  1. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ From what i've read it's true. HPI did a write up on it aswell and had the same issue
  2. *uses Paris Hilton voice* That's Hot!!
  3. I can think of three things... ... all of them involve whipped cream
  4. Yes mine is going to return the stock route, but i wont be using the stock piping. I will be having some stronger thicker piping made up using mild steel. This will be the same size as the Jap kits which also come back the stock route, and i've noticed that the air box etc isn't used when these kits are.
  5. Hey guys and girls Just wondering if anyone has pics of their, or anyone elses R34 Gtt's engine bay with FMIC cooler pipes installed. I'm getting mine done next week and i'm just wondering about the stock air box and air intake pipe. I am guesing they are no longer usable due to the pipes being too big and thus the air intake pipe being unsuable, which in turn stops the airbox getting an air feed. So i am thinking i will have to go for a pod with a head sheild or something, but thought perhaps someone had found a way to use the stock air box. I'm after pics of either of these set ups, FMIC pipes and still using the airbox (and perhaps the air feed), or with a pod filter set up (with a heat sheild/box, or however you have done it). Sean

  10. Hey Guys and Girls Ok i'm about to purchace a FMIC for my R34. Now i'm trying to decide between a bar and plate, or a tube and fin. I will be purchacing the cooler from Just Jap and then getting the pipe work made up by a workshop (Jazmac) so that in runs through the stock piping holes. The bar and plate cooler is bascially the hybrid style cooler, whereas the tube and fin is called a Delta Fin cooler and has the same construction as the Apexi GT core with the angled runner design to get more flow. From what i've read the Tube and fin will flow extremely well, but wont cool as efficently as the bar and plate. The bar and plate on the other hand will cool more efficently, but no flow as well as the tube and fin. I'm not aiming to make huge power, it will simply be tunning in conjuction with a turbo back 3 1/2 in zorst, pod filter and a boost increase to around .07/.08 bar. So just under the 200kwatw mark. Both coolers are 600 x 300 x 76, so i am just after some opinions on what people think could be best for me. I'm especially interested if you are running ither of the coolers mentioned on your car. Cheers Sean
