Just a quick note to put entrants mind at ease. The ramp rate on the dyno was set to shoot-out mode. I'm betting 90% of entrants give your cars the odd squirt on the road which would load your engines more than the rollers would especially with a slight incline in the road. Many of you even do hills runs.........do you know how much brake you need on the rollers to simulate the same scenario?? A knock reading of say 60 under these road conditions would've barely registered on the rollers. Having said that, I understand the concern for those that entered and like I said before, if I have anything to do with another Dyno Day (irrespective of where it's held), the subject of AFR's will definitely be addressed.

not sure why he didn't use the exh analyzer to log the AFR's (I know the probe has a limited shelf life and is not that cheap to replace), but if there is ever another Dyno Day there again, that'll be a definite pre-requisite

yeah I asked about that........throttle is apparently like a bike but you press down for the brakes...........make a good line-lock, lol.

heck yeah!!! having Penny's V8 exhaust screaming in that workshop gave me goose bumps..........always good to have a nice mix of rides.

I agree, obviously stuff is said tongue in cheek and I'm certain that whoever you are, if you get jumped from behind, natural instincts don't get a chance to play a role. Having said that, seeing the car pull up behind, different peeps handle situations differently...........all that matters is that no one was seriously hurt though.

I'd go to my boot, find a bigger spanner, clonk him over the head, then steal his car!!

definitely over exceeded my expectations with those trophies Man I've been given some cheap plastic crap over the years.....this stuff was solid and weighed as much as a brick!!!

What a terrific day's event. Cars were all on schedule, everyone involved did their bit, went alot smoother than I anticipated and was good to meet many new (and old) friendly faces. Apart from the SAU-SA execs who did a terrific job, a big thankyou must go to the 2 Johns that hosted the event, Martin (Hostile) for his tireless effort on the BBQ and the girls that helped out; Sammy (Damo's girl), Penny (ontheranch), and Vu's girl (sorry, forgot her name). Also good to see some SAU representation there by the Mods and new members; Matt (whatshisname) & Andrew (Nightcrawler) with his little fella who prefers Nene over me, LOL. Congrats to all the winners and the Dyno King, Andrew Blue32.......nice flame show! Now I need to go and pass some snags to make room for the Missus's lamb roast............or I'll be dead meat!

My blood's boiling just reading this thread.......glad you got it back bud. I probably would've gone for his eyes and larynx rather than the keys...........and maybe snap his neck as he tried to drive off!!!!
