If the motor is coming apart, replace the bearings - They are too cheap to consider reusing them.

Depends what sort of crack we are talking about, minor or major, and where on the head. Its possible to have a cracked head, with the car showing perfect leak down and compression results and having no overheating related issues, but other symptoms being present.

HPI is a Japanese made kit, the Trust Spec M, is not. The HPI kit is an excellent kit for the money

Matt, these questions seem to get asked every other week, and almost everyone has differing opinions and their own list of preferred workshops or suppliers to deal with. The workshops you have already mentioned are all well known and respected, and one of them is a prominent trader on this very forum. There are a few more great places in my signature which you can add to your list

Realistically, you won't save yourself a few bucks by doing the installation yourself as fitting the Power FC takes all of 2 minutes. Your factory ECU is located behind the passenger side kick panel and its a simple matter of unplugging the loom and removing the factory ECU, and replacing it with the Power FC. Bare in mind the Power FC is shipped with only a base tune, and you will be tempted just to plug it in and drive around on it but this is not recommended. If you can control yourself and your right foot until you have the car tuned, you should be fine, but if you are the sort of person that likes to drive the car hard at times, don't risk it - Take the car, and the Power FC to your tuner, and let them take care of it. There are plenty of good tuners around, but recommending one for you is hard unless you actually tell us where your from
