What are cover notes?

I've driven R32's and R34's with more of an induction note than my own R33, which has FMIC, A'Pexi power intake, etc.

If you're in Melbourne and you got your license prior to July 2007, you are not allowed to drive a 'high-powered vehicle'. To determine if your car is a 'high-powered vehicle', use the allowed power-to-weight ratio. 125kw / 1000kg. So if you are driving a stock gross weight R33 GTS-T, the power-to-weight ratio would be about 135kw / 1000kg, exceeding the limit. However, you must also consider other weight; passengers, fuel, etc. But either way, most cops aren't going to know. With insurance companies? As long as you have the money, they're happy.

The only time you'll probably want to replace it is when it starts to look a bit aged. These should last you 20k kms before you need to clean them.

Leave the cable where it is (attached to the AFM - Air Flow Meter) and just bolt the pod on to it. The A'Pexi Power Pod is a direct bolt-on to R33 AFM's (nice sucking note too). If you want something else, i.e. HKS mushroom, then you will also need to buy an adapter. If you want to get more technical, you can displace the AFM to in-between the intercooler piping. Though some may say this isn't the best idea.

I've had the TomTom ONE XL since it's release early this year. I am happy to say it is the best GPS unit I have ever used, in terms of accuracy, ease of use and interface-appeal. However, it's battery doesn't seem to last all that long. I usually have it stuck in the car-charger. BTW, I picked up the unit for $499 when it came out! (RRP $599)

I just fitted my A'Pexi pod. I will buy a heatshield for it soon. The question is... Should I reset my ECU? Btw, my AFM was super-clean already

Thanks for the swift helpful answer gazza. Another question: What should I use to help me loosen the bolts that are holding the stock airbox in place? To the chassis and to the AFM. I can't take them off for the life of me.

Will this cause much stress/harm to my car? I'm only removing the stock airbox because I want the engine bay to look neater, and putting in the aftermarket pod for a louder induction noise. Stupid, maybe. But please answer the question. Thanks.

So I was driving home today in the blizzard-like rain, and my wipers decide to stop working. After 15-30 seconds they would activate again momentarily, only to stop again. This happened over and over. Could it be just a simple fuse problem? I think someone is trying to murder me, because I discovered a weird banging noise on the way home; it turns out that my front-right wheel was going to come off. There were only three bolts left in place and one was so loose you could twist it off with your fingers.

I guess mine is not a 1998 model. Thanks the for good information SMR33.

Dear SMR33, Is this FAST program 100% accurate? My Skyline was imported and complied with a build date of "June 1998". However, I had a feeling this was inaccurate as I remember reading somewhere that R33's finished production in March 1998? Someone please confirm this for me. Thanks.

4-Cylinder: two places quoted me for $80 and took around half an hour. 6-Cylinder: three places quoted me $120 and took about 45 minutes. You could get a kit for around $50 and do it yourself.

It doesn't include on-road costs. I paid for a full year of rego plus a bit of stamp duty. Not bad! Amounted to less than $1000. Still waiting for someone to FAST my VIN.

I'm not sure. I've had mixed opinions. But I do think that the 40th anniversary edition came with a different front bar and GTR wing as well as interior differences.

Here's something I haven't seen mentioned. I have a 98 R33 GTS-T Series II. It came with factory sun visors that are a red/brown colour.
