  1. Thats really cool, but instead of it saying Nissan it should say LAME! hehehe soz I could'nt resist In all seriousness, I dont like the wording of Nissan, I'm sure members here could come up with different words to use that would be a lot cooler than Nissan. I wouldn't mind one that says 260RS
  2. Nothing wrong with that mate, as my friends car demonstrates. Thats a Holden ute with a 2JZ under the hood, that we tested at Calder a couple of weeks back. Pulled a 12.39 which aint too shabby. LOL we even getting a sticker made up for the rear that says "Powered by Toyota" for a laugh
  3. I've owned a few cars over the years. Holdens, Fords, a Mazda, a Valiant, a 300ZX even a R33 GTS-t. The year was 1991 and whilst watching Bathurst I seen the car of my dreams - R32 GTR. That for me was the pinnacle of motoring greatness. If only I could have one of those, as I day dreamed ... Years later, MANY years later I finally got to own one. That not being enough, I quickly went to work on it turning it into the car of my dreams. It was everything I thought it would be and more. I honestly thought, after everything I've owned and driven over the years, that the R32 GTR would be my only and last car I'd ever own. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE the R32GTR, but Times change, driving changes, things change I guess. Whilst still owning the R32 I bought a RS4 - why? I needed something with more space, a daily ride that would suit my needs. Just over a week later someone asked me if I'd sell it to them, and I did. In less than a week driving the RS4 around I quickly came to the conclusion if this thing had a RB26 under the hood WOW! what a vehicle it would be. I didn't even know about the 260RS ... Searching Japan for a new RS4 and I happened to stumble apon the 260RS. It was like 1991 again After some more searching I found what I was looking for and commited to purchase. So then I owned a R32GTR and a 260RS. The R32GTR is no longer mine - sold! now thats saying something. If I was rich enough to keep both would I ? Sure would. But I had to choose between the two and I chose the 260RS OVER a R32GTR. Why? Well I guess MANY would be scratching their head about now thinking WTF? And if someone had of wrote this post and I was reading it I would also be thinking WTF? But its a testament to just how damn sweet the Stagea really is. There is no such thing as a perfect car. Every vehicle ever made has its faults (with exception to the Bughatti Veyron) But wet dreams aside, no car is perfect. Even a R32 GTR. Even a Stagea. But when wieghing up the pro's and con's I chose the 260RS. And I do not regret it one little bit. I'm going to make a bold statement - My Stagea IS going to be my last car. (OK I'll confess, if the Bughatti Veyron slips in value to the $50K mark I'll buy one) but in all seriousness, I think I've found driving nirvana. So wet dreams aside, Ferraris, Porsches and Veyrons, is your Stagea IT for you? I'm not talking about mods, sheeesh I'm gonna be fugging about with mine for the next ....however many years I can find stuff to do to it. But I aint looking for anything else. I think I've found my LAST car.
  4. THAT I LIKE! It may not be everyones idea of what a wagon should be, but I think that is one cool looking vehicle. Love the rims too.

