I had a 200Gb A-Ram SSD with Sandforce Controller that shit itself after 10 mths in my office machine....................they've got a long way to go with these new drives cause I've never had a SATA or even an Eide drive die on me since Win95 1st Edition

That's a pet hate of mine Brad (Lane Splitting)..........not to say that I've never done it, but not these days. I've seen idiots splitting lanes at 60+kph when traffic is either stationary or at snail's pace ............If I'm stationary and I see someone "Splitting" from a distance, he doesn't get past my open door now!! I've also found that the saying; "Loud Pipes Save Lives" is very true...........I don't get cut off anywhere near as much these days as what I did with my Suzy 1100 Ricer Oh and Steve, good idea there bud.............should be mandatory on all new cars and trucks sold.

I'm thinking nothing will happen to the driver if and when they catch up with him. Apparently there was no contact between the 2 vehicles so all you've got is one witness (that may hate Skyline drivers) that can't give a rego number and can't even recall whether it was silver or burgundy (although highway camera vision will clear that up). Proving the guy was cut off by the Skyline will be a 1000 to 1 longshot. Feel for the rider's family but they've got nothing at this stage unless camera footage comes out of the Skyline's behavior moments earlier. EDIT: It's not even a "Hit and Run" technically

That's fine, and that's why I said, based on your sentiments towards your current setup, you'd be happier IMO with a -5 setup which is pretty much the next step up from where you are now. Spending $$ on -7's will not see much (maybe a smidge) difference to your current setup.................R34 N1's are a different story again though (they sit somewhere in between your current setup and the -5's if my memory serves me correctly) Hope that helps a little............good night all

Ben, who is feeding you this rubbish............try running -5's (with or without stock boost) and see how they run without a tune....they def have different trim and comp size hence your AFR's will be all over the shop You're requirement for a tune is based on AFR"S (in this case) not just boost.........I'm not even referring to boost Cam gear adjusting will affect your valve timing.............a good tune will give you a nice balance between correct AFR's and ignition timing

Thanks for that Dave Ben, go to Garrett site and you'll find the info I've given you re order of size is correct Dave's graph shows the -5 with a .6 Comp cover as opposed to your .42.........just one of the differences.......not to mention smaller Comp trim and smaller Inducer

Answer to 1st question 2860 being accepted or not is irrelevant as they would probably not pass EPO tests and furthermore, they are useless if you can't tune without a replacement ECU or piggyback, etc......which is def illegal. Dale would be a better authority on this but I'm pretty sure they regularly remove passenger's side kick panels if they have any suspicion of tampering. 2nd question: -7's def smaller than -5 as above comparison to HKS..............Garrett generally cheaper than HKS equivalent hence their popularity If writeoff has 340 atw with SS turbos, I wanna see dyno graphs and what supporting mods he's got cause most guys on here only manage that with -5's

Based on your sentiments towards the N1's, you won't be happy with the -7's........so as stated above, -5's are your next step.........-10's would be way too big for what you want. -7's = similar to HKS GTSS -10 = similar to HKS GTRS -5 = somewhere in between the 2 even though the numbers are not uniform (blame Garrett) Nisstune is not maybe a defect........it's def a defect if they come across it. -5's are physically bigger than stock (not by much) so it depends how astute the Regency bloke is

Ben, not sure where you're getting your info from bud. Firstly, who told you that -5's are legal? Just because they say Garrett, means nothing. You'll obviously need to run a PFC or similar to facilitate a tune which is an arse rape from Regency right there. Secondly, -7's are more responsive than -5's due to -7's small Comp and smaller Inducer on the Turbine.........not 100% sure, but I think the -7's & N1 are similar in size so if you want something with a little more grunt (and slightly laggier) then go the -5's

No need to go that far dude.......there are always greener pastures ahead. Possibly a good time to start consolidating finances Tangles.......work out what you need and what you don't need then sell......but be patient when selling stuff. Maybe good idea to stop spending $$ on go fast bits for the cars for awhile.........I know it's easier said than done sometimes. Hang in there bud
