  1. Hey dude, Its on the website under products > 'Rust Protection' Sorry forgot to mention where it was, its that electronic gadget your talking about. I was just also mentioning the other protective stuff so interest sake.
  2. Yeah ive heard of these too, looks good to me and the science seems relevant. Paint Protection This company sells them, they also sell a special paint protection based on glass. I used it on my car and its fantastic.
  3. Lucky SOB! lolz I would take the f430 spyder anyday of the week.
  4. Hey Trent, I had a really crappy battery in my car and because when i took it out for a drive, it wasnt for very long; not enough time for the alternator to charge. I actually dont have an alarm but dont worry, its kept in a locked garage and i dont ever park the car.....ever! Ill say hi to Rob n Danz for ya! By the way did you check out my dyno thread? after all it was your advice that kept me from making a crappy purchase. Thanks mate, good stuff!!!
  5. Thanks man! Definitely driveability is better 100% Never driven a supra, would love to feel the difference. Thanks for the positive result. When i was using the airbox i noticed an instant sluggishness once i put the other half of the box back on.
  6. Hey mate, yeah im sure plenty of people have used them for a long time. Im glad i got the heads-up about it so i thought everyone else on this forum deserves the same. Like i wrote in another thread about an embarrasing incident i had at the petrol station where i had to whip out the supercheap auto jumpstarter.
  7. Thanks guys so far for the analysis and thoughts! Like said there are too many sliding variables to my testing so a 100% proven theory is not on the cards but im very happy with the results and the car is fabulous to drive! I wrote up this thread because this is a forum for skyline enthusiasts and i hope some people enjoyed the read/results.
  8. Thanks mate, just a catback zorst, pods, power fc and EBC Not exactly sure what your asking but here is a pic of the setup here it is now
  9. Heres some pics of my car for the 34 fans
  10. Hey guys, This thread is an elaboration from Trents (URAS) thread which basically showed the low/midrange gains of a boost solenoid or stepper motor with a properly setup 'Gain" function; Fine control of wastegates. Thankyou by the way Trent from stopping me buying the power fc boost kit! Also The discussion about stock airboxes and whether they proved a restriction from an air velocity, turbulance and volume point. -First dyno sheet was done on the 2nd of July and made 235awkw at 1bar with an apexi replacement panel filter and bottom half of the airbox removed. -Boost controler was a HKS EVC version 3 (solenoid) -Dyno done today made 255awkw at 1 bar with apexi power intake pods -Boost controller was a new HKS EVC Version 6 (stepper motor) Both dyno runs were done with the bonnets up so even though there was a gain of 20awkw would we expect a car in bumper to bumper traffic to have higher intake temperatures and therefore lose this power? But one thing is for sure, the addition of a partition utilizing the intake snorkel might give us the best of both worlds! I dont really know how to compare the different boost controllers as i dont know how to compare a dyno sheet in RPM to KM/H so perhaps someone would like to examine it for me. There is no 100% secure result as there are too many sliding variables but i found it pretty cool! Thankyou to Rob, Daniel and the rest of the boys at CREATD motorsport! He went above and beyond for a tidy setup, expert tune and treated the car as if it was his own. So if anyone is looking for an expert tuner, I highly recommend them and have their contact details in my signature.
  11. Hey guys, Thought id post up a product review on something that would be very useful for the skyline driver or sports car driver that ends up having to jumpstart their weekend warrior because the battery keeps going flat. Sometimes it only takes a week of unuse, care of an high tech alarm or stereo. The product is called a trickle charger or more formally a 'fully automatic battery charger.' Now the product ive got is made by C-tek and the model is xs800; cost of the product is 90bux or less for different models and about anyone could install it. Heres the product itself: And here is it installed: Basically when your not gonna use your car for a while, plug in the figure8 male into the engine bay and plug the unit into the wall. It will charge your battery as it discharges at a variable rate which wont overcharge and wreck the battery. Anyways thanks to Rob and the boys at CREATD motorsport and forum member scathing for the idea.
