignment and they say thats normal 3. Not having a heater that acts as a demister I bypassed my heater core since its leaking.. but for all I know you'd have a mist on your windscreen when the air inside is hotter than the air outside, ie. winter nights or rainy days, Ive checked this in my other car too and it is blowing cold air to remove mist (not hot air).. Ive check the document on DOT website and it says modifications on airconditioning system falls into "mods that dont require an approval" I was just wondering what do people do in situations like this? cause I feel like they're just making stuff up.. I mean, considering the girl who has her van inspected before me, were asked to drive the inspector back to paperwork area (other side of pit, welshpool) and that was the "road test" where as with mine "road test" involved 5 min drive outside the DOT complex plus picking up another fellow inspector and another 10 minutes drive.. And no! I cant sit in the car while they're driving, which is probably because I havent got my hot pants on nor my boobs are hanging out my top! Any help or pointer would be much appreciated.. Cheers bly
  10. Its been a while and I still have no luck in finding a stock exhaust not even by buying.. Can someone help me or point me out to who might have it? Also I will always have Stock RB25 BOV Stock R34 GTT suspension (lowered springs though ie. too low for stock rims) cheers bly

  12. As quoted from bom Forecast for Tuesday Showers, heavy at times with the risk of a squally thunderstorm and small hail until evening. Cold, fresh and gusty W/SW winds. Precis: Showers, storm and hail risk. City: Min 7 Max 16 Mandurah: Min 11 Max 16 I remember how last time it was predicted to be small hail and ended up being in a size of a golf ball..
  13. Hei mate.. try ceva.. railline logistics.. let us know how it goes.. im betting it will be cheaper than 1260...
  14. Hi, to all of skylines guru out there.. Kudos.. To begin with, my cooling system condition is pretty bad.. sendiments, gunks are everywhere in the walls of the rad hoses. But even so, I have no overheating problem whatsoever, but my radiator is leaking, hence losing coolant, noticed it and decided to get a new radiator instead of fixing it. anyway, so Im planning to flush my cooloing system.. I am changing all my cooling system parts, thermo, radiator, hoses.. But, what does the radiator place exactly do when they reverse flush a cooling system? is it worth it for $99? I was planning to 1. take of the thermostat 2.put the housing back, use the garden hose gun connect it to the bottom hose and start pumping through water until it goes clear.. Probably not going to take the drainage plug out since it really is a bitch to take out.. is it good enough though? I bet they will have a fancy gun that will connect perfectly to the hoses or somehting, but is the pressure that they are using are far higher than a garden hose pressure? do they use special chemical, coolant, distilled water, instead of tap water? so yeah is it worth it? any opinion would be much appreciated.. Thanks
  15. i believe unless ur car tuned for it, there is no use increasing ur octane number.. the only benefit from filling up 98ron to 95(skyline recommeded gtt) is that they are more dense talking about bp here specifically, they claim their 98 is denser which basically means u get more fuel when u pump.. remember good old yr 12 physics density = mass/volume.. so adding those pills is practically doing nothing in this sense.. might as well eat ur money or better spend it on some other pills..
  16. dimension and weight of the bonnet pls? postage is a bitch so i gotta check it out first..
  17. yeah what brand..? any discount if u sell take both arms (fronts and rear)
  18. Hei, Ive fitted my exhaust last week.. apparently theres no modification needed for the diff-cannon pipe, the mounting points are exactly the same, flushed in.. only the mid pipe is a bit longer (like what wisey says).. but in my case, the new exhaust has no mid muffler, so I think, if theres a mid muffler, it would be a different case.. anyway I thought ill post it up as a heads up for ppl who want to fit GTR exhaust to their GT-t.. cheers bly
