want to give a shout out to MTQ engine systems in Dandenong they gave the cheapest price on -7 ($2042) Picked up my -7's yesterday and it came with an adjustable actuator. my question is whats the base boost of the actuator and whats the max boost? i ask the guy he said he didn't know, and couldn't get in contact with Garrett. http://img228.imageshack.us/i/image0059.jpg/ http://img237.imageshack.us/i/image0058l.jpg/

okay guys ordered the -7 from MTQ engines systems in Dandenong http://www.mtqes.com.au/index.php was the cheapest by far forget the price (around $9**), was gonna get the -9 like everyone said but the guy said it will take about a month or two to get in , whilst the -7 he can get overnight. my question is what type of actuator does the -7 comes with because i thought they came with actuator but he said it didn't. the guy said i can choose the actuator im a bit confused on which one to chose, he told me there's a couple to chose from like 6psi, 10psi...etc don't know what one to chose hopefully you guys can help me The turbos are going in a R32 GTR with only cat-back, high flow cat and front pipe on it
-
thanks mate, that clears up everything
-
anyone else got experience with the -9 Did a search: this is the same turbo as a -1 but the -1 comes with an actuator
-
so the 2859's are the "-9" everyone's is talking about that are better that the -7's
-
looked onto the garrett website http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/ Noticed they have two type of "-9" this one has the name GT2859 http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...9R_707160_9.htm This one as the name GT2860 http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...0R_739548_9.htm Both of them are "-9", which one are you referring to R31Nismoid. the first one doesn't come with an actuator, whilst the second does come with an actuator.

sounds interesting!! mite get steel wheel why does -7 cost more than -5, when -5 are the larger turbo? http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...rison_sheet.htm do you have address of your shop cause your site doesn't have it. how much can a steel wheel be boosted, how much power do you think i'll be looking at?
-
thanks for the info guys weighing up the cost of a rebuild plus steel wheel ($1600-$1800) also the down time, i don't reckon it worth it compared to getting brand new Garrett -7 Looks like im getting Garrett -7 just thinking about it makes me excited
-
have you got the number for "rotomaster" Hopefully getting steel wheels installed cost less than $2K closer to $1,5K, if not i will get Garrett probably -7 cause the -9 i will have to folk out more money for actuators and their relatively the similar
-
