Nothing stopping you from getting one... I think it's just for looks, but then again, it's seen to serve a purpose... Only way to know is to try it and see if the water temps are cooler, then you will know that the air is definitely going towards the radiator.

Just for looks, I think... Cause when you shut your bonnet, it sits over the radiator anyway, acting as a cooling panel, directing air to the radiator.
