  1. 8 pages of complete crap. In future warnings will be handed out to those that cant resist posting stupid comments and ignore the forum rules. Closed
  2. The front bar needed trimming, but I still have the factory mesh in place The core design used on the Apexi GT Spec is by far the best I have seen
  3. Contact Just Jap in Sydney, I was looking at their new intercoolers for GTR which can be had for around $800 and from memory they are a tube and fin core, around 100mm thick. Cheapest I have seen, and they look to be a pretty decent core as well Alternatively, im running the Apexi GT spec monster intercooler on my 33 GTR and its one beautifully made intercooler but the cost jumps up to around $1500, mind you the core is 138mm thick - I purchased it from UAS and from what I understand there is limited stock as Apexi no longer manufactures them
  4. This is normal
  5. They are terrible pistons, you only have to look at one and examine its design to understand. From memory the skirts are VERY thin, compared to other aftermarket pistons like Arias, CP or ACL I personally have heard nothing but terrible reports about them, and know of a handful of freshly build RB26's that had to be pulled down and have pistons replaced due to the majority of the new Venolia pistons cracking around the skirt.

  8. Exhausts, intercoolers - 'Hybrid' vs (insert other chinese copy here) Is all the same stuff
  9. This is a stupid arguement, and I really think some people miss the point entirely. Hybrid has achieved what they set out to achieve by creating a 'brand' name for themselves which leads consumers to compare the quality of some coolers and other products on the market to the 'genuine Hybrid' item. On the subject of intercoolers,Hybrid were basically the first company to tap into the cheap intercooler market with the intercoolers made in China and Taiwan but after years of having the cheapest coolers around, every man and his dog now knows which factory they come out of and is buying them direct. Intercoolers, exhaust systems and other products from China and Taiwan surprisingly are of a very high standard and really are a decent quality product. The cheap intercoolers that flood the market handle some decent power figures too - up and in some cases over 300kw in fact. The majority of the exhaust systems and manifolds that are now available are also of a high standard Cliff notes: Comparing a 'hybrid' product with a typical china made intercooler is pointless, its the same product, only hybrid bungs a plate on the top to brand these coolers and other products as their own. Considering places like Just Jap sell these intercoolers for $175 delivered on this very forum, I dont think you can go wrong - I will be fitting one on my GTS-T shortly and I have looked at enough of them to be satisfied with the quality.

  11. The pics of the formal ladies dont seem to be loading
  12. No need to relocate the washer bottle! Dummy fit the crossover pipe that runs down to, and through the guard under the washer bottle to get an idea of where to position the hole. Under the washer bottle there is a very thin section of guard that you cut through using a 3 inch hole saw.

  15. Spotted some sick unit in a white R34 on Warringah road at Belrose an hour ago, hang on, it was Satanic
  16. Danny, bump it again, and I will close it. Please respect the rules and quit the daily bumping
  17. Dont you mean the T88H-38GK?
  18. At this stage no! Dart and CRD have been the two workshops behind the complete build and tune and the results speak for themselves. At the end of the day I had the motor build to withstand significantly more power than im actually chasing, to leave me a buffer should I choose to go after more HP at a later stage. So far for the street the GT-SS's have proved to be a great turbo choice so I really cant complain
  19. Your just a wealth of information arent you Lucien
  20. Ive been driving it for a few weeks now on the tune and all is going very well, I just need to get my hands on a better cat
  21. Interesting results Jim, thanks for posting the dyno sheet up Sounds like something better used in cars with aftermarket programmable ECU's rather than the stock computers
  22. There is plenty of room at the scrap heap for Z32's and R31's
  23. A few of us are booking in for the twilight session on December 9th - would be good to have a group from SAU there
