Item:Impul ECU for R34 GTR Age:?? Few years Condition:Excellent Price: Require advice but open to offers, will post price very soon. To Fit: R34 GTR Location: Melbourne Contact: Best to PM me or reply in thread Comments: Remap'd ECU tuned for boost increase from exhaust addition, no top speed cut. Basically like a mines ECU Quick question to anyone reading the thread, im a tad confused as to what this ECU is worth, I know it cost around 2000bux new. I would probably ask a price a lil more than a stock r34 gtr ecu would be worth, after i get some input ill change the thread. I will also pop it on ebay to see if i get any bites there. thankyou -Johnny

More R34 Gt-r Parts - Brisbane
Johnny replied to Willo's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Interested, Whats the bodykit made out of mate? -
omg, gtr-13 you might not believe this but i was actually just about to order the number plates [GTR-13] you have some great power there, your soo right though, kinda runs out of puff past 7000rpm. I would only do cams if there is no loss in low down torque so ill analyse your dyno sheet more closely. btw i also put your car as my desktop background, it looks fabulous.

hey tony, thanx man! i was gonna msg u how i did n maybe come past to see your car. ill be doin those mods pretty soon mate, I have something to say about protek but ill keep it quiet for a bit until i post some pics of my issue. may i ask to anyone reading this thread, when u get a power fc installed, does it mount in the stock computers position? the frame should fit it right? cos currently mine is hanging on the floor mat and i was told to use some double sided tape to stick it against the kick panel because the stock frame dosent hold it. is this right?

Im sure mate, is that a z-tune kit i see? im ordering the bonnet and rear pods for mine before hopefully entering it into autosalon, is there an SAU section i can pop mine in? im done for mods after i pop in the dumps and front pipes + cam gears again, fantastic car!
-
Yeah its pretty good power, sorry i wrote it wrong its actually 235awkw, i posted my dyno page in the forced induction section. i will be adding the dumps and front with some cam gears and call it a day, expect me in this years autosalon!!! -Johnny

Got mine from JDM-TUNE on ebay, i ordered it from them for 980 with hand controller and had it couriered the very next day so i didnt have to wait. Duncan your car is amazing, what rims are you running there? jst add a carbon bonnet and the car will b perfect. EDIT: Forgot to add, JDM-TUNE sent my package to the wrong address (1414 instead of what it really was). Thank god the courier that delivers my area knows who i am and came to my place instead. I emailed the seller named Willy whose PO BOX is in kew to notify him of the situation being very polite as i had recieved the product but i got no response, not even an apology. i will now give him bad feedback and not buy from him again.

Hey guys, jst got my cars power fc tuned on the dyno today, it spat out 235kw at all wheels on 14psi. Jst thought id post my printoff for discussion/criticism. mods: Cat back exhaust, race cat pipe, HKS EBC running 1 bar and an Apexi panel filter in stock box. The car definitely picked up mid range power but i havent given it a bit of a go yet as i would like some peoples imput on the power fc's ability to read knocks, mine got up to '28' and i dont know what that means or how much is it suppost to be. This was in 3rd gear and backed off throttle at 4500. any expert advice would be appreciated -Johnny

I jst had my r34 GTR tuned today and made 241aw/kw on 14psi. mods are jst a catback exhaust, race cat, hks ebc and power fc. i read that the rb26dett in stock form actually makes 244kw at flywheel but was disclosed due to the japanese agreement.

Best Excuse In Escaping Or Reducing A Speed Fine
Johnny replied to GTR-N1's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Hahahahaha!!!! a good way to get the fine increased is to say: "arent you one of the village people" or "i thought u had to be in shape to be a police officer" -
R33 was mine and with the police, accidents, parking tickets and insurance premiums i highly regard it to be the worst time of my life. on the upper side, i had my share of small minded chicks whom were impressed by guys in nice cars.

On friday night i went for a cruise and saw this candy green r32 with some aggressive bodykit, ive seen it around before in the daytime and it is amazing. Does anyone on this forum own it, would be in northern suburbs. also as i exited my driveway i was next to a vl turbo with FLYT-87 i cruised next to him for a while, it had a mean dose and a crazy loud external gate. He followed me for a while before turning off.

if it was mine, i would go for hks t51r. 2.8litres would bring it on nicely and nobody could argue with its unmistakable spool sound. Ball bearing and rated at 1000hp what could be better.

What Do You People Know About This E85 Fuel ?
Johnny replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
jst to clarify that ethanol is a carbon based fuel, a simple version with 2 units which still when combusted releases energy from the broken linking chain but because it is simple, it will produce less kilojoules per litre then 98oct etc. CH-CH ALL fuels produce carbon emissions metho is ethanol but they add methanol to it to prevent it being taxed in the same class as drinkable alcohol (spirits etc) methanol is toxic to humans, specifically to haemological and vascular system. they found that aboriginals were buying methylated spirits at 10bux for 5litres as opposed to vodka etc at 30-50bux for 750mls -

hmm good point about reliability, i believe that ethanol when used for long periods corrodes rubber lines and can literally crack them. rememmber that ethanol is alcohol and basically methylated spirits. possibly may even destroy/corrode valves/head gear etc -

Johnny replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
if this is the one im thinking of its a 15% petrol to ethanol mix. ferrari and lotus have tuned both their elise and f430 to run on the fuel with a nice torque and power increase, yes it used more petrol per km but being only 15% petrol the arabs might wanna start worrying and get back on their camels. -
to work it out, go to any japanese auction website and find the price of the car if you were to buy it in japan; generally 3.8-5.0 million yen depending on spec. pay agent fee 100,000 yen = bout 1000bux shipping 150,000-250,000 yen 10% gst australian tax 10% import tax new luxury car tax compliance = bout 1500-2000 new tyres + service stamp duty = 3ish% i think on car registration commission to importer be careful with cos cars with accident history fetch lower prices and have lower auction grades therefore the importer may buy one at 2-3 and tell you it was a 4-4.5
