Anyone who can confirm that what I said is true about 02 sensors? Can we tune the close loop map without the using of 02 sensors?
-
As NYTSKY said you 11.8 is safe! Don't risk it with 12.9!! I know many tuners that tune with afrs like yours but it is risky and to have many horsepower! Better safe than sorry! If you have with 15psi 12.9, try 12psi or less!! Better safe than sorry! Buy a PFC or remap your stock ecu. It is cheaper than to rebuild your engine!! Better safe than sorry!
-
My tuner said me that he will tune my rb26 r32 without using any O2 sensor! A car needs 02 sensors (narrowband) to have stichiometric afr (14.7) at close loop... But I read also in this forum that we can map the close loop without using O2 sensors but I didn't understand in this topic if we have better economy with 02 close loop or with map close loop.

DiRTgarage I think about this and yes I will have a simple rev limit.. better safe than sorry (for my turbo life) but also my car is RWD with 750hp with drag radials (hoosier 275-60-15).. if I launch with boost (rich with retard advance) I will spin too much!! So for start I will use a simple rev limiter to launch.. or just nothing for the first times! Also I have no idea with what rpm to launch! Sydneykid my car with stock ecu will have the same horsepower with a standalone? As safe as with standalone? Unbelievable chepaer that with standalone? I don't need the race functions of one standalone.. only launch control that stock ecu can have it too! It is a car for street use and for drag races! So why to do it?!? I prefer to spend theese money for a gear set!! Hehe!
-
Gary I don't need all theese super functions! I will never use them. I will not need something more than Nomura haha!! Or R348 Blitz! The only functions that I need is a launch control and I will have it. Two maps on the standar ecu and when I will have the handbrake up I will have launch map.. with rev limit 5-6 rpm and with retard ignition and rich afr.. no too much aggresive because I don't need to destroy my expensive T04Z!
-
Thanks for you reply!! Very usefull...! That's why my engineer wants single! He told me that we will have problems with the idle! I use tomei gasket combiation kit so I have all of them but they are all metal... I don't know what it is phenolic and if they are! How can I see it? So I will go for greddy or nismo And I will choose Greddy as it has half price
-
Yes that is the launch control I don't know how do you mean that jap drag cars starts but I will use the launch control with a pussbottun at the knob.. When I am ready to go I will leave the clutch and the button! Or maybe I will do it with the handbrake.. with the handbrake up I will have launch map... and when I leave it down the car will start!!
-
Yes I mean plenum. Ok Nismo and greddy are good but the stock is restrict? My engineer like the single throotle plenums.. if I will change I would like to put a single throotle! They aren't good?

URAS Blitz has two project cars.. D1 Nomura rb25 that 2008 runs with motec and R348 890bhp with stock remaped ecu as in the fotos Really cool Do you understand why blitz use stock ecu?? They didn't have money for a very expensive ecu like me? Ofcourse they have unlimited money! Blitz don't sell ecus like hks, apexi, greddy! They sell just remapped ecus with blitz sticker.. So they advert stock ecu to don't let the people to pay money for aftermarket ecu that they don't sell. So as Nomura's D1 car all the years had stock ecu why not to have my car too? And think about it... D1 car that sure it needs antilag and other abilities of standalones.. Also 890bhp that has the blitz R348 sure they aren't little! STOCK ECU IS AS GOOD AS ANY ELSE
-
Because I didn't believe that the Blitz, one of the bigger tunning industry in the world use in the D1 Nomura stock ecu I try to find if it is true! And ofcourse it is All blitz projects have blitz access ecu (stock remapped ecu). ’00 Nissan Skyline ER-34 D1 Spec http://www.jtuned.com/content/templates/sp...35&zoneid=5 Blitz Project R348 Blitz GTRBLITZ know how to explore the potential in the GTR, and have proved it with their latest monster, the R34 Project 348, where they took a road legal modified GTR up to 215 mph on a German Autobahn using parts straight from their catalogue. On the day the car ran, it used 2.3 bar boost (34PSi) and ran 890 BHP... The 890 BHP engine uses a single KKK turbo charger, 6 x 1000cc injectors, uprated intercooler, induction kit, Nur Spec 'R' exhaust, DSBC boost control, Multi Speed Turbo Timer, Uprated pistons, High performance camshafts, uprated suspension, Blitz Aero bodykit, oil cooler, uprated clutch, Blitz Technospeed Z1 18 inch rims, Brembo 6 pot brakes, and Access ECU upgrade. Blitz Skyline RB26DETTAll these parts are made by Blitz or made exclusively for Blitz and are available for purchase. The R34 uses the latest colour Technospeed Z1 rim from Blitz. This unique design of split rim is in a metallic grey/silver colour, and has fine details such as individual gold studs, and a smart Blitz logo centre in matching gold. The R348 yielded 343KPH which is not enough to break the world record set by the Veilside R34 in Rotorua (New Zealand), but it's still an incredible speed, and it is highly likely that Blitz will continue to strive to beat this awesome record. You can see the z32 mafs

