I don't think it's the diff, otherwise it'd do it in other gears too. Iv read this exact whine is normal on Evo's and iv seen it on YouTube it's identical to mine. They all reckon it's normal and develops this noise after a few launches. Only thing is I can't remember if it was always here and I just didn't notice it

Hi guys, iv got a brand new series 3 box installed not long ago. It's been bedded in properly and hasn't been mistreated at all. Just street driving, did a few launches in it but that's it. Car is making 360rwkw atm. Now just today iv noticed 1st gear on de acceleration sounds like a straight cut gear. It's not too loud at all but has bit of a whine to it. This occurs on very low speeds like 30kmh or so de accelerating and when clutch is depressed still whines a little. Pull it out off 1st while still rolling and the noise is gone. All other gears are perfect and shifts perfectly too. I haven't noticed this before, maybe it was always like this and normal maybe not. Is this something normal or has something gone wrong?? Thanks in advance

Yeh it's not cheap man but now looking back it's worth every cent. It's worth saving for, iv waited for a while before getting one and funds permitted.

It's a Racepace exhaust, they're both custom made mufflers.

Only negative about the colour is the fact it's so hard to keep clean and maintain.

A while back tidied up the engine bay and painted covers and catch can. Also went all stealth on the exhaust.

Iv got an R33 gtr one if you still want one.

Iv got 265's on 10.5inch wheels, very little stretch. But as you said depending on manufacturer as advan 265 ad08 appear much wider than the khumo 265 I replaced, the profile appears different too even tho dimensions are identical.

Looking tough mate!! Are you keeping the exhaust stainless finish?? I painted mine black for a stealth look I'm keen to see if the cooler is your restriction!! I think I might have the same problem, Chris has had everything checked and it won't make more power, stuck on 360rwkw atm we were hoping for more. He mentioned possibility is the Trust cooler is the restriction or a few other things which he reckons is not worth doing for the extra 20kw or so. I already smashed a gearbox with this power so he may be right lol

Iv lived in dandy area for last 13 years. Iv had modified imports most that time and lately on my second gtr. I gotta say cops are pretty good around here, iv rarely been pulled over even tho I do get their attention and the looks as it does stand out. I get followed at times for license checks and what not but I have a good record so they just leave me alone. The times I was pulled over when I offered to pop the bonnet last two times they didn't wanna look at all, they just checked tires and license etc... They could have drilled me hard if they wanted to. Had a laugh and chat to them and that's it. If your car is clean, well presented and you behave on the road with a good record you'll be okay. They target more the commos and fords slammed to the floor with no exhausts which I see more often. Regarding all the young street racers, I don't get many trying to race me mainly cause they know I'd whoop their ass

Yeh thought you'd go single outlet, it'll look much more stealth that way on a 32 gtr. It's a single outlet cutout from factory.

Looking very good!! It's all coming together very nicely mate, can't wait to see it in flesh. Those rpm exhaust are awesome, worth every cent!! Did you go single or dual outlets?? Haven't seen one on a 32 gtr before.

Wasn't making that much more power with more boost and you'll find that it won't hold such high boost anyway with standard wastegates and solenoid. This is where it made most power efficiently and safely.

To my knowledge anything over 1.2 bar they'll lose efficiency. You simply won't make power whatever other mods you have.

Yeh mate, just basic mods really.Front pipes, trust exhaust, decat, power fc, standard airbox with apexi filter and cam gears. 287rwkw spiked to 17.5 psi dropping down to 15.5 in higher rev range. Everything else was standard on an unopened engine. I replaced injectors and fuel pump later on as a precaution, they were 20 years old as well as reconditioned afm.

On my old r32 gtr I did the same turbos as mentioned here and with supporting mods got 287rwkw.
