  2. a few will be going to morgan park early on sunday so not sure about timing
  3. can get new bilsteins adjustables for $5k according to HPI! 8-) Bargin mate
  4. Race brakes are good - I have them on my car, but with more ponies, I think BDA will recommend galfa or Frodos (however you spell them). Not sure where they are in ACT, am QLD here. They are s'pose to be high end with V8 supercars, like Endless, but cost up to $100 less
  5. Is your rear muffler straight thru? I have two mufflers - rear one has an S bend in it to help keep down noise, but have set it up so I can take off the rear one at track for less back pressure. If both are straight thru, prolly not much power advantage removing either, (but will sound heaps good) - that is if mid one is like a hot dog, apparently, if it's really big, turbulence may be removed if you take if off and there will be more power there.
  6. many people mount it in that cradle just in front of the centre storage and behind of the gear stick/handbrake...take off in first, quick change to second, hand follows back to switch and changes to high boost - is the idea I think.

  12. yeah.....the tires the aim was to leave just enough tread to get home
  13. well when you stage, leave it in 2nd gear and when the lights turn green, rev it up and dump the clutch in 2nd gear and wheelspin yourself it nirvana! Simple If you bog, dip the clutch and try again.
  14. the reason why the times were so slow and speed was so fast was I was trying out 400R's Bridgestone 'Grid' something 205/55 16's which had been sitting in his garage for near on a year and were cheap and hard For all the runs I started in 1st gear, I had too much spinning in 1st and 2nd gear - I resorted to practising the art of tire warming and 2nd gear race starts After that last warm up, the tires were down to the metal band and the rest of the tread was smearing like glue - but it was well worth it!! :) Erin - I would love to get hold of that vid off you sometime - you coming to sprints tomorrow?? I am hoping to end up running 12.8's with good road tires and after fixing boost drop 8-(
  15. Slip......could the LVMA at Mt Cotton be used as a 2nd skid pan...making a day of more variety so that we practise drifting on all different corner types? It would certainly help us be ready for more real life situations 8-)
  16. Slip.....Shot gun behind you. Just remember you heard it first from me, here.
  17. when will the next cruise be? After how last time turned out, I am sure there will be more people there next time.
