  1. id rather have bird flu or blowtorch my nipples than buy an eboost again, not specifically that mine broke within a week of installing it or that turbosmarts customer care when it came time for a warranty was long and rude...so long in fact i sold my car before i recieved it back and they forgot my wiring loom. im going to go take a valium now
  2. where did matt black paint jobs originate from? ive been in the euro car scene for a while now and have come across plenty of exotics doing it oh and the lamborghini reventon is the first production car to come out with a matt paint finish. drift cars perhaps?
  3. lookz like 'are you free for tonight' anywayz i used to own [sPOOL] on my 200sx, sold it to another bloke who i asume would have kept them
  4. i see, im glad to see shelf life is better than what i expected so i guess im being paranoid about the whole 2-4week thing lolz. i will stick to 98oct but unfortunately my car wasnt tuned for 98, it actually has one of those impul remap ecu's which is tuned for japanese fuel. Im getting a power fc tune asap but am struggling to choose a workshop :-(
  5. hey mate, im running these in my car atm. as far a a review, they provide great handling on the street without being as stiff as a coilover but at the end of the day the firmer ride alters the quality of a daily driver and makes you very tired during long trips
  6. jeeeesus i had no idea it was that expensive! i think ill stick with shell v-power 98 or the ethanol 100 stuff. my main concern is that with the amount of driving i do, the tankof fuel i have now in the car is over 2weeks old and im not sure of the petrols 'shelf life' i mean any organic carbon based fuel will break down over time and effect the octane rating which may lead to detonation etc.
  7. Hey guys, just a quick question about where can i purchase race fuel or fuel with a high octane rating? how much is it per litre or per drum/barrel etc? the reason i ask is that i hardly ever drive my r34 GTR and would prefer to run nothing but race fuel so i can run a more aggressive tune safely without any detonation. thanks in advance -Johnny
  8. What you guys think? im thinkin of getting one cos the price is pretty damn good. heres the link: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SKYLINE-GTR-BNR32-B...1QQcmdZViewItem if the link dosent work the item number is: 370052334909 could it be possible that its any good?
  9. ok beer baron, i appreciate this site very much and have just made a donation. I also appreciate the great prices from forum traders for the skyline enthusiast. the anger i feel is like most other members that the trader has made a 'rare' mistake and should have quickly rectified it at their own expence before they gain a bad reputation. -Johnny

how good are the paddle shifters in the jazz!! almost no lag between changes (anyone who has driven a bmw tiptronic will know what im talkin about)

    My New Ride

fantastic choice! actually once my bmw was hit and whilst it was getting repaired i was given a honda jazz for a courtesy car and it was an amazing funky car, was the 1.5 litre i think with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. it was so good, i didnt want to give it back even when my car was ready lolz!
  12. just out of curiosity, launch control isnt just a rev limiter is it? i once read that launch control maps retard the timing and richen up the injectors to produce more exhaust gases whilst reving in neutral to get the turbo on boost earlier or reduce a negative vacumn in a manual car! is this right? thats why we see japanese drag races revving to redline for quite a while before launching with black pops of fuel exiting the exhaust. can anyone elaborate?
  13. fantastically modified in tough black! btw mate i would really put in an oil cooler before you take a track day on, if you watch this best motoring dvd called gtr: the prodigy, a stock r32 gtr goes out on the track and the oil temperature climbs very high by like the second lap so id hate to see anything bad happen to yours as its got significanty more power.
  14. cops dont care about your ride height with passengers, i was defected in an stock 200sx s15 a few years ago with 4 people in the car and full tank of fuel. i tried to go to court and fight it/ argue with cop but to no avail... i paid the 450ish fine and got the roadworthy without a single modification.
  15. Hey pplz, just thought id clarify for anyone who is a bit confused about their r34 gtr getrag 6-speed, the gearbox oil should actually be serviced with the toyota supra getrag 6-speeds special fluid which has been produced with the proper specifications that getrag requires. the oil is an automatic transmission fluid and will cost you about 60-120 dollars per litre and you will require 2 of them, the oil can be ordered from toyota or other jap part importers and should be known as the v160 oil. both getrags in the supra and skyline are an identical box minus the transfer case. dont risk using any other fluid apart from this (redline, castrol etc) anyways just thought id post the info as ive just done the service with my vspec 2. Oh and for the engine i used motul 10w40 300v chrono which is the bomb! -Johnny
  16. must be a victorian one!!! but its handy to get one from the sellers state to so at least you know there shouldnt b a problem getting one here. i wish you all the best of luck if you end up getting an out of state car and if u need any more information please dont hesitate to ask! -Johnny
  17. hey dude, i just bought my r34 gtr from sydney a week ago and its pretty easy to get everything done. basically i would get an inspection done unless you are gonna go down and inspect it yourself, a professional inspection cost about 300bux from companies like VIP automotive whom can also arrange transport. shipping from syney to melbourne usinf CEVA logistics (formally TNT) cost about 500bux for an open truck but generally will incur some stone damage on the way so make sure you get the insurance with it as my car got its winshield and front bar damaged which im getting fixed soon. otherwise pay the extra for a closed truck container which is made for luxury and race cars but is more pricey. fill out a transfer of ownership form and get the seller to do the same and go to vicroads here (you will require a RWC) pay the stamp duty and other fees and your done!! -Johnny
  18. great thanks guyz. i jst ordered one from ebay!
  19. Hello peepzz, as the title states im after an apexi panel filter for an r34 gtr, am ready to purchase! thankyou in advance -Johnny
  20. ive got this nismo snokel in my r34 gtr, i think its made of kevlar and might be a good option for those who wanna keep their stock airbox and want a less restrictive snorkel.
  21. Hey there, just a quick question does anyone know what stock boost is for an R34 GTR? i just got mine and it has a HKS boost controller and im afraid to give the car a good thrashing. So far boost kinda peaks at 1.13-1.15 bar, does that sound right? oh and also where can i buy an aftermarket panel filter for the stock airbox, like a apexi, HKS or ARC one? thankyou in advance -Johnny
  22. oh i forgot to add: put the stock airbox back on and add a nice free flowing panel filter. trust me i have tested both and unless you have a cold air intake (fully boxed pod with ducting from outside the car) it will make performance and fuel consumpsion worse dont spend money on tuning!
  23. Hey guyz, Im jst chasing Decat Pipe for R34 GT-R Vspec 2. Im ready to buy one so if anyone knows who sells em im game. thankyou in advance -Johnny
  24. its true whyte, lots of drivetrain loss!! dosent matter my new r34 gtr vpec2 has taken care of that problem!!
  25. i had an r33 gts-4 non-turbo with the rb25de engine it had pod, zorst and unichip ecu which made a ridiculously pathetic 78awkw! a full 2kw gain for 900bux
