Hey all, Got a 32 gtst with... Full 3inch turbo back exhaust, split front/dump pipe, gutted cat, Straight pipe RB25 neo turbo, running 12 psi Turbotech boost controller Front mount intercooler Adjustable cam gears Bosch 040 fuel pump Just Jap coil packs K&N panel filter Safc2, tuned by re customs (186kw atw) since i bought the car there has been a rattling noise coming from around where the turbo is, which ive always assumed was an exhaust leak. However a month ago or so i put my foot down on full throttle. The car started boosting then got to roughly 6,000 rpm/ around id say 9psi or so. and then all of a sudden lost all boost and the revs dropped down to about 2,000 rpm. I was abit worried when it happened and thought it might be a vac line or something, but it never happened again, so i just forgot about it... So yesterday took my car to get an unexpected timing belt change done, and the mechanic heard the rattle from around the turbo, and thought that it would be that exhaust leak, So they changed the gasket just after the turbo going into the dump, hoping that it would improve the performance and stop the horrible rattling noise. So i went to pick the car up today, and the rattling was still there, Then they tell me they think its the waste gate. i thought i should take it for a drive before i leave... so began to accelerate, as soon as it began to boost it started shuttering and loosing all boost. I just want to know, what everyone thinks it might be? If it is in fact the waste gate, that means a new turbo because its internal wastegate obviously. So where to go from there? I am thinking just going the same turbo so i dont need to re tune the car? Could it be just vac lines etc? cheers, jack.

Hey, Had my 32 gtst for a couple of months now, and the light(check pics, red light on the left) on the right hand side of the dash next to the 'door open' light is flickering at me. The light looks like a radiator symbol (4 straight lines going into a square with steam symbols over the top)??? it seems like its only going on when i go over bumps and it shakes the car. The temp in my car is fine, checked the rad and all is good, engine sounds fine. i have been tinkering with the wiring loom lately and have found it to to be very disorganized and untidy. so im thinking its just a wire tripping it. just wanna know what light it actually is??? and if this light usually goes on, and stays on when there is a problem, instead of just flickering??? and what the problem could be??? cheers.

Ok so got some prices on tires today.... Ku36's are $180 for 235/40/17 and there are on backorder for a month or so. in the way of federals, the dimensions 225/40/17 - rsr = $300, evo = $170, ss = $140 so the ku36's are probably best value for money easily.... considering they are like a semi slick.. but they dont have any at the moment. so if i go federal, i think im gonna get some evo's up fornt and some ss on the back. i dont really have the money to spend $300ea on tires atm.

Like i said tho, the car is only used as a drift car, wheter it be street or track... i go through tires quite quickly(well stockies anyway) i am looking at going just 225/45/17 or 235/40/17 all round im kumho ku36's... if their in fact isnt a huge difference in cost then ill probs go the ku36's all round.
