  1. Just been doing some research, Seems the Kakimoto Regu 06&r is only 60mm in diameter at it's smallest point.. therefore it's only really a 2" exhaust. Also the availability of the HKS Silent Power to suit a R32 GTS-T is pretty low. Might be able to get one from Nengun or somewhere, but i don't really feel like waiting till next year to install it. The Kakimoto N1 is great, but it's a full system and i already have the split dump and high-flow cat.. Does anyone know of a reasonably quiet, quality 3" cat back system to fit an R32 GTS-T?
  2. Hey all, I've been making legitimate copies of some of my DVD's on my PC, however i've just been ripping the VOB files to the hard drive. I'm looking for some freeware software to convert them to something a little more hard drive friendly. Also need to be able to stich 2 files together. I know this isn't exactly game related, but i was wondering what program / programs you guys use to encode your videos and where i can get them. Thanks in advance, Steve
  3. Thankyou for your replies guys, I will be installing it on an R32 gts-t with an rb25 turbo, the just jap split dump and xforce hi-flow cat, so i realise it won't be very quiet, but glad to hear you guys are getting good results. I'll check out those vids when i get home thanks nizmo_freek.
  4. should be fine without gapping it to 0.6 ... your splitfires will fire them no worries.
  5. Hi all, I've been trying to decide between these 2 exhausts, but i haven't heard either in real life. Was wondering if anyone out there would be able to answer: Which is quieter when granny driving? Which sounds nicer when you fang it? I've read a good review about the Kakimoto, but haven't heard a lot about the HKS. Any info / opinions appreciated.
  6. july sounds great.. i'll have my new turbo / dump / cat on by then.. should be great fun.
  7. I've had good experiences with Davin from Stokes and Renk (Repco) in Subiaco. their number is 9381 1155
  8. yeah check your sensors.. air flow, crank angle.. etc etc. If that doesn't fix it then you can try taping / aralditing your coil packs. (there are tutorials on this on the forum)
  9. what about an rb25 turbo? are they a direct replacement? Obviously i wouldn't be looking at the same sort of power output, but i have seen some for pretty cheap. I've got the stock manifold on at the moment, but do have a stainless hi-mount manifold that i may use, depending on how crazy i go with the spending. my budget is kinda a money over time thing.. i've got about a thousand to spend on the car per month. I have about 1500 at the moment for the turbo itself.
  10. currently i've got: apexi pod filter, greddy fmic, gtr fuel pump, 3" turbo back exhaust, and remapped chip. not particularly sure what hp i'm looking for. Just more . probably only have about 200 now, so 250+ would be nice. I don't quite understand why the same pressure at the same rpm can give different results from different turbos... maybe i'm thinking about it too simplistically. Budget is probably 1500 or so. but if possible i'd like to spend less (as most people would) edit: (oh and thank you )
  11. Hi all, Just wondering what turbo would suit my needs. I'm after a replacement turbo for my rb20det to run around 16 to 18 psi. I'd prefer for it to not be too laggy, but i also would like it to be able to maintain this boost at the high end rpm. What turbos would fit this description and how much would i be looking at to purchase them?
  12. Fill out this form <-- then after filling it out, you should get an email (which my spam filter killed a few times) then follow the steps and bob's your uncle.
  13. FINALLY got my new wheels on.. here's a pic...

    Tyres

Best bet is probably some Federals. Have to get 595s for 19" .. probably looking at $350 a tyre (for the 245s) . They're a good looking well performing tyre.
  15. i can confirm there will at least be ferraris..
  16. Perth motor show is back again in a few weeks. Usually it's pretty poor, but today at work i sent the TV advertisements to the stations, and in the ad it shows the new GTR (if only for a few frames).. Might be worth going along if it's there... that's a big "if" though... just coz it's in the ad, doesn't mean it's definately going to be there.
  17. Are you using the stock gauge? .. they are known to be completely unreliable.. mine reads similar to what you describe, but i had the garage test it and my oil pressure is fine. Definately worth looking into, but don't replace anything major just yet.. could just be the gauge.
  18. hahaha.. excellent work with the April fools joke.. had me going for a while.
  19. Hey mate, got the wheel nuts today.. perfect nick is a long stretch though.. they are chipped, scratched, slightly rusted... overall pretty shitty. Thought i was buying some nice nuts to top off my new wheels, but these are destined to be paper weights.
  20. well here's the 5 photos i managed to get before my camera ran out of batteries: http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh44/Wo...se/P3210001.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh44/Wo...se/P3210004.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh44/Wo...se/P3210006.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh44/Wo...se/P3210009.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh44/Wo...se/P3210013.jpg
  21. really good cruise.. amazing turn out.. pitty about the police, but i guess 60 or so tuner cars are gonna attract some attention on a long weekend when cops are targeting speeding and the likes. a bit bummed i wasn't in the big group going through the tunnel, but the 4 other skylines i was in there with still put on a show! didn't make it to the last stop coz my passenger ran out of time. Some amazing photos.. great work with the cameras. My camera ran out of batteries Definately looking forward to doing that route (or a similar one) again.. next time with the new wheels on (yay)
  22. People always talk of trimming a few k's off.. but if you've been to Japan and see what driving it like over there, it's completely understandable that a car can do under 10,000k's each year. I'm not saying it hasn't been done before, just that it's not unlikely to find a car (especially a skyline) in Japan that has done very few k's.
  23. Meh.. as long as everyone is well behaved it shouldn't be an issue. I do strongly recommend people are on their best behaviour too, since police have announced zero tolerance for speeding, hooning and driving with distractions (on phone etc) for the easter weekend. So lets make friday a "show n shine" style cruise.. relaxed, well behaved.. get some good photos (to be taken by passengers )
  24. quoted for truth
  25. hope it goes well mate. my car was acting up similarly, and turned out to be a loose wire in the plug going in to the CAS.. these problems are so figity.. hope you've found it and got it sorted though!
