  1. The 34 looks fine other than the rims, (but thats my personal taste), you can't hang on someone for creating a car that THEY like. It's not like the car has been done with a tacky body-kit thats cheap, everything looks to be of decent quality and the paint is nice too. You probably should consider selling your car if your gonna say stuff like that to other people with 34's (or any skyline) considering that they are tuner cars and everyone has their own style to go with the many A/M brands for styling and mechanical parts that go with them. It's like me saying 'i wanna sell my car and people should drink battery acid' cause their 34's are making 200-250Rw and i don't like their engine set up...It comes down to what you want to do with you OWN car and most people who do stuff to their cars don't give a rats a$$ what other people think. It also depends on how much you want to spend and how far you wish to go with your car. Not to mention this car has been in a Hot4's or Autosalon (i cant remember which one) so he has been recognised by others for the decent job he has done with the car. And obviously people arn't gonna like what he's done, but theres no need to go out of your way to de-grade everyone else who doesn't do what you want/do. That being said heres mine: (not to everyone's taste like mentioned above and still has plenty of work to be done, this is a picture before my Volk GT-C's arrived which filled the guards).

Spotted a bus leaving Chadstone shopping centre today, pressumably with passengers inside. Very clean, if only it has some 42" TE37's for rims.

Hey Charles its Josh! You know my gf, Aj. I remember when you had your silver 33 (well i think this is you anyhow?!) If it isn't excuse the mixup. I thought you looked familiar. When did you get the yellow 34? Sorry i was in a rush to pick Aj up from work and could barely hear what you were saying not to mention i had no idea what i was saying myself cause i was so out of it! lol. We need a yellow Skyline in our skittle group lol We have CR33M (kris in his orange 33) SLDNBY -WSQ (Blue 34 non SAU member) UNR3AL (Ian non SAU member but on here with purple 34) and B3ZA (Mr. Sparkle Black 34 with random rainbow pearlesent in it) We just got a Red Evo 7 to join us and then theres myself with CR34M the green one as you saw, and now we need a nice yellow car to join us....JOIN US!!! LOL taste the rainbow (in the most non gay way possible) Haha, hopefully we see you around more buddy, take care.
  9. Rear Guards sold! - (Payment Pending) Front Guards still for sale! REDUCED TO GO! $1150 ($300 off initial price, save over $600 shipping them from Japan). Front Guards are same width as those of a BNR34 GT-R They have a slight more "pumped" look to them though. As mentioned above, these are hand made in Japan at the Cross-Factory plant. Anyone who is interested my email is above in a earlier post.

ROFL, i saw you once when i went past on P/hwy with a mate and i told my passenger who also has a 34, "please tell me you did not just see a 33 with a mustang badge" and he's like "no" so im like ohhh god good it must actually be a mustang! Then i saw you at China Bar and i shat myself laughing! HAHA i was like, there has to be a reason he has that thing on...regardless of what i say, its your car man, i find it ammusing and at the same time disturbing! At least it suites the front grille nicely. Can't be worse than my green looking thing.

They have their ways around it lol
  12. No problem, anytime... That would be your best bet, the money wasted on fabricating parts and going through the process mentioned is only worth it if you truely want to have something different. The money you save now would be better spent on a quality GT-R. As for the Eastbear idea, they look good but if your going to go half half, i'd suggest going something cheaper (as Eastbear can be a pocket drainer too) A copy Impul kit all round with a good set of rims and offset would set a 34 off quite nicely and still look very menacing with decent ride height. You could even get your front fenders pumped to make it look more like a GT-R and even add a front lip to give it a lower stance. I just thought i'd mention that idea since you could probably pick up the whole kit and paint it and possibly have money to spare on some nice rims compared to the money you'd spend on JUST the front end of the East-Bear kit. It's up to your taste at the end and i think both would look extremely nice. Make sure you post pictures when you are done with it all! Heres some pics of the kit (One is of a SAU member Cara back in the day before she transformed her 34) the other is a front bar shot and one has the front bar without side skirts, so it can show you how it sets the front off.
  13. Don't know who you should listen to since they are partially correct. The job is big, alot of time and alot of effort put in for something that looks so simple to do. It's probably best to have a good think what you want the car for in the long run, since the process can be very expensive. Theres no real shortcuts around it accept for one: I recommend you look into doing some custom work for side skirts etc, otherwise you will need GT-R skirts and fenders all round. You can get away with GT-R fronts and sides and be able to still use the GT-R rear fenders. Instead of replacing the tailight, you could just FRP prep and paint your current tailights, its probably gonna be alot cheaper to do (unless you get em from a wrecker, and good luck sourcing 34 GTR's floating around, not to mention if you did find one just cut the guards and rip what else if off it while your there). Your best bet is either leaving the car as is if this is just on a whim and you want the "look", but if your after bigger wheel wells for larger wheels and keeping the car in the long run (eg. for shows and w/e car etc) Then it might be worth doing. I for one was satisfied 20 thousand dollars later ... (Yes i could have had a monster 34 GTR by now) i could have built my engine even!!! It is not for the feint of heart. I still need to purchase massive offset rims since my current 18"s in the picture are dwarfed by the guards even with 25mm spacers! If you go ahead with the job, GOODLUCK! Ps. As you can see i added some photos of my 34 (started life as a plain standard white 25GT) I have done the front conversion and the rear...didn't need half the things the guys on here are saying to do, but it still is big money and alot of time regardless.

