  1. It's got number plates on it, so we can only assume it must be a personal import from a Japanese migrant or someone who'd lived there for a few years and brought it back with them, in which case it wouldn't need to go through the whole compliance process...
  2. Wow, still can't sell, Mitch?
  3. The problem with those gauges is that you can't choose what they monitor, Ryan. I would really have loved to have that as an option, but it didn't suit my needs.
  4. Nope, it's not in the way at all. And the housing is pretty decent quality, it almost exactly matches the colour of the dashboard, so it doesn't stand out from outside the car. Don't mount your gauges too low if you're going to want to keep an eye on them. There's already a thread with heaps of people's set-ups posted (it might be the stereo install thread, I can't remember), and I'll try and find it and link to it here. Regardless, here's what my set-up looks like - you've already seen where my boost gauge is mounted, these three are (L-R) Exhaust Temp, Oil Temp and Oil Pressure...
  5. Best. Advice. Ever! Here's mine:
  6. You CAN use the R34 GT-t unit on the s2 R33 engine, but it takes a fair bit of internal modification. I've got it running in my car, so I know - Mark @ Hills Motorsports can do the mods, and has done mine, Duncan's, and about 10 others. I *think* it's around $700-odd for the modifications to be done (assuming you already own a PFC). Mark told me he can get pretty much any RB-engine PFC running any RB engine, so give him a call... (02) 9899-9962. As for the secret tweak to pin 54 (or 51?), do a search in this section for "Secret Squirrel Tweak" posted by EGA41T or wolverine
  7. Yep, I'll be cleaning up the thread a bit soon and collating the info into C34-specific and M35-specific sections to make it easier for all...
  8. Thanks guys. Not sure if it was food poisoning, or that stomach bug that's going around, or maybe even a combination of both.
  9. I'm out tonight - I'm still feeling like death after Tuesday's full day of extreme unwell. I started eating and drinking again today without consequence, but I don't have enough energy to head out even as a passenger.
  10. I'm glad I didn't commit to this, as much as I would have loved to go - I've been so sick since yesterday that I haven't been able to eat anything and keep it down.
  11. Terry, the correct spelling is Wiehrl, and as the other Nick said, he can be contacted at BBM motorsports.
  12. Nah, I'd love to still come along, but can't.
  13. I was actually at the Albion last Friday night, have been there on a number of occasions (both at night and during lunch hours when I used to work down the road), and I've never seen or encountered any trouble. There are MUCH worse places to go to in Parramatta, that's for sure. The Roxy is an AWESOME venue let down by both its staff and the regular clientele. (I couldn't tell you what their events are like because I haven't been to one there in years, but the place itself is great - such a waste of a good venue, going by my last experience there.) I don't see the problem with Parramatta any more than I would anywhere else where you'd encounter d*ckheads. Maybe it's the fact that I've lived around the area since the day I was born - in fact, I've ALWAYS lived in a suburb within Parramatta council. If you're working in Parramatta, I don't get why your company is setting you up with accommodation in the city. Yep, nightly entertainment would be better in the city, but they didn't send you there to party, did they?
  14. Get your rear guards rolled and you *should* have very little issues. I've got 245/40/18s on mine and since the rear guards have been rolled I have no problems with any rubbing. My wheels just tuck under the guards, but they're 8" wide...

  16. Oooooh, Enkei NT-03's. Nice choice!!!
  17. Another good alternative to those beads is to use carpet cleaning powders. If we have a party, I fill small buckets/tins up with a bit of this to be used as ashtrays, it helps get rid of the smell straight away - using sand is fine for people to ash and put their cigarettes out in, but it doesn't do anything to get rid of the smell. Maybe try adding some to the ashtrays in your car over the space of a few weeks or however long it takes to get rid of the smell. You'll only need a little bit in each ashtray, and you *might* have to empty it out and replace it until the smell is gone. An alternative to the vinegar is lemon juice as well. A lot of people fill a small bucket (or even an ice-cream container) of water with a bit of lemon juice in it when they're painting their house, it helps to get rid of the smell. Smoking is one habit I'm glad I've never ever wanted to take up.
  18. Okay, I've just driven the car on 10psi and gave it two good squirts. Fffffffffaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkkkk!!! I'm a happy boy! Better boost control and more power, how could I complain?
  19. I know Iain's gonna ask anyway, so before he does... Was she hot?
  20. Spotted Iain "zei20l" and Stephen "Bis-e Bee" last night at the Coastie Cruise...
  21. THANK YOU, both of you - that will be very helpful in the future!
  22. Engine wise? GReddy FMIC (return-feed style so the piping goes back through the standard holes); APEXi PowerFC; Walbro replacement fuel pump bell-mouth style dump/front pipe high-flow catalytic converter 3" cat-back exhaust I think that about covers the mods, other than the fact that my car is a manual, which may also account for a few extra kW... Yesterday I drove it straight home from the workshop because I had no need or want to go anywhere (a trip of less than 10mins). Today I drove it around a fair bit, and only on the low boost setting (7psi, where it used to already run on 10psi before the EBC install). It goes almost as well on 7psi (notice that there's a difference of maybe 2kW peak power from the pre-EBC run on 10psi), but the way it comes on boost is smoother. When I take it for a drive on 10psi, I'll provide some more feedback on how it feels compared to before.
  23. Here's one I found, new, on rhdjapan.com: http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/NISMO-M35-...ers-White-56190 LOL, cue the games of "Hey, have you got one of these???"
  24. I've finally managed to install FAST on my laptop a month or so ago, but have NFI how to use it. I know what kind of info it can provide, but how to access that info is beyond me at this stage...
  25. Spotted a pearl white s2 RS parked up at UAS getting repairs done. Its owner had cooked the engine, so the head and all attached accessories were off the block for some major work - ouch!!! I wouldn't want to see the repair bill for that! Car had gold AVS Model 7 wheels and gold detailing around the large opening on the front bumper.
