If your car is a manual, a PowerFC for an R34 is always a good option too, but it takes a few minor mods to get it working right. Do a search for the "Secret Squirrel Tweak" for what mods need to be made.

Hahaha, so true - and it's also true that you can't laugh at someone else unless you can laugh at yourself! My old man used to do a fair bit of mechanic work for friends, etc. Once, a friend of his complained that no matter how many wheel alignments he'd had done on his car, after a few days it would always pull to one side again. Dad drove the car home, jacked it up, checked all the suspension and steering arms to make sure nothing was bent, and took it to have another alignment done by a mob he always bought his tyres from, etc. Dad then drove the car and it was all good, so we took it back to the owner, and when we got there we asked him where he'd like it parked. He lived in a small batch of townhouses with single garages and sloping gutters. He owned another car, so the garage spot was taken, so he parked the car half-on and half-off the service road in front of his house. Now, because he ALWAYS reversed into that spot and the two left wheels were ALWAYS up on the grass, one side was always being exposed to forces that threw the steering out... I'm not sure if my old man ever mentioned anything to him (or if he realised at the time why this was happening), but as I watched this guy reverse the car back, I thought to myself "You clown..." I wasn't even old enough to drive at the time, and even I understood the concept of why the wheel alignment was always being whacked out.

Hahaha, we used to have South Park smileys here, the Cartman one would have been perfect!

***calling All Sydney Stagea Owners***
GoldZilla replied to CL11QE's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Danny, we meet at 7.30pm at the Berowra truck stop on the Pacific Highway (it's the spot where the toll-gates used to be for the F3), and we leave there at 8 to head North. I'm going up regardless of the rain. On those nights when it's raining, a majority of us usually use the freeway anyway. -

I have to agree with everyone here, that is an excellent install! I have an iPhone too, and I think I will eventually upgrade my Alpine CD/MP3 deck to another Alpine but with A/V and iPhone compatibility. -
Also, ladies and gents, SAU-NSW are having an Oran Park track day using the Grand Prix circuit on the Friday following our meet-up. (Plenty of time to book a day off, peoples.) As you may or may not know, Oran Park raceway is closing at the end of this year to be replaced by a housing estate. This will be one of your VERY LAST opportunities to race on the full, legendary, OPGP circuit before it's removed. Please don't miss it!!! Link: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...Gp-t268605.html Basic details: Cost = $100 for SAU-NSW members, or $200 for non-members. It costs just $60 for a full year of SAU-NSW membership (and the benefits out-weigh the cost), so it's actually cheaper to join and pay for this track day in one hit as a member, than pay for it as a non-member you'll require a helmet, a long-sleeved shirt, long pants and enclosed shoes your car will be required to pass safety scrutineering, so it should basically at least be road-worthy on that note, you don't need a heavily-modified car to have fun on the day - one of the Skyline owners still owns a bog-stock s2 R33 and has been to heaps of track days so far and has had a blast! you DO NOT need a CAMS or AASA racing licence for the day this is a driver training-focussed day, so you may even qualify for an insurance discount for your car afterwards Please don't let me be the only person representing the Stagea community on the day...

Sweet, I got your SMS with the new number too. It was you, right? There is one other Ian (Xmetal) and an Iain (zei20l) here in NSW, and that's just the Stagea drivers (or ex-drivers).
-
Hahaha, it's all good, I knew you were joking.
-
I'm pretty sure they're the same fitment as R33 GTSt, but the valving will have to be changed for the extra weight of the Stagea Whereabouts are you, Brad? If you're in Sydney, contact Heasman's Suspension and Steering.

Rb26 Oil Filter Removal Need Help Now!
GoldZilla replied to kidafa's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Chris, if you can't get it off, remove all the oil and just stab the filter with a screw-driver or something for more leverage. It's probably on way too tight, it should only be on hand-tight, with just enough pressure so it doesn't leak or come loose. -
WTF? When did I make said offer? How dare you insinuate such a thing, Stephen!!! Shame on you! So that IS you, Ian. Assuming you live right near TLC (my sis has been going for walks around there an thought she recognised your car, so she told me about it), do you realise you live less than 2mins away from me? Are you still on the same mobile number?

7th of June is fine with me too. Like Iain said, I'm sure we'll be there fairly late, Danny, so just show up when you can and we'll most likely still be around. Make sure your cars are clean (or as clean as possible) so we can get a few photos in of the group of cars.

Sau Sa Club For Skylines And Stageas

Woo Hoo, go Reuben (and the SAU-SA crew)! Word of warning, running a club can be VERY time consuming, but the rewards are worth it. -

NSW people, get yourselves to the Oran Park GP track day - this is a mega-cheap event and is one of the VERY FEW chances you'll EVER get to race at Oran Park before it is closed at the end of this year and replaced by a bloody housing estate... Link: -

Yep, that's Paul @ Performance Wise - he was (and maybe still is) a trader here on SAU, and that s1 in the shot is his own car. He's been offering these for quite a while, actually.

That AXIS would be Tony's car (aka NRVOUS on these forums), and it's recently had some work done to it. That would be a VERY nice car indeed!

Hahaha, the problem with a majority of car salesmen is that they're probably employed purely on their sales success instead of how much they love their products and cars in general. -
I thought those plates were familiar when I saw the car on TGA the other night.

John, if you're sticking to an R32 and going to put in an B26 anyway, you could (possibly, don't quote me on this as I haven't looked at pricing) get the best of both worlds and get an R32 GTS-4. The R32 GTS-4 was already turbocharged (unlike the atmo-only R33 GTS-4) and has the GTSt shell with AWD which is at least something similar to the GT-R running gear. It might work in your favour, it might not, but it's an option you might want to look into.
