  2. Got the Cross Factory kit here original and hand crafted in Japan. Got a thread selling em cause they costly to put on and ran out of cash after getting em all the way here so it might be of interest to you. Although your after a 4 door kit...the front guards should fit no problem if you wanna buy em off me. threads in the sale section PM me if interested.
  3. Haha! Like i said the other day i creamed my pants when i heard this!!! Hope it all works out and you have to post up those Dyno Sheets and what not when its all done! Hopefully when you come down to Vic if your still going for Autosalon, you'll have heavy competition from us by then since most of the boys will be off their p's and ready to build aswell Ps. all my mechanics are waiting to see this like i said so hurry up and get to it!!!
  4. XR6 turbo's and F6 Typhoons...... the next VL turbo's, everyonee has one, and the sad part is they are doing better than our skylines. We pour 10K into our engines for intercoolers and ecu's and things to get it running right. They spend 10K to get a whole package making excess of 300+RwKw lol... From the few of my mates who have em the only main problem seems to be the gearbox so far, most of them convert o AU boxes since they are stronger, one of my mates has a 2 speed powerglide and the other a rebuilt 4 speed auto to hold all 350RwKw of his XR6 Turbo. They are bloody quick with a good tune and since they are auto they really pull hard off the line with those stall converters....sorta jealous that they are cheap to run in comparison to a Skyline but id never leave my car! But its good to hear you gave it to the Typhoon since they have built bottom ends anyhow But like everyone says be careful! haha im on Green P's too and got stuck with an N/A R34 just to be safe have to fully rebuild her now since im comming off Your a lucky bastard don't play with fire your lucky your getting away with it so far!
  5. Hey guys, searched the threads and can't find anything specific, but i am looking at building a RB26/30 or possibly worst case RB25/30 and want to know how engineering the car works. I have a ER34 Non turbo Skyline (1998 model 2 door) and want to get a series 2 VL bottom end RB30 from a N/A VL to prep, i want to couple it with a 26 top end that may possibly be from a R33 or even a R32 and want to know the issues involved in doing this. I have heard that you need to have a engine model specific to the year of your car or higher to engineer a car for road use in Victoria so you don't get defected etc etc. How do people get around this problem? Do they not register their cars with the new engine blocks etc? Would the block be the only thing that counts or does the head count for year of issue aswell? I have seen GT-R's (BNR34) using RB30 bottom ends and R33's even so im just curious. Just want to know things like how to know the block number is not stolen and is safe to buy, (where do i go? eg: Vic roads) where to get the block checked for cracks and problems? (xray scanning) Just want to know the ins and outs of secuirty issues involed and how to keep the car as legal as possible while doing the build up. Cheers guys, Josh
  6. Very interested in top end, willing to buy just need to find out how engineering it to a R34 goes, since its from a 33, that and want to do a rb30 bottom end from a series 2 VL so not sure how engineering certs go on that since they are both older models than my crapbox. If you know anything about that or can lighten the issue up for me id be 99% willing to buy the top off you and maybe other things depending on what ill need for set up, might be interested in the sump aswell if you message me. PM me if you want to sell. [email protected] if you want to speak to me personally or email me. Thanks, Josh
  7. My mate is interested and wants to buy it off you. PM me if you want a sale. He just wants your mobile number so he can talk to you first. Cheers, Josh Ps. selling wide kit aswell if anyone wants to buy (rear is pending sale) front available still if someone wants to split. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...rs-t267528.html
  8. Im not keen on breaking them up since they are a set, but if you definately will buy the rear fenders then i can split them (knowing that the front fenders are part of the kit). PM me and i can msg you my mobile number and details Alternatively my email address is: [email protected]. You can send me an email or speak to me personally on msn, its totally up to you. If someone is willing to buy the whole lot before we negotiate then they will get first preference as i want to sell the whole thing. That OR if you know anyone that will want the front guards and that way i can split it up, or if someone just wants the front on here that way it can be split up too. If not then in the meantime between now and whenever you decide to buy it i will split this kit up for you and you will have first preference on the split....if that makes any sense. lol
  9. Haha ahh damn, well if they don't get sold theyll be here in my garage so you have all the time in the wolrd if no one buys em. There are alot of tight asses out there that won't spend the money for something like this so they wont even bother with it...I guess if i get the money i may try fitting it later but as for now its on sale. I know alot of people want to do the wide fenders so i guess this appeals to a few people. The worst part about this is that after all the research n shit i've done, someone else is going to have it on their 34 and thats whats gonna upset me the most! I guess thats life though...can't be jealous! lol
  10. Hey guys, just letting people know im selling my delicious wide quarter panels front and rear on the sale section of SAU. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...rs-t267528.html Details are on there if anyone is interested since more people will come here before they go to the sale section. If anyone is interested vist that link and then PM me if your interested. I have been researching this for ages and after getting everything and nearly going ahead with my car i have ended the modifications through no job and no moneeeey So these panels are useless ot me sitting around and am willing to get rid of them to sum lucky person who wishes to grab em! Check em out, Thanks guys.
