  1. err yeah Scandy, Go The POWER !!
  2. Anyone getting a group together to watch at a pub? Is it being televised anywhere?
  3. Don't get me wrong, I love my boxing...........wasn't too long ago that a bunch of us would go to the old Hilton pub (South Road) and watch Tyson fights (when he was the good guy ) But like I said, these days it's all about the purse and the reason Green has such a big head these days is from ONE fight a couple of years ago...Roy Jones jnr........I don't rate his recent wins as much as that fight which put him on the map. Having said that, Green will take down this old fella from the States..........who's not sure what weight division he belongs in.......and should stick to acting in "B" grade movies
  4. Yeah I agree Andrew.....servicing the loan (or loans) is the key........no bank will look at you otherwise
  5. Real men don't need gloves......or throw in the towel when they get a blood nose.........or have their opponents hand-picked for them Boxing these days is all about money........different story back in the day when boxers weren't dictated to by their managers.....most only had a trainer, not a manager.......Ali was the greatest and always will be ......and who said Green hasn't gotten cocky in his old age???........I must be watching a different channel to you blokes........admittedly, he's not as bad as Mundine, but not as good as him either unfortunately. The Green (with no Tattoos) that fought Mundine for the 1st time (and got absolutely flogged) was a humble bloke..........the new Green that's come out of retirement with all the new Tats has got a massive ego problem
  6. If thinking about an investment property, don't wait till your principle place of residence is paid off...........as soon as you gain equity in your home, use it for a deposit (security) for an investment The growth will take care of itself......if you wait till it's paid off, you've missed out on the capital gain from your investment property.........obviously you need to be able to service the new loan. ....and that's where the principle vs interest debate starts............principle & interest payments on your home but interest only payments on your investments...........keep your loans on the investments fully drawn so as to give you servicing power for further investments Once you're ready to retire (sooner than later hopefully) you can sell off 1 or 2 of the investment properties which will pay off the others due to the capital growth. Let the properties work for you, not the other way around.
  7. LOL Andrew. John Munroe's new boy........Brad
  8. Meh...I'm seriously over staged fights......which is what you get these days as far as match ups go.......gimme UFC anyday! Plus I think I'm shampooing on that day
  9. Adrian's good in bed
  10. Typical of a much larger injector .....and as Martin stated earlier, over fueling can lead to glazed bores on an engine that hasn't bedded it's rings to bores yet..........I've seen many new engines burn oil like a worn out engine and once that happens, there nothing you can do about it (other than strip it down to a bare block again)
  11. yeah it's the old "pay $2 to save $1" (negative gearing).....not very sound investing.........very long term proposal I've always tried to make my investments earn me "$2 for every $1 spent" (positive gearing).........makes you money straight away.....much harder these days unfortunately
  12. WOW!! Hence why Jin_Man is looking for a cheaper property. I draw a reasonable income from the Company but even so (if I had a mortgage) repayments like that would be the death of me
  13. Probably Huntfield Heights vicinity. Bit further from the CBD but the Southern Express Way makes up in travel time. Less maintenance issues too as it's a relatively new subdivision
  14. Check out some of the silly comments below after viewing the video. "sainvest" had something to say to them in return
  15. For that sort of money you'll get a small newish home 30km south of the CBD (around Huntfield Heights) or 25km north of CBD will get you an old trust home (around Salisbury/Elizabeth)
  16. yeah I agree.....anyone who orders steak "well done" in a restaurant should def be subject to carbon tax
  17. no doubt the wall thickness is what's saved you so far Simon. Unfortunately, even with that sort of thickness, it's probably only a matter of time due to the constant stress on the metal during expansion and contraction (much higher rate of growth than cast). Another reason why exhaust housings on turbos are all cast as opposed to S/S
  18. Your wish is my command

    Matsuri 2Nd July

So cables ties are OK? Sorry Luke, couldn't resist
  20. Pair of 19" Tyres wanted 245 x 35 x 19 Please PM me as I may not frequent this thread
  21. You're right Cara....I reckon 1/8 mile definitely has a place in regional areas which is def alot easier to accommodate. Having said that, 1/4 mile is what the majority of old school drag racers want in the major cities.......attendance proves that.
  22. LOL Cosi, what a small world.......I hope you keep on his back about the Motorplex..............and while I've got you here, see if he can do something about my rates for a commercial property of mine in his electorate
  23. Not sure about the statement "no one is interested in drag racing".... I bet if we had a proper drag strip, it would be chockas every Frid night. As far as 1/8 mile goes, I don't mind it but it hasn't got anywhere near the interest of a 1/4 mile strip. For 1/8 mile, you don't necessarily need huge power, just good a Holeshot and 2 gears............1/4 mile however needs a good launch and some top end power with all gears being used for the best result If we show too much enthusiasm for 1/8 mile, the Rann Govt will turn around and say, "you've got your drag strip, so why do you need another if this one seems to be appealing enough to the public" Give me the World Standard anyday.....1/4 Mile FTW!!!
  24. This is Joe Lenco's current policy but no mention of a Motorplex. Having said that, here is a past thread endorsing his interest in a Motorplex. My question is, is he still passionate about it or was it a ploy for a seat? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/309632-joe-ienco-officially-endorsed-upper-house-candidate-to-fight-for-adelaide-motorplex/
