  1. did 27 psi for 1.988 60ft and 25 psi for 2.045 60ft run...am only planning to use 24-27psi for these tires
  2. Am using organic clutch still - unlike many with the ceramic sprung, etc...am not making enough power for them and like the drivability of the organic. I think good tire warming may have a bit to do with it too although they are radials. I will post my time slip up soon.
  3. Oh, mine was the black R33 four door by the way
  4. I was there on Saturday NA_R33. Is yours the ares speed one half done?
  5. shotgun a ride in your car slip
  6. Hey Erin. I run Federals too! See cheap is not always bad...I was quite annoyed when I bought the car, but am starting to like them more. Might even buy them again.
  7. Quite a few people have said that but NO ONE has said what other options there were, seems like no one wants to say!? What's the deal, do you know IanH?
  8. LMAO.....RNS...you got everything aftermarket, I don't think you car counts here
  9. MFX...if you run radials that low, the centre of the tire (which you see from behind) actually starts to raise up and the edges form two "bicycle tires"...you will end up with a not as much traction say as at 19psi. - Drag slicks are built to take 12 psi while road tyres are built for higher pressure, I think at least. I am using some cheap federals I got with the car 235/40 on 18in. Was running them at 27 psi for 1st run then 25 for sec run. My car was dynoed 192 rwkw by Gavin Woods (and ran a 13.2) but since then I have changed the tune a fair bit to get times down
  10. what is the track like?

It does...except the base maps (fuel and ignition) are quite far from idea (even more than the standard computer). E.g. at full load it runs as rich as 9.5:1...and you'll have difficulty getting more than 250km out of a tank. Before taking it to a mechanic, you can fix most of the map so that the mechanic doesn't have to spend another 1.5 hrs changing the numbers to more ideal ones (which he will fine tune on a dyno anyway)...could save you some money
  12. So what exactly does braided lines do for you? Is it just increased pedal feel or better braking as well - wouldn't it be cheaper to just get brake cylinder brace as first step?
  13. I think i have ended up spending the same since I bought a FMIC and Apexi PFC (both can be got thru Nengun.siteblast.com for a total of $2500) but I didn't get the following parts listed in first post: * Diff Cradle kit or 'pineapples' , the Whiteline kit No. KCA349. * Ogura Lightwieght flywheel 4.8kgs. * Ceramic puck sprung clutch and stock pressure plate * Wrapped turbo to intercooler pipe (DEI thermal tape). did [email protected] on road tires.....found the PFC better base (although I understand you did swap emanage for SAFC)
  14. Heeeeeeeeeeey!! You will never believe it hey. I was sittin' in my car idling away, as you do, at my units just out in the guest car park when the white R33 pulls in again. They drove into one of the parks and pulled out their cigs and had a smoke waiting for the car to cool down. Then they hop out and me still sitting in my car, I yell out 'oi!', and the guy comes over and we start taking about the greatest gift to mankind, skylines. He isn't signed onto Skylines Australia but has perused the site a few times and has only had his skyline for about a week. Anyways, I told him about the cruise this saturday and he seems pretty keen. His names Luke and if he comes on Saturday, I'm sure you guys will make him feel very welcome

hungry6...have heard good things about CNJ motorsport as well (although I didn't go there)... I was quoted $550 - $650 for tuning -> that is always only for full throttle tune and everyday economy WILL be crap. But most tuners can fix that up with road tuning, albeit for another $50 - $100. they will all say heaps of time 'plugging in numbers with fussy h/c' (about $150 of cost) If you want PM me you details and I can do base map with you.
  16. yes the R34 GTR wasn't too happy with his run on Wed I don't think. No i did not notice the R32 GTR had Federals! Well there you go Were they Semi slicks or road tires...if you noticed. Mick51...had no idea that is what happened! Just looked strange the way you took off, with Nittos though you will cane, maybe even a sub-12.4. I got your burnout on digital camera vid and will drop round monday for you guys to load it up onto the website.
  17. cheap ones which I got with the car Federals 235/40 on 18 inch at 25 psi
  18. Got some footage of Jay racing Mick at Willowbank Sat (9/8/03)...but don't have webspace to load it, will get it up soon though...what did you get last run Mick when you ran against Jay?? I was aiming for a flat 13.1. 60ft - 1.988 ET - [email protected] mph then after a bit more tuning (or fiddling, whichever you want to call it), realed off a 60ft - 2.045 ET - [email protected] MODS: Pod and exhaust FMIC Apexi PFC, base tune by Gavin Woods then I fiddled with final tune ooh, and homemade boost controller Maybe a little more time to be had still - wouldn't mind a 12.8...actually wouldn't mind an 11 second run. Yeah, like the sound of the 11 better, stuff the 12.8
  19. Tried some trippy photography of the R34 GTR.
  20. Good to see Shy 32 out again running her car 8-)
  21. And R11NZ's car!.....and he said no one took a photo of it
  22. Another shot of of white R32
  23. R32...Motul stickers on it :-) The kind guy let me borrow his helmet for a run as mick was late. Was doing 14.5 - 15.5's i think