  11. As most on the forums know, i have been looking into wide body parts for quite a while. About 6 months ago i purchsed a set of rear wide fenders and front fenders alike. Both these items are genuine Cross Factory examples purchased from RHD Japan. As of currently i do not have a job and therefore my plans have come to a major hault with my car. I purchased these panels with great difficulty and expense and unfortunately now have to sell them. Both the front set and rear set are hand crafted at the Cross Factory workshop in Japan and are made to order. I have the recipts if needed somewhere and the original box it was shipped in to my house still. The fenders can be found on this website: http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/Cross-Fact...ne-2-Door-51709# Front fenders are the same width as that of a BNR 34 and fit with minor fabrication and can be done at most panel beaters. Rear fenders are 30mm wider than that of a BNR34 fender and are quite wide and very agressive. The fabrication needed may be a bit more complicated and needs GTR side skirts, or a well made (original a/m GTT side skirt) fabricated to fit. The price for the fenders are as follows: Front Fenders: $1450.00 (Unpainted FRP Hand Crafted) - Will get pictures soon Rear Fenders: $1650.00 (Unpainted FRP Hand Crafted) - Will get pictures soon At this time i am not willing to break them up as a set but if forced to and not sold, i will. Price will not drop so don't wait for it to fall. Worst case these will sit and wait in my garage until i can afford to refit them. Please reply on the forum and do not PM me since i very rarely check my inbox and come on here. all replies will be sent to my email so i can come back here and check back. Once again this is a very rare set of kit and comes at a decent price since there is no shipping and hassels of putting in credit card details bank transfers and waiting months until they arrive. If you want a unique ride to set you apart from every other R34 out there, these fenders will do just that!
  12. I don't get why people are going off about this, how its defectable etc. I understand that if a copper sees the "dark black" tint (and is a tight ass) and decided to pull you over, and you manage to show him its ADR approved, he cannot do shit, but i DO agree that he will most likely look like a dumb ass afterward and try and get you for something else. Hence on a Skyline forum with the majority of cars being either a 'Skyline' of some sort of Nissan import/tuner, we all probably have some sort of defectable part or system on our car even if its dead stock! That being said i don't like any of the colours other than the 'controversial' black tint. It does look nice and its suttle, it isnt jet black like that silver R33 that looks like every panel put on it has been done cheaply and tacky. The way i see it if you think it just adds to the list of trouble you could possibly encounter with the police, than don't even consider it, but its not a bad idea, and it can boost the potential looks of certain models when done professionaly. I would definately be interested if i purchsed another set of new 34 lights for my car Hope the sales and promoting go well for you!