Yeh, thats my baby. It needs some TLC though....building and engine for it as we speak. RB26/30 aiming for 500RwKw mark Right now its non turbo So don't laugh...
  17. I bag one in small regardless of what colour/design is on it!
  18. Great all i needed to know! Yeh there will be some serious work going into the full engine but just wanted to know how they hold up with the RB25's, i guess if they work on 26's there should be no problems at all with the 25's if they recommend it can fit to a 25. Now to start getting all the parts together, should be good!
  19. Thanks mate yeh i been to nengun/RHD Japan and a few other places and have read the Tomei site, i know the 28 stroker kit fits the RB25 but was just looking at what power they can produce with that kit... For example from my personal experience and sighting i have seen RB25DET's reach around the 300RwKw mark without too many problems when being built... But on the hinds sight the reason i wanted to do the RB28 kit was cause to engineer a RB30 block to a RB25 Head from a 34 is a bitch...and vic roads and the cops all say no no no...so want to go as safe as possible, but i do know that with the 30 bottom end that the RB25DET (or should i say RB30DET) can produce in excess of over 400RwKw with not too much problems. My question really is what is the mark people think the RB28DET could make? i mean if i was to go out build my engine right now...with the best parts i can get my hands on realistically should i not bother with the 28 kit and just build the RB25DET as is? OR get the RB30 S2 block from a VL strap it on and build from there (which is the best option in terms of $ and performance so far that i know of) cept its illegal technically and a bit of a pain to clean up the block and prep it blah blah find out if its worn and stolen all that shit. Or just buy a 28 stroker kit (yes i know they are pricey but dont look at price too much look at the other variables) and put that on a RB25DET and build that? Just want to know roughly what power people think it can make with decent engine build since not any people have done stroker kits on RB25's. I would ASSUME theyd make around 350Rw+ but to get an extra 50Rw over a RB25 when i can get 100+ with a RB30 is not worth it...but if they make over 400RwKw+ i will be happy to buy one. Ps, thanks for all the help and time i see all the boys have kissed and made up too which is good
  20. The 34 coupe (GT-T/GT-R) is capable of holding a passenger and driver comfortably (im 6ft) and fit comfortably although when switching from my dad's Mitsubish Magna or my other car (Holden Commodore) i tend to notice a big difference and feel confined in the 34. Although over time you get used to that feeling (give or take a couple of weeks) and you begin to like it...going back to the bigger cars makes you wonder what all the rest of the room is really for? But if you have several passengers the 34 is horrible...i have taken a full car (5 people) and i will never do it again (in fact i never take anyone in the back at all), all the boys were over 6ft and it was just pure shit....not to mention the performance of the RB25DE declined immensley since it is a non turbo and could not cope with the extra weight. From what i know the R33 has alot more leg room (well it feels so) and the 4 Door 34 has more room obviously since it has those extra doors. the 32 is like the 34 in terms of interior space. Best room would be a 4 door version of any of the skylines or a 33 coupe model if your looking at 2 doors. Anyhow hope that helps out a bit... Edit: Didn't read your thread with the rear leg room just assumed by the topic name. I would not get a 34 for the rear leg room!!!!! its terrible..you can fit a asian midget (or a baby) if your lucky fairly well....thats about it...
  21. I've heard you can melt the limiters by travelling at the max speed (this being 180k) for at least 5 minutes at a stretch...the fun part would be finding a stretch of road that is suitable for 5 mins worth of flat out driving at 180Km/h...That overides them without having to buy a limiter defence cut thing. Or you can do that on a dyno I heard this from many people not just a few of em and a few people who have actually succeeded in doing so. So its worth giving a try i guess, just run your boost on low and gradually make your way up to the speed ona dyno and leave it there for as long as needed. Don't know how reliable this is since i havnt done it myself...but worth a try like i said....
