  1. Fuel Pump Injectors Turbos (would recommend GT-SS's for better response) ECU Retune Clutch (Don't ignore this like most power chasers do - people attempting to race other cars generally look extremely silly when something goes bang and they don't move from the lights) Brakes (Also don't ignore - people attempting to race other cars and end up hitting solid objects also look quite silly)
  2. I found an editing issue in this post: You mentioned 'hose GTR' and 'cheap' in the same post. These two expressions are totally incompatible... :-)
  3. If you're after correct problem diagnosis, shell out a few bucks, get an ECU remap and dynotune at the same time. The following guy is realistically priced and knows his stuff: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...no-t210097.html If you do require a good manual boost controller, a Turbotech is the way to go. Make sure you have an accurate boost gauge before you start modifying boost levels. Don't rely on the factory one! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Turbotech-manual-tu...1QQcmdZViewItem
  4. Thanks Andy, but this is for an R33 and they are very different. I've already spent quite a few hours trawling through the forums and, surprisingly, was unable to find a single photo, diagram, or 100% accurate tutorial on how to fit a standard manual boost controller to an R32 GTR! Amazing! Surely somebody out there can provide a picture or two?
  5. I recently purchased one of these after reading the rave reviews througout the forum. However, I'm new to the 'street modding' fraternity and need some assistance. Does anybody have a clear photo of where in the engine bay this boost controller needs to be connected? Instructions refer to between the turbo and the waste gate actuator. Can somebody supply an image of where this is in an R32 GTR? Thanks in advance, guys!!!
  6. Watch out for that excessive noise! I recently had a full system fitted by CRD and the bastard is as loud as your description. Idle is acceptable, but try even gentle acceleration on the road and the thing spits, rumbles, and roars. Pedestrians and cars within fifty meters of me turn to see what all the commotion is, and every friggin' boy racer (and non-boy racers who suddenly become converted) wanna race the gruesome beastie rumbling away at the lights next to them. Shit. Even babys in prams are checking me out... I think I just disabled sleeper mode... Thankfully, the exhaust came with a silencer (kind of like a funnel) which you just bolt in the rear to restrict some of the airflow, and therefore reduce most of the noise. Works like a charm, and you only lose a few kW. You should see if you can locate something similar, or you may even wish to consider a Varex Muffler.
  7. Most kits are actually solid bars that are to replace the HICAS steering rack, not washers. That is why they cost a couple of hundred dollars. However, as usual, there are quick ways to do the job of disabling HICAS (washers and bolts) and there is the proper way. The kit seems sound. You want to remove HICAS rack and replace it with the $130 kit you mentioned. However, to fully benefit, you will want ot remove all plumbing associated with the HICAS system. This will provide two benefits 1) No more spooky high speed cornering shenanigans from the HICAS system, and; 2) As mentioned above, a weight saving of around thirty kilograms (a considerable amount for the porky GTR) In summary, try the $130 lock kit, but be sure you have the remains of the HICAS system removed as well...
  8. Which shops developed these VL Turbo Commodores that you're referring to?
  9. Skylines Owners, of all people, shouldn't be trying to dissuade somebody from modding and trying something new! I say go for it! I, for one, will be watching with great interest...
  10. I purchased one of these just a month ago and they are BRILLIANT! Adjust from 1 (for dry weather) to 10 (absolutely pissing down) and I CANNOT break traction (I have a stock R32 GTR putting out 192kw at the wheels). However, once you want to have a bit of fun flick from 4WD to 2WD and you're running constant rear wheel drive only. It only costs $200 and can be fitted easily yourself (if you can solder and read). Many GTR owners claim this to be the best bang-for-your-buck suspension modification that you can make. Totally recommend it!
  11. Is your S15 on gas? (or do you have plans to do it in the future?)
  12. See everybody! Just like I said! Snags on a BBQ!
  13. Car felt fine initially. Had a four wheel alignment after fitting new tyres to the stock rims. After that, I noticed a definite gentle pull to the left. Took it back to where the alignment was done and they confirmed that alignment was fine but castor was out and unadjustable. Had the car serviced the next day and the place I took it to confirmed the castor issue (both bushes poor) as well as rhr cradle bush being poor. On a nice straight, dead flat piece of road, if you let go off the wheel you get a nice 'gentle', but very definite pull to the left.
  14. Absolutely perfect! Couldn't have asked for a better shot!
  15. Hi Guys, Currently have a castor issue with the car (R32 GTR) which causes it to pull to the left while driving A shop has recommended getting adjustable radius rods but I've also been told that replacing the castor rod bushes should be enough. What are the advantages of one over the other? Which should I use? Cheers!
  16. Thanks for the feedback guys! Anybody else got anything else to add? SK's sold a hell of a lot of these things, so I assumed they'd be a raving mob of enthusiasts out there just screaming about how good it is! Nobody got any pictures of what their car looks like when it's lowered with this kit?
  17. I'm seriously considering getting the group buy suspension kit (entire kit) that SydneyKid offers for an R32 GTR. Does anybody have any photos of their R32 after it has been fitted? Any feedback on how the kit handles would also be MUCH appreciated! Cheers guy!!!
  18. Ehhh??? I had a Brant car alarm fitted to one of my cars only 4 months ago and they did a bloody excellent job for a company that is out of business... I think you may find that you are wrong there. They still have a website up as well (www.brant.com.au) if you wish to confirm. I highly recommend them. Great products, great service, and they can come to you if you wish (I had it fitted while at work)
  19. A couple of additional questions: 1. What's the total for everything listed in your group buy for an R32 GTR? (I mean everything - full set of springs, etc...) I just wish to be sure of the final figure. 2. Approximate cost of fitting said kit (ballpark figure will be fine here) 3. Is there somebody you can recommend to set it up correctly in the Western suburbs (I live in Baulkham Hills, NSW). I've had far too many bad experiences (with previous cars) get overcharged, and under serviced when it comes to correct suspension setup...