  13. I love Ferrari F40's i'd take one any day over an F430. Modern or not he's right, it has character and appeal. In 20-30 years time that may be the case for the F430 when its succesor comes out whatever it may be. ' But like it or not you are right this is a skyline forum and to ask a quesiton like that means your gonna get a heavy response inclined towards liking the GT-R, as most people on these forums aspire to own or have one already. That being said, i have seen the 370Z personally driving next to me on Princess Highway, (it was silver) and must say it is ALOT better in real life than in the pictures. Overall against the 350Z its a great improvement and im sure Nissan milk it out as as much as they could like the 350Z slowly tweaking and tunning the engine for that extra 20HP and 10-20NM of torque it recieves in previous models. But if you asked me would you take a 240Z, a 350Z or hey even a 370Z, i would say the 240Z, because it purely is characteristic, it has balls to back itself, and simply it looks stunning. I find it hard pressed to compare the 240Z to that of a BNR34 (since i love GT-R's) because it looks THAT good! But if you told me like you are now what would i rather, a 370Z or a R34 GT-R. Well i have the option to buy either of them and you know what? Stuff both of them im going to build my own car. I have an ENR34 non turbo 2 door and i'd rather spend MORE money building my car from the ground up than buying a 320HP monster out the factory, simply because it doesnt have character. Yes it has history, but never until its worn in and driven will it have character and in a car thats what i want. Other than that, factory to factory, if both cars were brand new i'd take the R34 GT-R simply because i like tunning and will find it easier to tune the GT-R (power wise) over the 370Z. But if i was after practicality, precise driving, comfort and more of an everyday car, i'd take the 370Z because it doesn't come off as a "hardcore" tuner something people over time won't look twice at. Depends what its for really. Everyone is to their own opinion, so that being said would you take a 370Z or a 350Z possibly even the 240 or the older models which are similar? it shouldn't be compared to the 34, the 34 should be compared to the 35.
  14. Haha Fast and the Furious is awesome! I mean if you take this movie seriously you got to be a joke yourself. Whenever one of my mates sees me, nearly everytime i go to him "whats the retail on one of those things?" he'd go when i see him in his Ford EL...."More than you can afford pal, FORD EL!" *revs gas powered pile of shit* Its classic, great movie with heaps of laughs and gags...i mean seriously anyone that is on these forums and doesnt like the movie is weird. Not only is it corny, when the movie comes out most of the time the actual literal market value rises on our cars so most peeps that arnt in the know how or comming up from a younger audience see a Skyline and go i want one...you can guess what every kid is gonna want ythe same thing....Bang...your R33 that was 15K is now 17K Ching ching! One thing id like to see is more techincal talk in the movie and engine talk, but then again that wont appeal for the general audience that goes to see cars smashing, doing stunts etc etc, people wanna see blue and white flames come out the back of your car when you press a button and have a giant scuba diving sized NOS tank in your passenger seat. Its all part of the fun, it inspires people to make great show cars, it inspires people to join the automotive scene, it gets people back on the wagon and talking. Why this thread itself wouldnt be a hot topic if not the case...
  15. Haha yeh i realise, the 4 stud thing is a problem but ill get around that...i think you need the passion to want to do this, noone in the right mind wants to take this thing head on ever, so i decided fk the rest i aint gonna go buy a GT-R, anyone can buy a GT-R so ill just build it, that way ill have a car with plenty of character (my opinion anyhow, others will see it differently) But its ben done and can be done again! And yeh i'd def have to up the brakes and all the rest of that crap, itll be a hand full but i guess if i get something like a XR6 turbo in the meantime or even a GTT skyline to get bout in while i do this up ill be alright.
  16. Hey all just felt happy to say after all the looking around and months andeven years of reasearch, i am finally going to build my crappy 25GT non turbo 34 into the beat it should have been when i got it. RB26 conversion along with some wide panels and a few good mods here and there. should take a long while to finish the project, since theres alot of money and time involved as people know. But i cbf with buying a GT-R even though its the smarter option. Anyhow just was happy to mention it since i havn't talked for a while. One question though, does anyone know how the GETRAG 6 speed gearbox will fit up to a non turbo? has anyone done a conversion on anything of a similar scale?? I need to do more research on that part but other wise its a 2.8L Stroker bad boy from Tomei or HKS or the RB30 bottom end...either one or. Wish me luck!!!!! Cause im gonna need every helping hand i can get
  17. Ey Doski you were there??! I didn't see you or your car... Ah well theres always the next meet up ey Ps. Great photos PhatBoy, really got some good shots of individual cars and the whole line up in the carpark.
