  1. How did the wiring up of the Bose sub go into a non-Bose stereo'd M35? One up for sale in SA at the moment and am going to be replacing the factory head unit in our Stagea when it arrives with something that has an AU radio, bluetooth and iPod/iPhone connectivity. Putting a sub box in the back seems pointless so this spare wheel mounted one could be a goer.
  2. Bugger, I was looking to get these but still waiting to get our new Staj from J. It's on the next boat at the end of the month.
  3. That's about right Jase, check out my post here on the Akebonos for M35/G35/V35 including delivery (with and without rotors): http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/185569-m35-info/page__st__1760__p__6204845#entry6204845
  4. Do you have any pics? Was there any suspension work done to it? Any rubbing on full lock? I've mentioned on another thread that I've found some 19x8x5+35 or 19x9.5+40 from Avant Garde (Model M368) that would suit the M35 really nicely.
  5. OK, so I thought I would get some costs on the G35/V35 brake upgrades from Coz Ceh at Concept Z Performance together including airfreight costs for both with and without rotors. I did this as I've just purchased an M35 Stagea which is able to fit these up and wanted to know shipping prices to get them to Australia. I have no affiliation with CZP, just throwing this up for you V-series folks like I've already done for the M35 chaps. Full Kit w/ Rotors: USD$445-475 Full Kit w/o Rotors: USD$240-280 The range in prices is for East Coast to West Coast delivery. Specifically these would cover the following kits with Rotors: - Akebono Infiniti G35 F&R 14 Inch Big Brake Kit w/ Stoptech Rotors, SS Lines, and Motul Fluid - USD$1839.95 - Akebono Infiniti G35 Front & Rear 14 Inch Big Brake Kit w/ Stoptech Rotors, 03-06 Sedan, 03-07 Coupe - USD$1695.95 - Akebono Infiniti G35 Front & Rear 14 Inch Big Brake Kit, 03-06 Sedan, 03-07 Coupe - USD$1549.00 Or the kit without rotors (meaning rotors would need to be sourced locally: - Akebono Infiniti G35 Front & Rear 14 Inch Big Brake Kit - No Rotors, 03-06 Sedan, 03-07 Coupe - USD$1,405.00 Given that rotors locally could set you back around $1-1.2K, it's probably cheaper to get them all in the one package. That puts the mid-range package with the StopTech rotors at: - USD$2140.95 (AUD$2020.00) for eastern states delivered - USD$2170.95 (AUD$2048.00) for Western Australia delivered (Converstion rate used AUD$1 @ USD$1.06) Without rotors you're looking at: - USD$1850.00 (AUD$1746.00) for eastern states delivered - USD$1880.00 (AUD$$1774.00) for Western Australia delivered When you consider that a decent set of Brembos from either a BCNR33 or BNR34 can set you back close to $1500-$1800 locally used, which you'd then need to get new pads and potentially rotors for it seems like a steel. Whether you like the Infiniti logo or not is up to you, but CZP provides a service to powder coat and apply a different logo: CZP Akebono Powder Coated Calipers - ADD ON - USD$350.00 (AUD$331.00) Unfortunately for my liking, they don't have Silver as a colour for the caliper, but I'm sure it would just require a request (I've sent an email to confirm). Surface freight is still and option, but you would need to organise it from this end I believe. Cheers Brendan

There's a 'What Fits' thread over on m35stagea.info forums. http://www.m35stagea.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=108
  8. A couple of you wanted to see the car we bought at Auction last week, well here it is: http://www.fcautosource.com/ListingDetail.aspx?fcauto_id=214 Will look at fitting up the 'commsman' cruise and audio controls and replace the factory HU with an aftermarket one that is compatible (via adaptor harness) with steering wheel controls. Something like the Alpine CDE-123BTi or CDE-133BT would probably do the trick. Just need to confirm which adaptor harness I'd need. Wife and I are pretty happy with the buy, and I have a budget set aside to get some suspension and appropriately sized rims to go along with it. Cheers Brendan

Um, don't think it has the TV Tuner option no. But I do want to look at fitting a reversing camera, so will have to look at fitting a TV tuner of some sort. Ideally, I'd like to modernise the whole A/V package with some DVD screens in the headrests for the kids, but it's not a high priority, and we have portable options for that. What do most people do for a subwoofer if they don't have the Bose spare wheel sub in place? Don't really want to encroach on any of the cargo space really.