  12. Thanks for the head up dude, always appreciate clarification of info! On another note though, amazing how many car manufaturers are sleeping around with eachother all the time ey! Like when you step into some aston martins and you find volvo parts lolz or audi parts in some lamborghinis Pretty soon we will have the McHolden or the KFcitroen lolz at least the bugatti veyron aint owned by volkswagon......oh wait thats like Osama Bin Laden funding the democrats......Obama Bin Laden!
  13. RESULTS: Apexi panel filter with lower half of boxed removed: 235awkw Apexi power intake pod filters: 255awkw -So a nice 20kw gain So we can see that the airbox, although able to support big power numbers will provide a restriction of air volume and velocity. Now in real world, driven in stop-start traffic conditions the extra airflow will probably be negated by the increased underbonnet temperatures but driven in low traffic conditions where roadspeed is a constant above say 50km/h the results are an increase in power and response. I will make a new thread tonight with the dyno run sheet for anyone whos interested to read. Next stage will be monitoring of intake temperatures via vspec and power fc sensors in different conditions and addition of a carbon partition to see if i can get the best of both worlds. -John
  14. What do the EPA usually search for? Are there police present?
  15. pic 4 is my new wallpaper. Its sooooo frekin tuff, so tough, amazingly tough..........did i mention how tough it is.
  16. Doubt they will stop producing parts, business will continue. cmon Lamborghini went bust many times but kept being bought by other people/companies and happend to produce the diablo which was French if i remember correctly. Lambo is now bought by Audi which is owned by VW Aston martin; bought by ford i think. Maserati went bust and bought by ferrari which threw out the mc12 TVR is not british anymore, its russian Landrover is furkn Indian

I saw a shitload of cars at CREATD ms this morning...obseszed/obsessed plated black gtst a very nice r32 gtr with an n1 motor and a 4088hanging off the side. a 10 second evo with a 1.8litre engine Few rexy's, Evo's oh and my r34 gtr........its an amazing machine
  18. Rob dont bother with the doubters, i saw the same thing happen to you on the UK site and its best just to remain silent and keep showing your amazing workmanship. Keep making those movies of dyno runs and drags and they will do the talking. Show the wheelstands and mention the customers who ship their cars across countries for your tuning. Post some of your fabrication skills pics on here and leave it at that. I have an r34 gtr and when i ready for a built motor, i will be buying from you!
  19. Yeah mate, a hks evc. Its probably a line which wasnt needed by the aftermarket. Cheers dude
  20. I dont think there really is only one right answer. I mean YES carbon based fuels will breakdown over time and the reason why fuels have higher octane ratings is due to how complex their structures are. Temperature, time etc are all catalysts which breaks the bonds between the hydrocarbons Like haemorrhoid said, how long does the fuel sit at the refinary before you pump it and what environment has it been exposed to. by the way ross, thats a nicely maintained car u have there! is it midnight purple? Im a paranoid person so im gonna be cautious and find a way to prevent possible detonation by either adding an octane booster or some race fuel. If my tank has old petrol i will watch my knock sensor on the hand controller and get to a fuel station asap to top up the tank.
  21. Dude your always gonna have it, somebody told me to put a hotdog in it so i went down to the delacatessan and picked up some nice franks and rammed those babys home.....but then my car wouldnt start. lolz, I would find a nice stock exhaust and pop that in. remember the NA is always gonna be louder than a turbo as the turbo acts as a little muffler.

Everyone knows the 'stare' I mean my life sucks enough and when i go out im expecting some attention from females but instead all i get is the penetrating gaze of a mr fabio. Was worse cos when i was at the petrol station, my battery dies so i have to open the boot and bend over to attach the jumpstarter.....all this while being watched by Mr. T and some bloke named Dexter. Im going for another drive tonight....will report back a little later with my latest entry.
  23. Hey blokes, just wondering what is this line in my engine bay which has a screw in it? Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance!
  24. I was very interested in this discussion a while ago so i did both; bought the apexi pod kit and an apexi panel filter replacment. The box was good but felt a little restricted compared to the free pods, power came on in a nice smooth surge rather than a violent shake. Dyno run with the panel filter was done at 235awkw another dyno will be done tomorrow (10-sep) which will see of any power gains from pods.
