Seem to recall a mate who got his r34 gtt turbo highflowed from gcg turbos for 1700bux but they are in sydney so you could perhaps ship it down?, dont know if the prices have come down. Any thought on buying a garrett item or hks? tad more expensive but you can always sell your old one to make up the difference.

Hey dude, -the power switch holds gears for a bit longer before changing; try it from a standstill and you will know what i mean. -The normal mode changes nice and smoothly but you can always give a little more pedal to make the car hold the gear. -The snow mode starts the car off in second gear which is a safer in slippery conditions but technically you wouldnt use it in aus. There is no way to turn off the turbos for oil i would use 5w40 or 10w40. Full synthetics are definitely the best like from mobil1 or castrol and motul make a very nice oil called turbolight which is very good for the price at about 50bux. If your insane and paranoid like me you can use motul chrono 300v at like 150bux Welcome to forums by the way, im sure your car will give you plenty of joy....or pain Please post some pics of your car when you get the chance.

By the way do you know about the r33 gtr in New Zealand which is actually a gts-4 convert? It was on the high octane dvd series (#2 i think) An amazing trust 700hp gts-4 with a gracer bodykit painted in purple, it raced the ford gt40.

Is it because the stock ecu reduces timing to decrease the knock? Im a very paranoid person so because my power fc dosent have the ability to reduce timing im always afraid to give it the beans. Im in process of booking in another dyno tune at CREATD motorsports as im getting my new version 6 hks evc installed and i will ask them to get the knocks as low as possible. Is it possible that my 15-25 ish 'knocks' are just other engine noises picked up by the microphones? I wonder!

Sucks that shell got rid of their vpower racing huh. I will buy a bottle to try out, you gave me a good idea about watching the knocks. Mine seems to reach about 15-25 but im not sure if its just engine noise or not but i will add the booster and see if it reduces down. Alot of people think it dosent work but its worth a try at like 20ish bucks. Plus the website did a test and it seemed pretty worthwhile.

-I had an intercooler kit installed on my s15 for $260 at protek -manifold + dump pipe + turbo was $280 plus 100bux for all new gaskets at protek -Catback exhaust and front pipe was $55 at an exhaust place next to autobarn in campbellfield -EBC install was $180 at Creatd ms -Power FC install and 4wd dyno tune was $395 at protek Hope that helps

I cant believe it, another car keyed by jealous scum of society. Tez the product your talking about is by turtle wax, they still sell it. A bloke i knew had a civic which was keyed and he just bought some vinyl graphics to pop over it as he didnt want to spend too much either.

What is insurance like these days for 18-20 year olds? Im 22 and my r34 gtr vspec 2 is only 1500 to insure. When i had my s15 at 19 it was 2500; talk about what a couple of years do for your premiums

Oh boy its a hard call, to reduce the chance of anything going wrong i would pay for a professional checkup before buying. Make sure you get compression tested, panel clearances for any major accidents, leak test etc. This will minimize the chance of your wallet becomming a whore and opening up all the time. Ive had my gtr for about 6 months and ive already spent 5k(ish) on it; they dont call skylines money boxes for no reason.

Hey mate, always think long and hard about your choice and buy whichever one makes you happy. My first car was an r33 NA and second car was a 200sx; definitely similar on fuel consumption and the 180sx will feel worlds quicker than the r33. The 180sx is also much more fun to drive as you can kick the tail end out a little which you cant do with the rex. Plus rexy's are the anti-christ in the nissan world.

Hey thanks for all the responses so far guys. Im not after more power but i do want piece of mind. For instance, my car is tuned for 98octane fuel but if i add this booster will it provide a second line of defence against detonation on a hot summer day? again im not after more power just a safety net. is it true about the spark plugs, is it really detrimental?

I have a tank also with a karcher that can take water directly from a giant bucket, best way to wash and be politically correct. Always presoak first and wash with lambswool mit.

Im really keen on a medium single for my gtr; i want it because of the gate, ease of maintenance and clean appearance. After reading beer barons thread and seeing those dyno runs from URAS with the blitz single im contemplating the conversion. Has anyone ever used a t67 from trust on a gtr? i know they run them on sr20's so im sure it would run responsive on a GTR