  18. Hey mate i posted in my thread i made to your offer, just saw the car looks great on the outside and has plenty of potential and definately is a good platform to rebuild the engine on for a decent price, but looking at the interior and its not as good as i hoped it to be. (im guessing the camera may play a part in that and it looks better in person?) Looking for something a bit cleaner like the 34 i currently have (interior wise). Price is quite reasonable, i hope you find someone that will buy it, sounds like it drives well. Either way i dont have anything more than 26K. Ps. Ever thought of selling your dog and kids to keep the car? lol
  19. How much?, have pics of it i can look at for now? In Poland and i don't come home until 21st of Jan. If your serious, and are selling it and havnt by 21st, gime a call just pm me and ill send you my mobile number. As you probably know i am in S.E suburbs (Chaddy). Cheers.
  20. Sorry for the late reply, thanks guys, yeh i am having a good look at it...and might reconsider this one since it is interstate to begin with...
  21. Thanks mate, yeh ill probably do that, but does Vic RCW's make you remove the Carbon hood etc??
  22. Hi, i have a question about Victoria's road worthy certificates in relation to NSW ones. I found a GTT 34 in NSW that im interested in buying but it has no RW cert and im from VIC. I dont know what the difference is and what they check in the cars that make it road worthy. The car has things like boost controllers and a carbon gtr hood blah blah are things like those still able to pass RW tests? Anyhow someone else is checking the car for me since im overseas right now so i just wanted to make sure. Ps. my girlfriend is a retard and keeps annoying me so its good to speak english to other people for a change
  23. The fact is none of the GTR or Skyline spoilers in general have any drag coefficient, therefore meaning they are just ornamental (for looks) The 9 second car you talk about having an adjustable spoiler is a fair call, but how many GTR/Skyline owners have 9 second cars on the strip yet alone the streets? More to the point the spoilers performance (stock parts) don't do anything unless you are travelling at over 200+km/h (id maybe drop that even to 180km's). The downforce on normal driving would not be noticable at all, and for RWD skylines (GTT's GTST's etc), it will probably fk them up even moreso having less weight at the back. If you had an adjustable wing that shaved near 1 second off your time quarter mil,e then like some people have said, your car would have been gutted, roll caged up, and stripped of near everything that makes a GTR a GTR. A drag car is a drag car, not a road car. A spoilerless GTR therefore comes under taste and preference. The stock spoiler on a GTR wouldn't make ANY difference in fact for road use it would deter your car. That being said, how many people do you see going 200+ on our roads?
  24. Guess i could wait 15 months and get a GT-R LOL....i really was intrested in building the car...RB26 alone the N! NUR is 11,200 and GETRAG tran was 10K so i know theres alot more work and alot more money etc...i just wante dot know what was needed but anyhow probably logically thinking it would be better to wait But ill have a few looks n check what i can do i guess....
  25. Hi all, As i mentioned in another thread, i have finished purchasing the majority of main styling parts for my R34, since i am a P plater this was my first and only real option to modding my car that i had. But i have now only 15 months left on my P's (still seems far) but i am moving onto the performance side. The super costly performance side... I recently got my hands on pricing for the RB26DETT NUR N1 engine and GETRAG 6 speed Transmission and was quite happy with the pricing (even with our dodgy dollar). These two specific parts are no longer parts i desire and wish i had, but are now on the list of purchases for the next series of developments on my 34. The problem is that i don't even have a GT-T platform (25GT) so alot of things need to be overhauled, replaced and fabricated. My question is can anyone and everyone name me as MANY parts as comes to your head in order for this fine piece of machinery to run in my engine bay, without hassels. Im talking about mounts etc, lil bits and fidgety pieces, what ecu's you would need etc, the reason i post this in the general area is become some of these parts arnt specific to Skylines and can be everyday car running parts, since im not to bright on the know how with general engine parts. I do realise i need a new Suspension set, new+bigger Brake Kit. Intercooler, Turbo's, Exhaust etc. What are the intricates that i am missing and the fine ones too? Thanks in advance. This is a big step for me and my wallet...so all the help i can get would be great. (Ps searching aint working for me admins, so i can't even check basic stuff) on other threads, although i would like it if i could have this open so i can jsut list everything down people mention here Sincerely, Josh. P.s Mechanics, GT-R owners etc will be extremely useful for my questions
