  1. I don't' want to hijack this thread but just to add to my previous post. Ever since I bought the car (December 2007) I have regular services done on my car and I know the last service all fluids were changed, it's nearly time for another one so I'll mention it to the mechanic and see what they think. I can't be 100% to say that this was happening from the day of purchase, I'm also guessing if it is that the oil has gotten too thin this won't be resolved simply by changing it now would it. Does it mean it's time for a new diff?
  2. I have the same issue and I do hear the sound when I'm slowing down and also sometimes when I stop at lights, kinda sounds like a little 'donk' (it will do this once each time). It can also hear it when I take off sometimes too, it's very noticable when the car is cold and I roll out of the garage.

  8. I'm looking for a front left & right inner fender guard for a 1997 R33 GTST.
  9. There is a similar scam going around that is for rental properties "I'm overseas send me the bond and ill send you the keys" you would have to be a dick to send such as large amount of money without seening the item whatever it may be, but people still do..
  10. I had a similar problem and found it was a hair line fracture in the cooling line going to the turbo the little one at the back of the block. Sorry not very descriptive I'm not a mechanic, if you want I can take a picture and post it for you.
  11. I own a R33 and I have to admit that I do see a lot of tools driving them but I also see alot of tools driving a lot of other cars too. I think you'd find that any make of car which has I guess you'd call it a reputation (good or bad) will have morons who own them. I see a lot of these comments state how R33 owners are the worse offenders so next time I see any of you on the road I'll wave maybe even blow you a kiss if your lucky so dry those eyes.
  12. What scum... they'll get theirs, what goes around comes around.

  14. So is anyone able to answer my actual initial question?
  15. Thanks just wanted to make sure that this is the best place to start, also do you know if my stock injectors will support such a pump?
  16. I'm not saying I'm not getting mods I just ment that until I go through and get the engine and the rest of my car up to a good running condition I'm not going to do anything extra. So as a starting point I figure once I have got this done why not start by getting a fuel pump in a dyno the car, and if that the correct starting point will the fuel pump mentioned be supported by stock injectors or will they need replacing at the same time? If replacing the fuel pump and putting the car on the dyno isn't the correct starting point, then what is? What I ment about not getting a FMIC is because the car has a stock turbo I may as well until I do a turbo upgrade keep the stock intercooler and then do the whole upgrade i.e. turbo, intercooler etc... So am I right in thinking this is a good starting point or not? Thanks,
  17. To tell you the truth I haven't really thought about it much all I'm doing at the moment is pretty much replacing parts. I spoke to a guy in Marrickville and mentioned about getting some work done, he said that the best bet is to put a new fuel pump in dyno it then think about doing other things. A couple of people I have spoken to say to put in a FMIC but I don't really see the point of putting one in whilst having stock turbo so until I am ready to do a upgrade I'd prefer to wait. As for mods like I said I don't really have any, I've just mainly been replacing parts: parts that I have replaced so far: suspension (front/rear) viscous coupling radiator timing belt engine belts gaskets heater core thermostat (kept all up-to-date servicing) mods: turbo timer exhaust aftermarket radiator Eventually I will want to do a turbo upgrade (no idea what one/type) until then I am just wanting to get it performing nicely (I know I am and maybe already have replaced parts I did not need to, but call me paranoid but I just like knowing that such and such is a new part and is working correctly).
  18. I have a 97 gtst s2 it's pretty stock I have been over a period of time replacing parts i.e. gaskets, radiator, heater core, coupling etc... my question is I am wanting to replace my fuel pump now with something like a Bosch 040 fuel pump. Will I need to replace my injectors or will they support this pump? Also do people recommend this pump or is there something else I should look at before I do this.
