  1. Kinokuniya is at least twice that (rhd's) price!
  2. The stipulation Peter is 9000Kms (not 90,000Kms). The thread is in General Automotive where "walkoau" titled it, "NRMA Vintage Veteran and Classic Insurance". Enjoy the read!
  3. On the box of alarm-immobilisers there should be a code stating, "AS/NZ STANDARDS CERTIFIED". The stock immobiliser is not up to AS/NZ standards. And yes MK, certain suburbs/postcodes are regarded as high risk. You can live across the road in fact as in a different suburb/postcode and be deemed as lower risk. I find it sadly quaint that in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne many of the high risk suburbs are referred to as the western suburbs.
  4. If that stolen (off the docks) silver '94 R32 GTR has been already insured, a claim can be made first through the owner's insurance company and subsequently the company will claim against whoever they deem to be at fault.
  5. Insurance Companies - at least some of them - will insure your precious import comprehensively as it arrives in Australia. Points to take note of are... * Upon arriving in an Australian port, you can get your insurance company to cover the car for the usual things according to the PDS * Since the car will take months to get through procedural matters, you may decide to insure the car at first, for fire and theft Vs full comprehensive * You need to supply the VIN Number * You do not need to have a Registration Number; nor would you have one (unless your plates are on order) * You need to have proof of ownership from the agent and country that the car was exported from * After compliancing and registration, you then need to update your insurance company with Modifications, Engine Number and Registration Number * If your car is insured for fire and theft only, you may then upgrade to full comprehensive after registering it Forewarned is forearmed.
  6. Hopefully no towies and cops are in on the scam?
  7. So a car might be stripped (by 4 guys) 5Km away within 2 hours?
  8. WA has 38 thefts/10,000 registrations - 25% more than the next worst State in NSW. Things are so out of hand that "Black Knight" trackers are being offered to owners of 'High Risk' cars' owners for linking to their phones. Thoughts?
  9. I'm not really that nice a person. I'd do the same for an enemy. Gotta know what address I send the bell housing.
  10. Great testimony Peter
  11. And on the Plate, there's a line called "Model No." This tells you what the car came with, at Nissan. It's an alphanumeric code that can be sorted out via Iron Chef / J-Spec / Prestige/ JLM as Francis said above.
  12. Large hail forecast for the Hunter. Newie ppl under cover! Sydney ppl are outta there right?
  13. Yup 15 pics on Carsales. Interesting outcome perhaps...
  14. Thanks for your input to Mick. So it looks like... 1) tyre change to 35 profile 2) source progressive springs to suit Bilsteins > raise car 3) yet to be considered > guard rolling
  15. Edifier's R34 GT-R VS2 is fine. Small leak at offside front > needs attention - that's all.
  16. Had asthma last night. My arm is being twisted. Will see... Thanks for support. I'm meant to meet with Ravi, Chris and Charles/Clint ...oh yeah > got sticker for Ian
  17. I wouldn't bother Benji. There'll be wet spots on the Putty so everyone's car will get dirty. I'm only coming to the Meetup at McGraths Hill guys. See you soon in Maria's 3l turbo hehe...
  18. Thank you Raj. Wongy gave me a heads up about the same type of car as mine F/s on CarSales. Guess the asking price!
  19. Your family is not laughing anymore!
  20. Welcome Mark to SAU. Quality control in Japanese cars is remarkably good. V36 Coupe is a nice car! Over the yrs, my wife and I have had E36, E46 and 2x E39 bimmers. Our main problems were Vanos and water pumps/side tanks. I still love the E39 M5!
  21. ...and I'll bring my GPRS eftpos machine Welcome to SAU.NSW Henry!
  22. Hi Raj, I like it as it is. Bob supplied me with the boost controller too > fits into the pod. Thanks for your thoughts - even if there are loving criticisms. Opted for the Fujimura Splitter - Its decal spot is an exact fit with the N1 decal.
  23. 18x10 +20 > tyres are 255x40 > should be 255x35
  24. I'm coming just to the assembly Bob at McGraths Hill. Many thanks to you, I've used the F&R Suspension + the as new steering wheel. I'm not sure if I'll bring the BNR32 because it needs lower profile tyres on it to eliminate a bit of scrubbing at the front. Started detailing in spots. Labour of love. And thank you too for the sticker which is a beauty. I've pulled a Billy Joel Cassette - lol