  22. Umm....i think ill take the 2.8L stroker guys haha.... :S As for the GT-R thing over GT-T, later when i get more cash i'll just go and buy myself a 34 GT-R and keep it in the garage for those boys who think i should get one lol. I'll buy it and use it as a daily over my highly modded GT-T. Yes your right, its not about whos faster...i will have near all of my car's parts removed and swapped to make my car better than a GT-R (performance wise, not NAME wise). Why not get a GT-R you say? Why throw out a perfectly good GT-R bucket seat to replace it only with a Bride/Recaro/Sparco when i could throw out a GT-T seat and replace that instead? Why throw out a RB26DETT, or for that matter rebuild it when i can rebuild a RB25DET for the same performance i need and have the SAME relliability? Why replace the 6 piston brembo's (that are now 10 years old for that matter) for brand new 6 piston Project MU's with 380mm rotors? When i could replace my NON TURBO brake kit on my car front and back with Mu's!!?? Why take off perfectly good carbon fibre OEM hoods from V-Spec models to replace it with an A/M FRP version from Japan's best A/M dealers? When i could easily take off my alluminium heavy bitch GT-T bonnet? These options plus a billion other things that i am doing are why i did not buy a GT-R and rather a GT-T...not to mention its non turbo right now (hence im on p's, till the end of the year)...the safest option..and then i think the one with the most fun in it aswell (Personal opinion)...since i get to put every part i want in my car slowly...at my own pace...and learn about it in the process....i thought thats what "tunning" essentially is? More to the fact i thought thats what "Skyline" is...those Group A track cars wernt exactly stock boys Neither are most of the heavily tuned GT-R's out there... Not to mention a GT-R is still a "tuner" car at heart...it is still a platform for those to tune on if they desired....and i so do not have the money nor the heart to strip a GT-R to pieces, when i could do the same to a GT-T and know that the parts im replacing it with are generally all superior in every form and way. Or i could sell my car and buy that cheap Ferrari and pick up some girls even though im engaged lol.... Think you guys are missing the fact that i just wanted results...does 2.8L work well on the RB25DET's? (not RB26's...i know they are decent on them, forget price). So that being said...forget PRICE...forget GT-R and forget Ferrari and the guys who can afford them (whoever brought that shit up) and can ANYONE give me anymore specifics on the Tomei/HKS kits with the cooling channels for the RB25's??? in terms of dyno graphs, reliability issues..people who may have this kit (even on a RB26 owners with em on) If not you can continue your lil debate on here.. But essentially i think those who tune are on the right platform and those who want prestige...great machines from the box, the badge, the leatherette interiors....go buy your Porsche..i don't really care its not my department and never will be....
  23. Sounds like an inconvienience, but $950 odd bucks to readjust a problem on a car namely our "skylines" is a minor price to pay for a fk up if you ask me... I just forked out an extra 6K for a damn bodykit!!!! it doesnt even make my car perform better! Just cause of all the problems i have had through Middlemen/panel beaters...but i assure you it was never their faults. Just have to be careful when you buy and fit things to your machine....and always expect the worst in every instance, i'd be confident in saying your lucky you didnt blow your engine rather you just had a problem with the GT's... Always good to warn people though and make sure everyone is aware of this stuff... Edit: Yes you heard right...6 grand...EXTRA on top of the original 8K.....thats alot of cash....i coulda bought another fking GTT!
  24. LOL i seen some pretty weird statements on here.... I think what needs to be at hand is him and me (the GTT boys with no GT-R) one day when we have our drag days you put out GTT's up against your GT-R's and that goes for track too! Then at the end of the day this will be settled and whoever comes out the winner wether it be a GTT or a GT-R can say..."well hey its stil a GT-R" Im sure the majority of GT-R's out there are brilliant and hey its one of my favourite cars of all time! And if someone offered me a GT-R id take it! I'd bend over and recieve payment that way for one! But hey...in terms of build price etc...they have the same shell blah blah so i chose to go for the GT-T....and over time as the quality and the parts come together...the more fun i have with it and the more i grow with my car. As soon as its finished i don't think there will be many GT-R's i would rather own than my GT as the other guy stated...and hes quite well in saying so...he got his car up to the level he desired and spent what he wanted to without having what everyone else has....and he did it himself, i dont see whats wrong with that at all other than the fact it turned into a yuelling match between whats better and whats not. Anyhow my goal is to deliver 500RwKw to the rears and have an amazing track/drag car set up (not too much into the drifting, but im sure with that much power ill be drifting down the drag anyhow ) That being said this thread can go on forever and ever...Skyline owners arguing among skyline owners looool....why cant it just be all our skylines are good we all have the same idea behind them and will not settle for a holden commodore (even though i have one of them too ) lol