    My New S2 Stag

Nice car mate If you dont mind me asking, what did you get it for? $$$$
  6. I imported mine myself when the AUD dollar was on par with the Yen. The $30K I paid (all up including shipping and compliance) was a dead set steal imho. Esp for a 260RS with N1 block and N1 turbos, full body kit and a bunch of aftermarket extra's.
  7. Hey guys, Just after some info on the Stagea rear windscreen tint. For some unknown reason my rear windscreen was tinted (thats how I imported it) and am having it re-done on Friday. Is the rear window on the stagea as dark as the side windows? or a little lighter? I've tried searching the net for pics, plenty there, but its so hard to judge the actual tint from pictures as some look really dark and some dont. This is a Series 1 btw. Thanks for your help. Cheers.
  8. I love the front end of the M35, always have, that beefy grill and aggressive look, but the rear? I gotta say its BUTT ugly
  9. Here mate http://hioctaneracing.com.au/eshop/product...roducts_id=1048 And its completely aluminum
  10. I reckon some cars are bloody cursed. No matter how much you spend, what you have fixed, as soon as you think its all good, something else stuffs up. I speak from experience when I had a Ford FX Ghia many years ago - god damn that thing was a lemon. My advice - local church, take some Holy water and sprinkle the car with it. If green pea soup comes out of the exhaust, RUN!
  11. I recently got a nice aftermarket GReddy radiator in my 260RS. Cost was around $1200 fitted. Its a lot bigger than the standard radiator.
  12. Yeah 2nd that for Importmonster as I recently found a full set of 260RS floor mats for mine. /sits in anticipation for his ship to come in ....
  13. That posses an interesting question. Do you, or anyone consider the 260RS version of the Stagea a GTR? Its an interesting one, in that sure its not a GTR as released by Nissan. (I guess the argument ends there) but a RB26, GTR running gear and so on, why couldn't it be rated as a GTR? Not geuine of coarse, but a GTR wagon? Could the 260RS be rated as a GTR wagon? And if so, is it in bad taste to put GTR badges on a 260RS? with or without R34 front end conversion. I own a 260RS, and no, I havn't put GTR badges on it but I do consider it a GTR, and if anyone asks I tell them its a GTR wagon. Right/wrong or somewhere in between? ....
  14. But ....but .... its only single turbo. If that had a RB26 under the hood, I'd be impressed. Dunno why, but I've never been a fan of the Bayside Blue myself. The only thing that I like is the R34 front conversion. So tempted to do it myself, but being a perfectionist, I wouldn't go the fiberglass job, it would have to be the real thing. Maybe a R34 wreck (rear ended) and use the genuine R34 front. Its fun to dream
  15. Sad for your loss. Its kind of the opposite for me, as I just got a 260RS and sold my R32GTR. But in these difficult times I can not afford to keep both. Full comp insurance, rego and upkeep ie. quality parts, oils and so forth makes it impossible. If anything good came from it, the sale has allowed me to purchase a R33GTS-t for the missus (its a surprise gift) and we'll get rid of her Bluebird SSS. I'm sure your not alone in selling your vehicle, as I'm sure there are many people having little choice but to part with their pride and joy for something more manageable, cheaper insurance, run and service. Maybe if things pick up again in the future you can buy another one? I know if my fortunes change, I'll have a collection of GTRs 32, 33 and 34, with the 260RS in my 4 car garage, that I'll build right next to my mansion.
  16. That's a very clean looking vehicle. Nice

    Vic Cruise

It will be good to meet you guys for sure. I've met a few guys from SAU at Auto Salon, and a meet at the Yarra with the R32GTR. Though I dont remember seeing anyone with a Stagea there ....? /gets wax and Armor All ready
  18. Yep the exact same thing happened to me. I had an RS4 for 1 week and sold it to a customer.
  19. Hey Aaron We chatted recently via email about the Stagea grill you linked me (Michael with the 260RS) Great to see you've joined the Stagea community. I can vouch he is a nice guy, not just because he owns a Stagea Cheers.
  20. But half the fun is doing it yourself, with the stuff you want, the way you want it. I'd hate to buy a car with everything already done - then what? Sure you'd enjoy it and all, but after a while it just becomes another car. I'm forever searching the net for idea's, hard to find parts and things to make my ride better. I hope it never ends too. One day when I'm old, maybe then I'll buy a Toyota or something, as is and leave it alone.

    Commo Losers

Geez if smashing your pride and joy isn't bad enough, now you've got to deal with uninsured people with no money, and by the sounds of it, trying to shift the blame onto you ... Unbelievable!

    Commo Losers

Terrible news - at least your not injured though, and you have insurance. I hope your car isn't a right off and you get enough cash from the smash to R34 the front end. I cant see why not, you've already got the rims to match.
  23. I'll be very surprised if you see a cent of your deposit money. Sounds like a scam from the get go ( I really do hope I'm wrong) but it seems, from the story you've told, he has played it along to the point of a face to face meet, and the jigs up.
  24. That is without a doubt the worst nightmare, besides being stolen and never seen again - but geez how did your grill survive the impact?