Going back a page there was mention of the iPod adaptor for the standard OEM deck. The Stagea we've just bought has the single DIN unit in place, but I have a question about the FM radio etc. Would it just be easier to just get a replacement head unit (HU), rather than hop up the factory HU with the iPod adaptor and frequency shifter?

Nismo also do a mat set for M35, quite understated with Nismo plaque on front mats. Probably a premium over the normal mats though. Another option is to look on http://bidjdm.com too.
  12. Yay, just got word that we won the auction. 2002 Nissan Stagea 250t Rs Four V Hicas (102,000kms), Grade 4/B, in Silver with Black Leather and Aero kit. It has the Single DIN factory stereo in it with the 3 gauges above it. The question about factory options, can you fit the steering audio buttons retrospectively? Or easier to just replace the steering wheel with them on (unless of course the steering wheel has some form of keyed security in it).
  13. What brand/where did you get it from Dale? I assume following the simple rules on this m35info forum thread is the way to go: http://www.m35stagea.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=281 BTW, do you need the TV tuner in place to have a camera?
  14. Hahaha, someone's firmly got a hold of your goat (remember that emails are still sent with the original message). Your response was a little harsh indeed, so I'll just ignore it. Note that an M35 Stagea is quite a lot larger than a Sirion.

I figure the 19x8.5+35's would be of a similar fitment to the 18x8+30 found on the 350Z rims. Where did you source your Avant Garde's from jasevr4?

    M35 Info

I've found a really nicely designed rim that should work quite nicely on an M35 Stagea from Avant Garde. Different design to jasevr4's, these are the M368 model: http://www.avantgardewheels.com/m368.php For the Stagea they have one definite fitment option of 19x8.5+35, but also a 19x9.5+40 which I'm unsure would work. Outside clearance would be fairly aggressive, but unsure how the inside clearance would go as well as full lock-to-lock interference. The rim seen on the front of this Lexus shows the correct design (as opposed to the full concave version) of the 19x8.5+35. 17. Over here you mean, yes we are. But this will predominantly be driven by my wife, and anything to reduce the potential for damage is a good measure by me I'm not saying my wife can't drive, but reversing into tight parking bays is not here strong suit - however having had two large cars (740iL and CX-9), she's certainly had enough experience albeit with parking assistors (camera, sensors).
  18. Has any of you Stagea owners had much experience with retro-fitting Nissan factory options into your cars such as the TV Tuner, parking sensors or reversing cameras (if you managed to find one)? Or is it simply easier to go aftermarket? Currently in the process of importing an M35, but finding a car with all the bits you want is a hard ask. Specifically for us, it would be great to have cruise control (which I see someone is providing a solution for) and a reversing camera. I would have thought that Nissan would do one loom that can fit all options, so generally it would just be a matter of mounting the hardware and plugging into the loom. Any thoughts, feedback or experience? Cheers Brendan
  19. Denzo, I can't recall, did this have A/C in it originally when it came over from Japan? Any ETA's on having it all buttoned up?
  20. Put the info up, will be handy for others who stumble across this post or searching the site. Does this person do L4's and L6's?
  21. Could someone with an R33 GT-R please check their space saver for me and provide me details on the size of the spare wheel/space saver tyre? I have an S13 Silvia fitted with R33 GT-R Brembo's and trying to determine the best combo of spare wheel and tyre to fit inside the S13 spare wheel well. Thanks Brendan