It will be restrict the stock intake for the T04Z? Better to buy a china big single intake?
-
URAS this isn't Nomura's blitz r34 right? Can you post some fotos of the engine please? Duncan I don't know exactly what he do for lauch control... but in my previous engine ca18 with stock ecu I bought from uk a multiboard with launch control.. but it was simple a rev limiter at 4500rpm! I ask him if he mean rev limiter and he said me.. ofcourse no.. launch control! Adriano the revlimiter map that I had in ca18 (something like launch control) started with handbrake up (relay at the ground cable) So guys nothing wrong with the stock ecu...! Can manage the engine as safe as an aftermarket ecu! Ofcourse I will choose it as it is also easy way

3lit3 32 I have tuner who can install a daughterboard in the stock ecu two have more than one maps! And he can put in one map launch control map! Not rev limiter... launch control! Theese are what he said me! paulr33 For LINk we haven't anyone mapper in Greece. Anyone have link ecu waiting an australian tuner to come to Greece some times in a year...! We have good tuners for power fc but the tuner that tune nissan ecus are quite good too. URAS I don't know the jap man that you tell me but what is the limit of the stock ecu? Maybe the limit of the z32 mafs! You mean Nomura's R34??? Blitz D1 car has stock ecu??? A so expensive car has stock ecu? Are you sure about this? What horsepower it has? I will go definately for stock ecu!! Nomura have... why not me too??

Can anyone help me with the rear abs sensors? How they work? Each sensor have 2 wires! What voltage they need to work and how they work? What signal send to the ecu? What the difference if the the gear that reads speed is larger? (S13 smaller than GTR gears )! To be more specially. S13 diff has one rear abs sensor in the driveshaft.. GTR diff has two rear abs sensors in the axles.. I want like crazy my car to have ABS! I will not drive it without abs!! So please help me to make it work! I think to put one abs sensor in one of the rear gtr axles! But as I said gtr gears has larger abs gear.. so which abs sensor to fit? S13? GTR? Any other idea! Please don't say me to don't use abs!

You can see my setup in my signature. I was in mind to use stock ecu as it is full remapable.. with two z32 mafs. I have a friend here in Greece that he can map the car with stock ecu and with launch control. The only I need from an ecu is a launch control and civillized working of my engine with 11-11.5 afr. Has any problem with this the stock ecu after a remap? If all theese can give me the stock ecu is there any cause for aftermaker ecu? I can buy also a brand new LINK Generation 3 ecu that it is very cheap and it can work with stock sensors.. only need an air temp sensor. And with a solenoid can adjust the boost pressure (so if I put the Link, I will sell my apexi avc-r). But which will be the gainings of an aftermarket LINK ecu for me? For other people that wants more for an ecu will be usefull but for my requirements that I said you? Your replies will be very important for my choice

Do you know the fitting of the HKS? I have a T04Z turbo... is it easy to fit? Edit.. I search for it in google but it is only available from nengun and from nitro-performance.com! No many info for this items and also no any feedback! At nitro site they said that it is 1/8PT! Easy to fit in T04Z? Also there is a copy on ebay.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TURBO-TURBO...1QQcmdZViewItem But very identical copy.. and they said that it is from japan..
-
Good!!! I will choose HKS! Do you use theese filters? Are they really guardian angel of our turbos?
-
A normal?? :| I mean for something like this... We can destroy a turbo for some metal burs!! In a high modify engine it is very propable some metal burs from somewhere in the engine...! This small think they said that can safe our very very expensive turbo!! Special in rebuild engines is very propable stay some metals burs in the engine...
-
Anyone who use turbo oil filter? Is it usefull? Do you use it in australia? Any brand that you know to buy?

Sidneykid so there is no difference in reliability either with non-return valves or without ? Either with or not the result is a blow engine ? I have egt and wideband gauges with warning so I don't think that I need a fuel pressure gauge. But think also.... if we have non-return valves and one pump don't work we will not understand it! Right? So more dangerous!! Maybe when the one pump stop to work to survive my engine... but if the car still works with one pump I will detonate it many times!! But if you think that with 2.5 fpr at surge tank the one pump will feed the engine properly at low demand for fuel so I will still don't understand the non-work pump.. so if I don't put non-return valves better to don't use fpr to stop the fuel feed totally. Adriano I like the idea of fuel pressure regulator at the surge because I will be sure that the surge tank is absolutely fuel. Also if I choose to don't have non-return valves the lines will be empty so long try to start the engine.
-
I have two 044 with surge tank and one walbro intank. The return from surge tank to fuel tank will have a stock fuel pressure regulator without any vacum so 2.5bar fuel pressure!!! Geoff can a T04Z runs with one 044? All people here said me no in a topic! I need two! So if one stop work and the other continue to work?? What will be the result? A blow engine!!! Right? If we have two and one stop work without non-return valves the fuel of the working pump will not go in the engine so we will avoid the lean running. But we will have a little fuel that will injected in the engine... because the surge tank have 2.5bar fuel pressure.. So I will save my engine with this method? Or I will blow it too?
